Looking for dealership suggestions from which to buy a 2013 Hyundai Sonata GLS from, over the internet.
I'm in NW Philadelphia and willing to travel anywhere in Pa, DE, or NJ (and maybe further) for best deal. Previously bought online from Stateline Hyundai in Philipsburg, NJ, near Easton, PA.
(I am aware of but don't know much about Fitzgerald in Chambersburg, PA.)

I am working with a trade which they did not meet my price for the trade and that is the only reason I didn't buy the sonata. I did not tell them I had a trade so the price they quoted me for the sonata was the actual price without negotiating the trade. Bottom line: Is 20,074 a good price? I am still looking and willing to deal if I can find the right dealer! I live in DE... any thoughts?

Conicelly Hyundai in Conshohocken quoted me for $17906 + Tax/Tags(Sonata GLS) and Pacifico Hyundai in Springfield quoted me for $18600 +Tax/Tags(Sonata GLS). Not sure what the Rebates and Incentives are like. I spoke with both of them over the phone, and they kept on reinstating that this would be the price as long as I finance through Hyundai Finance. What do you think?

That is a pretty good deal...Thats pretty much the max discount we'd give and i'm at a dealer in MD. I'm assuming that includes $1500 finance rebate and $500 either valued owner or competitive rebate. Which means the discount is in the $2500 area. Means you are getting invoice minus holdback and probably most of the dealer cash.

When I search edmunds, KBB etc it says the fair purchase price averages around 27,400. But what I am confused about is, even if there are no rebates is this "fair purchase price" what I should be paying? In my mind that would be the price of the car and you would then apply rebates... so I should be paying 25,400 right?
I hope this makes sense... I asked the dealer about the fair purchase price listed on the sites and they "assumed" the websites include the rebates in their numbers. I assumed it does not. I love this car but I dont want to pay an extra 2k if I shouldnt be! Obviously

This forum has been great for me as I researched buying my stock '13 Sonata GLS, which I picked up yesterday....thought I'd share my deal:
Price of the car after discounts: $18,495.00
TT&L: $1193.00
Fees: $323.00
Total out-the-door: $20,011.00
I'm amazed at what you get with the Sonata for under 20 grand. And the 10-year powertrain warranty is the best in the business. The dealership was OK to deal with, for the most part....did everything over the internet until it was time to sign for the car. Beware the upsell tactics of the finance manager, though - he's going to try to convince you finance through the dealership (I advise against it - secure financing ahead of time) and he'll try to get you to extend the bumper-to-bumper warranty (I chose not to - the Hyundai warranty seems more than adequate).

I've spoke to 4 different dealers and all 4 are within $300 of each other.

The dealer's website has the MSRP listed as $29,980 and the "Internet Price" as $26,030. There's also a link that allows me to submit an offer to them online.
A few questions:
- Is the "Internet Price" different than the price they'd start me at in-store? Namely, is it lower, and as such, would that limit the amount I'm able to haggle?
- Is it wise / recommended to put an offer in and negotiate through the web?
And most importantly:
- What would your recommendation be for my starting offer? Would a 23k initial offer be realistic? TrueCar tells me my "target price" should be around 25.7k, but I'm seeing numbers by other recent buyers on this forum listing their final price in the 24k range.
Any tips would be appreciated!

i am looking for a hyundai sonata limited with premium package. i have $7,000 saved up. what should my first step be? my grandpa will cosign for me and he has a top credit score.
should i negotiate a price and then go in for financing or is there a separate process if you are getting financed. i don't want to get ripped off so any step-by-step advice for me would be greatly appreciated. im not familiar with any financing terms or stuff like that so i need some simple explanations. thanks

The dealer should be able to provide you with the second third and fourth fees listed above. State sales tax, state license fees and dealer admin fees will be the same no matter what what car you purchase from the dealership. Negotiate a total price including all for the items above, this is also known as the drive-off price. This will not allow the dealer to add any additional costs to your negotiated price prior to getting to showroom.
Based on pricing in my local area I would start off with a price of $23,000 for this vehicle that you are looking to acquire (prices can vary significantly by area, use truecar to get an idea of price in your area). I would use this figure adding the other three figures above and that would be offer made to the dealership. Hopefully you have the flexibility of maybe two or three colors that you would take this gives the dealer the opportunity to work with you on price a little bit more. Good luck.

Hyundai Finance generally has some of the lowest rates u will find.
60 months @ 0% even on their hybrids; Camry hybrids almost never get that.
Maybe they will soon as the newest Camry flunked the offset crash test.

I negotiated the payment down to $365.00 incl taxes. I also made them give me a 3 year prepaid service contract for free and made them throw in some hyundai keychains :P

I have asked for some online price quotes for 2013 Honda Accord EX-L V6. Some of them replied with the simple MSRP numbers asking me to call. I havent yet but i went down to a dealership today and got the following numbers. Lemme know if they are alright.
Price: 27k (includes destination & handling)
Doc fee & DMV: 360 + 400
Sales tax: 7% NJ
Comes to a total of 29650. No other bonuses offered. I am graduating in Dec but the honda site says we should graduate in the next four months to be eligible for the 500$ rebate
Can you please comment on these numbers and if I shud counter with something?

The one catch with this car is that it was "supposed" to be a loaner car (for other Hyundai owner's getting their vehicles serviced) but never ended up getting used by anyone. Unfortunately this knocks 10 months off my warranty because it was activated in Oct 2012.
All things considered, is this a good deal? The dealer claimed it was invoice price minus holdback + dealer cash. He should me the paperwork proving the holdback (somewhere around 800 if I remember correctly but only gave verbal confirmation of the dealer cash - which he claimed was 1000) Should I have negotiated it further considering the warranty aspect?
So far my customer service with them (after the purchase) has been very good. I'm a worrier though and want to make sure I got the best deal...

Alright, so I am a bit confused. How is the internet price already lower than invoice-rebates? From what I have read on here, the rebates and incentives available earlier in the year on this car led to out the door prices under $20,000. Does that look possible here?
I would like some advice on what a good price range would be to pay for this car (not including TTL). Should I offer $1500 less than the internet price? $1500 less than the TMV price? Any input is greatly appreciated.
