I got the price via internet. 2 dealers offered - Boch in MA and Peters Honda in NH offered to match Boch's price via internet + give a lifetime powertrain warranty.
I was actually in the car on the way to Peters to get the car but I called ahead to check on the deal one last time (I had spent an entire day emailing back & forth with Peters' internet rep). When I told her I wanted to confirm because I didn't want to be disappointed after driving 1 hour, she said they couldn't match after all, they would be taking a $4k loss, etc. etc. Good thing I didn't get all the way there - I would have been RIPPED. I gave her an earful for wasting my time and offering to match a price if they really couldn't.
Changed direction and drove to Boch. Good buying experience. Never had to speak to anyone by phone until I went into the store to buy the car. All price negotiations done by email. They didn't try to negotiate ANYTHING when I got there - I told them up front I didn't want accessories, etc., and they didn't bother trying. They just honored the price they quoted. I told the finance guy I didn't want the "service" plan - he said he had to go through the options because it was company policy but he did it quickly for me. No problems. Took longer than it should have waiting around for finance, etc., but still pretty smooth.
Good luck. Not many 12's left.
Thanks!
Picked up Running boards for an additional 999$
So altogether 35,039$
Do you think that was a good price? I feel like we could have done better.
We need a new thread for the 2014 Pilot slated for debut in the summer of 2013.

Best price at the moment. 2013 EX 4WD is $28,922, +$830 destination, +$500 doc fee, +$950 to add leather, and they threw in the trailer wiring harness. Don't forget the .9% Honda financing !
Every dealer offered to price match, but figured the one who offered the best price on their own deserves my business.
It looks like that ~32K for OTD will be a good deal.
Anyone can help me for the price range, if you have a recent purchase experience?
Thanks a lot.
It is really a pain for purchasing a new car and negotiating with dealers, I really wish I could buy a car like buying an item in a department store, just pay the list price. In that case, the delers will lose their job, it is not good.
I found using Edmunds and KBB to get dealer quotes worked very well. Dealers were hungry and responsive. This is in the Charlotte, NC area.
Was the 38.5 your OTD price? or was it price before TTL? If yougot it for 37 K base, that was close to invoice correct?
Cheers!
BTW, we averaged 21 MPG on the first 1300 miles for a trip we took. Car was packed full, 4 passengers, plus a hitch mounted basket w/300lbs on it !
It rides nice and quiet with plenty of pickup. :shades:

The invoice price I want to offer to the dealers is $31700 (including destination fee of $830) + tax (8.8% - $2800 to 9.3% - $2950), title & registration ($600) & doc fee ($400). With everything added comes out to approximately $35500.
Every dealer I talk to in Phoenix, AZ is laughing at this price and closest price I have gotten is still $1,000 more than what I'm willing to pay for this model.
Has anyone recently purchased this vehicle in AZ and at what price?
Should I stick to the price I want or do I need to increase by $500 or so?
Thanks
Is it a reasonable price? or shall I continue shopping around? Thank you very much for your opinion
I would try to get the dealer into that ballpark or start talking to some other dealers.
Any luck getting to price you want?
I'm in the Phoenix, AZ area and the best offer I have gotten so far for 2013 Pilot 2WD Ex-L is $32,000 + TTL. This price does not include anything extra such as door guards, tint, roof rack, side steps.
My $31,7xx 2013 Pilot EX-L 2WD price was the base price (options were quoted much higher, probably because they were inflating prices and installation charges, than the www.handa-accessories.com sales prices). I may be going in this weekend to test drive and try to negotiate at the closest Dealership A. I have no qualms with walking out if they are not willing to deal as I am in no immediate rush to buy today. Also by having email quotes I can use Dealership A to outbid Dealership B, then use Dealership C to beat them all, then go back to Dealership A for 'match or beat' negotiation since it is the closest dealership to my house. That was my strategy for my 2005 Honda Accord and it worked out fairly well. My only question was how some posters were getting quotes on the 2013 Pilot EX 4WD base price around $29,xxx. Again, I am in no serious rush, but if the price is right I can buy now. Also I was planning to pay cash instead of keeping the money earning 0.1% interest in the bank.
I saw somewhere that Honda Pilot 2014 was going to get make over and the exterior was going to be redesigned. Have you seen anything in this regards?
If this was the case I was thinking about waiting until summer to see what the 2014 looked like and if I didn't like the looks then stick with 2013 model and get better pricing.
Now I'm thinking of buying a new Honda Pilot (Denver location).
How much does it cost? and where can I buy this vehicle?
want to find the CHEAPEST and the most RELIABLE place to buy it in US...
This was in NorCal Bay Area.
