Advertising great deals - especially on roadsters.
Discount is actually shown deducted from MSRP.
Spring CDJ in Spring, Texas is also discounting.
It is a thrill to drive and I, love it. I, am 67 and my wife gives me a hard time
with my other love. I, never drove it in the rain and it lives in the garage.
Not a scratch or touch up paint on it. Runs perfect. It is an SRT COUPE
CHARCOAL GRAY.
I'm taking delivery on an '07 Ltd Coupe in March and would like to get the extended warranty, but may purchase from another dealership offering discounts.
Thanks
Dealer parts have to order them or do they come from a local distributor?
Any places to purchase them discounted?
Thanks
I'm taking delivery on my Ltd Coupe in March and would like to get the best warranty price available.
By the way, I'm a native northside Houstonian now living in East Texas.
Thanks

It should answer your questions. I would only buy a Chrysler warranty.
Send todk64 a PM on that forum and he can hook you up.
Chrysler has an SRT Division to handle warranties for all SRT vehicles. You choose
the length of time you want and the deductable or NO deductable amount you want. The warranty is bumper to bumper. All the auto Mfgs. seem to be in a race to get the longest time and mileage powertrain warranties. They are going to make
money from YOU or they would not be doing it.
That was my first choice to pick up an 08 since it is the final production run, but the timing for me does not work out.
Sad to say Tod is going to another auto dealership within his owner's group and will possibly not be involved in Crossfire sales to the degree he has been according to his recent post on the Crossfire Forum.
I will contact him about an extended warranty and get his input and maybe he can get the sale.
Thanks for the input.
The Crossfire was released with a lot of excitement. It was a significant departure from Chrysler's typical product line. And ultimately, it was panned by some for lack of pedigree and performance. But surely, it deserves a better place than the likes of the Cadillac Allante? Have I also just described the Pontiac Fiero?
I'm not flame-baiting by the way. I'll be buying my own Crossfire this spring!
Cheers.
Although I haven't driven one yet, I do like the different look of the Chrysler Crossfire. I have an appointment to test drive one this coming Thursday. My dealer friend has offered to let me take one for a couple of days to see if I like it. It is a 2004 Coupe with the 6-speed manual transmission. I would also like to test drive a convertible to see if I would be comfortable in a roadster. I understand the convertibles weren't made until 2005. My aim is a 2004 or 2005 model.
My first choice would be a yellow Crossfire Roadster which are few and far between. Second choice would be a red convertible. After those two I would probably go for a red coupe. My pending test drive in the coupe will give me a rough idea if I'll fit in it. I understand the convertibles are a little less roomy inside, so I would have to test drive a roadster after the coupe before I would consider buying one.
If perchance my test drive reveals I should seek a different model of vehicle, I would probably consider another Vette. Spring fever has struck and a change of cars is what's on my mind. I would like to hear from Crossfire owners to get their opinions about their vehicles re reliabilty, comfort, fun to drive (?), etc. I would also like to hear from anybody who may know of a Crossfire owner who is selling a vehicle as I described in the paragraph above this one. I would like to spend $14,000-$18,000 on this purchase.
Thanks for the read,

Someone on the UK Forum said this:
My wife went and traded her crossfire in. She was tired of not being able to drive it in the snow. She bought a Mazda 6 and is bummed out. She really liked it but not how it handle the snow and we have kids. Anyway, if anyone wants a decent '04 crossfire in Colorado. Macdonald Automotive group in Littleton has it. They only gave us $12,500 trade in. You can haggle them for 13K on it. I saw it today, at the lot, and must say it blows anything away as far as looks go in their used car area.
I called my dealer friend last night to make arrangements to test drive a white coupe he has on his lot. While I had him on the phone, I asked if he had any other Crossfires on the lot. He told me he had a black coupe but sold it. He further added he was expecting more in from the auction. While we were speaking two car carriers drive in and he tells me there appears to be a couple Crossfires on them and on is a yellow convertible. I almost fell out of my chair! I said, "A yellow convertible?" He replied, "Yes, I can see it on the truck."
Needless to say, I will be test driving the yellow convertible on Friday. I don't know what year it is or how many miles on the clock, but I'll soon find out. I just hope it's in my price range ($17000-$18000). I have two other vehicles and really don't want to spend a ton of money for a third vehicle that may only be driven a couple of thousand miles a year. Even my 2004 Hemi Dodge Ram Laramee which will be three years old next month only has 12K on the clock.
Watch for more posts regarding my search for a Crossfire!

Yellow is rare color in my area. There are plenty of blues, silvers, grays, whites, and reds, but no yellows for sale. Yellow was my first choice and as fate would have it, my dealer friend got one even before he knew that was my first choice. I was on the phone with him as the car carrier was pulling up to one of his dealerships. That's a definite sign from "Our Lady of Rapid Acceleration".
My desire for a yellow car goes back to 1969 when I purchased a 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T, 440ci/375hp. It was yellow with a black vinyl roof and the black R/T strip around the tail end. I use to drag race (track and street) with it, and my best time was 13.86 sec at 105mph in the quarter up at Epping Dragway in NH. I had the 4:56 rear end gears and 15" slicks for that time. That car came out of the hole with a single "chirp" and it was gone. I use to beat a lot of faster cars because they would be spinning their wheels while I was making for the end of the 1/4.
Next Thursday, I'm taking my 90 Vette Coupe out of storage and bringing it to my dealer for trade in. It's also a 6-speed with 78K on the clock. I've had the Vette for 7 years, and I purchased it from the original owner. It was a fun car but recently I've been spending money on it that I can't get back. Time for it to go. I'll miss it, but I will also enjoy owning a Crossfire even if it isn't this yellow roadster I currently have at home.

I'm glad you have decided to join us. My 2005 Roadster makes me happy every time I drive it or even look at it. It's not perfect but I enjoy driving mine 9 months of the year and I look forward to the spring each year when I put it back in service.
I am a "yellow person" as well. Unfortunately, the SRT-6 was not offered in yellow. I had to settle for a "subdued" silver sapphire blue, but it is growing on me.
As I definitely have the need for speed, I guess I can live with the color.
I've put around 100 miles on the roadster so far, and I just love it. I sat in a coupe for comparison purposes and my hair touched the headliner. There is definitely more headroom in the roadster. I can't wait to get to the good weather when I can drop the top.
Bye, bye Vette, and hello XFire!
Just living the dream!

I only have 2 regrets as far as Crossfire ownership goes:
1 - I love my daughter, but I regret having to give up my 2005 Black Limited. Loved that car.
2 - I should have gotten an SRT-6. I would have found a reason to keep that bad boy should I have purchased it!
Once again, and I'm sure others will agree, you are going to LOVE owning it! Just be prepared because people will harass you to talk about your car. The car wash became MySpace/Facebook live as the social spot in my town
you will want it. It happened after I bought mine. The more I drive it, the more I lke it. Even through the slushy snow it continues to amaze me. :shades:
I still have the Crossfire at home. My dealer told me to just hold on to it until they can appraise the value of my Vette this coming Friday. Sounds good to me! I figure I will be officially buying it next week.

If any of you see a yellow roadster go by and it has Massachusetts vanity plate "NORTH" on it, that will be me! I'm thrilled to add this vehicle to the family.
Any of you fellow Crossfire owners out there belong to the www.crossfireforum.org ? I've been trying to register and do some posting but I haven't been able to get on the board yet. Let me know if you're a member.

I would tend to agree with the others....this cupholder is a poor design and if you're in such a fine auto to begin with, don't drink a beverage nor smoke in it, not matter what country your vehicle is made in. Otherwise, get something, anything, that would be better suited to its' task.

I'm wondering if my golf clubs will fit in the trunk space of the Crossfire convertible with or without the top down? Will 2 bags? I'm not talking the huge cart bags, just asmall stand bag.
Thanks
Thanks for any help.
?? :confuse: ??
I am delighted to say that I have recently become a proud member of the Crossfire family. I do wish to pose a question to this forum as I have read most of your postings from 2003 to the present and I feel confident that your knowledge and expertise will point me in the right direction. Here is my situation. I have a 2007 roadster, automatic and frequently when I try to start the engine, the key will not rotate in the cylinder. The first time this happened, I jiggled the steering wheel and the key remained stuck. Then I called the dealership and spoke with a mechanic who suggested that I give the end of the key a solid whack. I told him I was not driving my PT, rather the Crossfire and I felt that whacking the key may damage it. He agreed that striking the key is not a good idea. He mentioned giggling the steering wheel, which I did again and still nothing. I did note that while I was on the phone with him, the locking/security mechanism seemed to be engaging and disengaging as indicated by a clicking sound and flashing red light on the dash. The mechanic suggested that I press the brake pedal and whatever seemed to be locking the key released its grip and the car started. Sadly, this has become a daily event for me. I end up wiggling the steering wheel and pressing the brake pedal to start the car. I have not noticed the locking/security mechanism clicking on and off since my first experience. In addition, there does not seem to be a connection with the car being hot or cold. I spoke with the dealership today and mentioned that I am not panicking at this stage; rather I am monitoring the occurrences, but I won’t hesitate taking it in for exploration. Please note that I have experienced the same results in using both of the keys that have come with the car. The thought crossed my mind that perhaps the undercoating application, that was applied just before I took possession of the car, may be interfering, but I am by far knowledgeable about cars in general. Is this a problem that others may have experienced? Does it sound like a sensor/computer issue? All recommendations and guidance is greatly appreciated!!!
With sincere appreciation,
Cheryl
Looks like there are different parts for manual or automatic transmissions.
