    •value package

    •premium package

    •6-speed steptronic automatic transmission

    •black, dakota leather seat trim

    •jet black

I do not really want the heated steering wheel, but was told that they all have it,
I did want the split folding seats, but was told it was not available. Also, on cars direct.com they have the spring drive credit extended to May 2.

It sounds like this is a Canadian deal from the metric measurements and the cost.

15K = ~9000 miles. Are you only going to drive it during the non-winter months? Otherwise, that's only 750 miles a month, and the extra mileage over the limit can be very expensive at lease end.

    $1,500 down...includes 1st payment

ok, I was reviewing my BMW finance paper and this is how it reads:

Sales price of vehicle as described: 41,170.00
    Allowance 10,500.00
Trade difference or sale price 30,670.00
    State sales tax 1,916.88
    Documentary fee 50.00
    License Fee 71.30
    Title Fee 34.00
    State inspection fee 23.75
    Dealer inventory tax 106.59
    Deputy fee 5.00
Subtotal (they left blank-but) 32,877.52, I added the above together
    Trade-in-pay off (if any) 7,909.60
Total Cash Price (they left blank)
    Cash deposit 1,000.00
    Cash down payment 1,500.00
Unpaid balance due at delivery 38,287.12

Ok so this is my beef (again I may not understand and I might be the stupid one). I need someone to explain the above.
They gave me $10,500 for my trade and I owed $7,909.60. If they gave me more than I owed (the payoff on my trade in), then why did they add back the $7909.60? I only thought that was added back into a new car finance if a person was upside down. I also put the deposit and the cash down payment.
Am I missing understand this? Can someone please help explain in detail.

It would be greatly appreciated, THANK YOU!!!!!!
    Carrie.

They paid you $10,500 for your trade-in (subtracted from your total)

They paid off the $7909.60 that you owe on the trade-in (added to your total)

Net benefit to you: $10500 minus $7909.60 = $2590.40 (equity in your trade).

Looks right to me... Unless you were expecting $10,500 more than what you owed on your trade?

    regards,

    Hi:

They did the calculations correctly. You benefited by only paying sales tax on the $30,670 sales price. Think about it this way: your trade-in is worth $10,500 to the dealership only if it was paid off. By adding the pay-off amount into the financing, they are letting you roll over what you owed into the new loan and decreasing the cost of the new car by the full trade-in amount as if the trade was paid off.

    Hope this helps.

I recently got quoted $2000 at signing and $617/mo (with taxes included) for a 36mo, 15K/yr lease on a 2010 BMW 328i coupe with the following:

    - titanium silver with black interior
    - sports package
    - premium
    - navi
    - ipod/usb adaptor
    - automatic transmission

Is this a good deal or no?

    Thanks

This was $500 better then I could get at any of the other 4 dealerships in my area due to the fact that sales are good for BMW in South Florida. There may be additional discount incentives when it arrives next month.

Just purchased my new and first BMW last week before the spring credit promo ends.

    2010 BMW 328xi AWD
    Black with Beige leather
    Automatic Transmission
    Premium package
    Value package
    Heated steering wheel
    Dark walnut wood trim
    Navigation package
    All weather floor mat
    MSRP: 42340
Price: 39400 (not including 2500 spring credit) + TTL

    Good deal ?
  • battguybattguy Member Posts: 2
I found that 2010 328i's are routinely discounted $3,000 off MSRP and an additional $2500 Spring incentive taken off the bottom line. However, the $2500 incentive is less than the depreciation hit for buying the 2010 over a 2011 received in mid 2010 when compared 3 years down the road. The principal advantage of a 2010 328i purchase is it is right now and not 8 weeks away.

    I'm just sayin'. :surprise:

    Is this a good deal?
    328 ix
    auto
    premium
    split fold down rear seat
    sat radio
    heated steering wheel

    38,500 - 2500 dealer incentive = $36,000

Dealer told me he can't do better on the price since he has to truck the car in from a out of state dealer to get the split fold down seat. This is the best price I was able to get from 2 dealers.

Just my $0.02, but I have to say that anyone who pays extra for an auto-slushbox should learn to drive stick and save themselves $1,300 right from the get-go. THAT's a good deal, and built-in to boot.

From what I can gather when searching for a 2010 335i about 6 weeks ago, there were about 130 of them in New England, and not a single 6-sp manual among them!

That's primarily why I ordered my 2011 335i xDrive built with THREE pedals. As to where in New Jersey my car is, who knows! Per my sales guy yesterday Friday 7th:

"Our inventory report shows your car as not released to the truckers yet. But Monday it may show as being released today and actually show up. On the other hand it may still be sitting there.Or on a truck in transit. Why can't this just be simple and straight forward. Monday will tell more, I hope !!" He's actually a really nice guy, but the rules prevent me from saying his initials are JM at a BMW dealership in Sudbury, MA.

By the way, if you call the BMW "hotline", they have no clue where the $50,000 vehicle you ordered is located beyond "it may be in Bremerhaven, and then again maybe not". With GPS tracking so accurate these days, they really ought to be able to tell us precisely where in the world the car is currently located. I have to assume that, as a Priority 1 vehicle, it wasn't on the lowest deck of a 100,000 ton steel car carrier ship.

    WHERE'S MY NEW CAR??!!!

My Dad just picked up a new 2010 Tahoe LTZ in February. He ordered it in December. The dealer he bought it from was able to tell us where it was up to a point. Onced it was off the train & onto a truck, there is no way of tracking the truck. He said "pretty funny how you can track the fedex guy down the street smokin a cigarette, but they have no idea how to find an almost $60K, 5000 lb truck."

I am getting a similar deal for 39600. Did your dealer take off the spring credit too? So it was 39400 - 2500 = 36900? Wow that was an awesome deal.

I'm a big fan of driving sports sedans with manual transmissions too. When I was looking for my 07 C350, I searched the entire country and found only 2 6-speed cars east of the Mississippi. The bad news is that you get HAMMERED at trade-in time. When I was going to trade it a few months back, I couldn't find a 335 sedan I wanted within 1,000 miles anyway. These cars are rare for a reason: most Americans can't/won't drive a 6-speed sedan.

Anyone guess is as good as mine but...
According to BMW CCA magazine, Roundel, the 4-door 3 series (code name F30) will come out next year. My guess would be around Sept 2011 as 2012 Model year.
The coupe usually comes out 1 year later.
The article in Roundel says it's moved a year ahead due to poor sales. Not surprising the way Audi A4/S4/A5/S5 are selling

If you lease it's not bad to get it now, you are not going to see this kind of discount on BMW when F30 is out.

so what is the quote you have received?
  • xeyexeye Member Posts: 168
As an FYI, my new 2011 335i xDrive arrived at the Prep Center in New Jersey about 2 weeks ago and should be in my driveway in Boston by now. I found out today that they are having what has been identified by my dealership as a "seat campaign" and they're waiting for parts, presumably from Germany on one of the next slow boats. The Prep Center is saying that the car should shipped by the end of the month. Apparently, a "campaign" isn't quite a recall, but nonetheless it's still a "paign". The GM at the dealership is saying that he has 8 other cars in the same situation. Now my new ride is at least 3 weeks away. Needless to say, I am really disappointed that a brand new car can't even be built without a screw-up. Did they only realize they had a major problem while the car was on the boat or did they build it knowing that they had a problem and shipped it anyway?

This does not bode well for my future as a BMW consumer or for their reliability. If you've orrdered a car and can't get any news, my suggestion is to become a major "paign" in your sales person's backside.

I am considering purchasing a 2007 328i wagon - CPO, with three years. The interest rate is excellent - 2.9% for 60 months. The car is offered at $27,800, which is about KBB. I plan to offer $2000 lower but the wagons are pretty limited supply. Anybody have recent experience in similar year/model? I am in SoCal.

I've been quoted $31,500 for a 2010 328i sedan, silver, with the basic value package, with moonroof, black leather interior, cd/ipod, etc. I'm not even sure if this is a good deal. Bluebook/edmunds say invoice is around 31,500. I am concerned about high payments and the dealership gave me a financing option (2.9% $454.79/60months, $10,000 down) and then a bmw select option (2.9% $271.00/60 months witha leftover $11,840 final payment). Is this balloon deal a bad idea? I really dont want high payments foR NOW, just graduating law school looking for a job. PLEASE HELP the deal if until the end of the week!! Any advise would be GREAT!! :)

Looks like on the expensive side. The car is 1 yrs old even though it's new. It's most likely have been sitting at the dealer lot for awhile. There's also a 2500 rebate for all 2010 model. I would wait.

I have to agree with you. It seems the car makers are trying to replace a manual tranny with a DSG and claim it gets better milage or the same.
Bought my car to downshift, brake and to throw it gear when I need the torque.

didn't you think to test drive a new S4 an let yourself find a whole new refference for excellence? The bmw xi is way down the rungs of the ladder vs the awd S4 3.0t. Make sure you don't drive one now that it is too late.

Hi, I recently go to some dealers trying to get a 2010 bmw 328i 4dr, premium pack, value pack, navigation,+floor mats

the MSRP is $40250 something, and I offer them $36500 OTD price.
The best offer they give me is $38000 otd price, is this a good price since the new 2011 is out already?

Is there any new promotion coming out next week?

    Hello,

I found a beautiful 2011 335i Coupe/M Package, Nav, Heated, etc. The MSRP is $54,700.

Here's the deal they are giving me (I'm an existing BMWFS customer):

    0.0023 Base Rate w/ standard 59% residual
    36 months
    15,000 miles/year

    $689 + Tax (8.75%)
    Total Drive off: $3,500

Is this a good deal - should I do it? They would not budge any lower.
    Thanks for the advice
