I can't do the drivers incentive as i have a USAA 1500 incentive you can't do both. I also can't do the loyalty as i'm paying cash. but one dealer said to finance for 3 months and then pay it off and you get the 1000 loyalty
  • zoombie99zoombie99 Member Posts: 320
If 60,815 is AFTER the rebates, walk away from the dealer. If it is before the rebates, it isn't that bad. You should shoot for 500 over invoice before applying the rebates. Call BMW of Tenafly and request a quote.

60815 is before the rebates. What is the invoice? THe cost of the dealer? How do you find that out?

The rebates i can get are 1500 from USAA (can't get the driver one and usaa)
If I pay cash i don't get the 1000 loyalty but it was suggested at a dealer to finace for 3 months and then pay it off.
They are giving me 3000 for my bmw 2002 525i.

No, don't go to dealership try leasing companies (Brokers), I got the following deal

535xi Alpine While +Premium+Tech+Cold Weather+ Driver Assist + High Beam and automatic rear curtain
    MSRP= $64600

$630/Month including NJ TAX, 10K, 36 months, $1600 Sign and Drive(Includes first month, DMV, Doc fee..etc).
After applying my $1000 driving experience voucher it went down $25 so same deal but $605/Month
With 7 MSDs it became $550 including NJ tax.. Amazing deal, right?
I went to 2 dealerships in NJ and they told me that this is not real and they cant match it and something should be wrong!!

Guess what, my broker told me that they are bringing the car from one of the NJ dealers look..

I didnt move forward yet as the guy who supposed to buy my current car changed his mind and have to find another buyer as I am stuck with this car and still have 15 months on my lease.

Steps: Check those leasing companies(Google them and get their website and contact them one by one):

    1. VIP Auto Leasing
    2. Best Buy Leasing
    3. Exec Auto NY
    4. Xclusive Auto Leasing

They always quote $0 down and there is no way you can get the same when you walk into the dealer showroom :)

I'm about to order a 2014 535d. One dealer says the car is satellite radio ready and just needs activation. The other dealer says satellite radio is available only if you get the Performance Package. Which is correct?
  • zoombie99zoombie99 Member Posts: 320
Something doesn't smell right. How could you use MSDs at at leasing com company or use the incentives? Don't leading companies buy the car?

    The data from edmunds:
    Alpine White

  • jasonmdbmwjasonmdbmw Member Posts: 117
Most dealers won't move much off of the '14's right now since they are just hitting lots but depending on your location, you could probably get around $1000 over invoice maybe a little better

Apologize for my ignorance, but what is a MSD? and how does someone get one?
  • jasonmdbmwjasonmdbmw Member Posts: 117
Multiple Security Deposits. Some states, like NY for one, don't allow them. However, you could go to NJ and do it. Tell your Client Advisor you want to do MSD's to lower your rate instead of putting cash down, which you lose at the end of your lease or if car is stolen/totaled. MSD you get back at the end. Hope that helps

I was just offered the following deals on the 2014 528i in SoCal. Any thoughts?

528i, leather, 50975 msrp, dealer agreed to do it at 48000 (including 1k from BMW USA from ultimate driving event)

528i, leather, m turbo, 54125 msrp, will have to order, dealer offered to do it at 51000 (including 1k from driving event).

I was also quoted a .00145 money factor.

Anyone think these are good deals? First time BMW lessee.

You want to get as close to dealers invoice price as possible. I have not looked at your invoice numbers yet. Your best coarse of action is to get several dealerships involved and buy at the end of the month. last 2 days, last day for the lowest possible deal.
Take into consideration all dealerships doc fee charge .

BMW claims there is no holdback on there vehicle which i doubt.

    Hi xcvpat:

I believe you got a good deal. However, I believe that had you put in 7 MSDs, your monthly payment would have dropped significantly. In my experience, the 7 MSDs have given me an approximate 50% return over a 36 month period. I would not be surprised if you got to a monthly payment of about 665 with the 7 MSDs. If you go to the dealership today and ask them to re-do the paperwork in yesterday's date, they are likely to be able to honor your request as they don't lose anything or gain anything from the MSDs - their buy rate gets reduced. I did this for a cousin of mine (re-did paperwork next day).

PS: Of course, if you are in NY, then you cannot put in any MSDs.

Good luck and let us know how you end up. Regardless, the deal you have got is very very good.

    Take care!
  • xcvpatxcvpat Member Posts: 2
Thanks Bluffmate, I considered MSD's to lower my MF .00049 but decided I could do better with my $4,200 invested elsewhere.
  • nyccarguynyccarguy Member Posts: 16,410
They also marked up the lease acquisition fee $200 (BMWFS allows the dealer to do this to make extra profit). BMWFS' standard lease acquisition fee is $725.

You did get $8,780 off of the sticker price which is fantastic!

Look into the MSD thing a little closer if you can. Think of the money saved on your monthly lease payment as a return on investment. Yes, you give them $4200 of your money to hold for 3 years. You could save $X per month.

kyfdx is the master at MSD! What do you think?

nyccarguy: Great catch on the lease acquisition fee and I completely agree with your point of view on the MSDs. It is a guaranteed return of investment which makes it a very popular product among lease enthusiasts.

In my opinion, it is not a good deal since this is a 2013 model and the 2014s are available which is a LCI.

In the 5 series lineup, I recommend also considering 2014 ActiveHybrid5. I am always ONLY into leasing so I think in terms of monthly payments (with zero down). The payment per month on it is same as 2014 528i since there is a $4500 eco credit which drops the payment on the car by $120 with it's current residual of 55%. Gas mileage is similar to a 528i. The power is great - phenomenal actually (I drove a 2013 AH5 for about 2 weeks - exchanged with a friend). The trunk is about 30 percent smaller than other 5 series but it still quite enough IMHO. Plus, the badge looks much classy than any other 5 series badges.

On Nov 12th, my brother in law leased a 2014 AH5 so this is very fresh in my memory. We also ran the numbers for 2014 535i so I know the AH5 made more sense than the 528 or AH5 numbers wise with 100% same options/line/etc. My bro in law got the discounts including loyalty and the turnkey (turnkey only impacts the first month payment and does not lower the overall monthly payment).

    Here are the details:

    2014 AH5
    MSRP: $75675
Monthly payment: $630 plus sales tax
    Cap reduction: $0
    Doc fee: $0
Buy rate MF used and then reduced further by using 7 MSDs
Dealer was is Bay Area of California
If I remember correctly, cap cost was at $9xxx below invoice (this included ALL discounts apart from turnkey which was applied to first month payment).

If it matters, his credit score was about 830 with a very good income to liability ratio.

I am considering a purchase of a brand new 2013 xDrive 535 Gran Turismo. This is one of only a small handful of 2013 Turismos left in my area. MSRP of $65,100. The dealer has a windshield sign of "Sale: $56,888". I haven't talked to the salesperson, yet, but would appreciate any comments on how much more I should and could push to lower the price. I know these GTs do not sell too well in the US and it's a 2013, so I'd hope to have an upper hand in negotiations. I am considering leasing for the first time, too.

    Thanks for any help.

    2013 ActiveHybrid 5 - Lease 36 months 36000 miles 49% residual (yikes);

    MSRP with Options: 67,200
    Sale price: 51000
    Tires+Wheel protection: 1329 (cost)
    Dent protection: 329 (cost)

MF: 0.0079 (about 1.5 APR) with 7 MSDs of $600 each ($4200 MSD total)

Sales/Use Tax: Got BMWFS credit (hence waived)

Zero down, Zero Security (other than 7 MSDs to reduce MF), zip-zero-zilch

Refundable MSDs ($4200) saved about $45/month in payments

Monthly payment: $629 (on Nov last day)

Showed my USAA pricing/cert, but it did not matter anyway .. and infact got better deal ($2000 less in price, plus Sales Tax picked-up/credited by BMWFS)

This may be the last new 2013 ActiveHybrid 5 in Dallas .. Thanks
