so far in the tristate area, got 1k over invoice from a couple of dealers, and a few 2k over invoice.
Anyone else have any luck getting it lower?

Super dog what msrp were u basing it off of, what options did u have? i was told there as 6% profit off of the msrp, is that what u r seeing? im trying to figure out what to do, i want to buy a 3.5xi with msrp about 68k after options...
  • superdogsuperdog Member Posts: 37
I think the msrp was 68+ invoice was 64+ sell price was 65+ ( 1k over invoice) Paul Miller in NJ has really good deals and has been getting a lot of NY business... I have 2 friends who switch from Rallye to them. Bayside BMW told me to go in and they will beat this deal ( I dont like bayside bmw, runs like a honda dealer ) Rallye will likely match this, most of the guys up there are good.. 1k over invoice isn't bad.. not the best deal.. but for a new release i'll be happy paying 1k over.. everyone has to eat.

    Hi kr3pt0n,

Haven't you placed the order yet? I think $1000 over invoice is pretty good for a new model. Could you please share the dealers' info who offered that price?

    Thanks a lot!
  • geocity20geocity20 Member Posts: 13
Who did you speak to at Paul Miller? Just went there and they offered Msrp for the 2014 x5's. They also offered a 2013 X5D for 54500 on an Msrp of 62525. That's with the Eco and drive event. I don't think those are good deals.

Acquisition Fee cant be waived except at the end if you go into another BMW lease
  • kyfdxkyfdx Moderator Posts: 235,200
I think that would be the disposition fee... that is waived at lease end..

You used to be able to waive the acquistion fee, in exchange for a .00035 bump in the money factor... That only worked to your advantage, if the lease was short term and the car was a entry level stripper.. I'm not sure they still offer that...

That's correct. Acq gets paid up front or bump in MF if not. Disposition is at the end.

My Mom is looking at the following vehicle and I want to go to the dealer with an offer:

    2013 BMW X5 X-drive Premium
    Black Saphire/Black Nevada Leather
    Convenience Pkg
    Cold Weather Pkg
    Running Boards
    Satellite Radio
    Destination
    MSRP: $61,730
    Invoice: $56,485

What incentives are out there? My parents don't qualify for loyalty. Does the "build out credit" apply to cars on the lot?

Right off the bat after the test drive, the guy offered to sell the truck to my Mom for $57,000 & he admitted there is still some room left. So if the build out credit applies, I'm thinking $54,485?

Help & advice are welcome. Car is at Wide World BMW in Spring Valley, NY (NYC Suburb).

The build out cash is $2000 and applies to all new, untitled 2013 units.

Base money factor is .00125 and the 36mo/45K residual is 56%.

BMWFS is offering 2.9% financing up to 72 months, if purchasing..

I don't know if you can get Invoice minus the $2000.. but, you might be able to get invoice minus $1000... (doesn't hurt to try, though)..

Thanks kyfdx! I'm going to try to get as close to that $2K under invoice as I can. I'm sure there's only so much they'll be able to give me on the trade due to the car & it's mileage (2011 Porsche Cayenne - 56,000+ miles).

Now what's the deal with the extended maintenance? I know the MSRP on that is $2450. Do you know the invoice for that?

I'm sure my parents will tAke the 2.9 for 60 months. The only reason they'd take 72 months is of it were free money (like my Dad's 2011 Tahoe).

Last time I looked into extended maintenance, the delta was about $500.. A lot of dealers will knock a couple hundred off....

Hi everyone, I'm looking to spend around $50K on an X5. I've found a few Pre-owned Premium trims under 15K miles with heated seats, Nav, Rear cam, satellite radio and convenience package for around $50-52K. They are not certified, but under the original warranty. Is this a good deal?

I also saw a new one with MSRP $60,570, Sales price $55,635 with the same features. Could I get them to go down to around 51K or 52K?

    Thanks for any help!

Hi everyone, in the market for a new X5. Are the savings on the outgoing 2013 models worth taking advantage of vs. premium pricing on the new 2014 models?

Thanks. Can you advise on this config for purchase:
    2013 BMW X5 xDrive35d
    cold weather package
    prem package
    technology package
    third row
    running board
    satellite 1-year
    bmw apps
Dealer is offering at invoice price of $61,565 before the $3500 eco credit and the $1000 Drive event credit which comes out to $57,065 before tax.
Supposedly there is another $1000 rebate if I finance a portion of the car.
    So, I was wondering:
    1) Is this a good deal?
    2) Is there wiggle room to get $1-$2K below invoice since it is an outgoing model?
    3) More qualitative, but is this a deal killer because it doesn't include the sports package?
    Thanks in advance - D.

Hi guys - I am in the market for a 2014 X5 as well, can you please share the invoice price and the dealer information? Thanks..
  • geocity20geocity20 Member Posts: 13
I would negotiate for 1500 under invoice. That was offered to me last week. However my car doesn't have the tech or third row.
  • dante98dante98 Member Posts: 4
    Thanks Geocity!
    What was your config?

Cold, premium, bmw apps and running boards. msrp is 62525.

Well, I was able to get the selling price of a 2013 X5 Premium w/ Convenience Pkg, Cold Weather Pkg, Running Boards, & Satellite Radio with an MSRP of $61,370.00 down to $54,485.

This is $56,485 invoice minus the $2000 "Build Out Credit" incentive. Current BMW drivers qualify for an extra $1000 ($53,485).

Dealer is Wide World BMW in Spring Valley, NY.

Working the trade in value has proven much more difficult than expected. They've only offered $37,500 for my Mom's 2011 V6 Porsche Cayenne with over 56,000 miles on it.

Trade in is where they always get you. But don't forget about the tax shield benefit (tax rate * trade in value) which you need to factor into the analysis.
  • brian125brian125 Member Posts: 5,244
Trade in is low but with tax shield you will be only paying ny tax on about 16k so you will save some there. I would think 39k would be a good price on the 2011 Cayenne. Thats how these dealers get you.

  • nyccarguynyccarguy Member Posts: 16,373
Yeah, it's funny Brian. $39K was the solid number I thought I was going to get from my research. The dealer has to make money somewhere. Used cars are where it's at nowadays. Unless you have a "low mileage creampuff" you aren't getting what you want because they do seem to be "givin" the new ones away.

Look at it this way. Unless someone is looking for that specific SUV who is giving you that kind of money today. You make some of the difference up on the new car side of this deal . You or your mom are going to love this X-5.

    Good luck

Absolutely. I'm not about to list her Cayenne for sale on My parents are buying the X5 for my Mom. $60K luxury SUVs are out of my price range. I've got a 3 series for the next year, then am looking for something more pedestrian when the lease is up.

I've been following your posts on the Accord "prices paid" forum. You have some excellent ideas!

It is a x5 premium with convenience pkg, etc MSRP of 59,995. Good deal ? Invoice us 55,400 so this is with 3k credit & I don't own a bmw.
  • maddy17maddy17 Member Posts: 3
Which dealer? The car I got the quote was 61270 MSRP . The final number dealer gave was 54250 OTD. I am not sure to go for it not or wait for 14's to come out.
  • ny_danny_dan Member Posts: 12
Anyone has any pricing on this yet. I just saw it in a showroom in Brooklyn, NY. they basically are looking to sell at MSRP.

Anyone have a better dealer suggestion?
  • brian125brian125 Member Posts: 5,244
Try Prestige...................a few people have got 800 to 1000 above invoice price on the 2014 models. Brooklyn dealer is a crook. i can never get them to match anyone else's decent offer.

Also I ended up leasing with the negotiated rate of 53500 from the 67095 Msrp. Money factor was 3 percent or .00125 and 54 percent residual 12k miles. Lease payment totaled 519 + 6 percent payment tax for a total of 550 per month with 2500 cap cost reduction which brought 53500 negotiated down to 51000.00. Hope this helps someone.
  • s2kromas2kroma Member Posts: 9
That is a such great deal. Which dealer? I have been looking around and can't find anything less then $740 a month on a lease with 10k miles a year for 36 month and no down payment. I am talking about a base 2013 X5.
  • 911rat911rat Member Posts: 11
Call mike sales manager at Preston bmw in boardman ohio. I flew from chicago when the dealers there wouldn't deal.
