I also had a most incredible experience at the dealership. I mean, it was THE BEST dealership I’ve ever dealt with -- from professional looking and knowledgeable salespeople, to the beautiful building (looked like a Hyatt hotel) to the smooth as silk operation in processing the paperwork -- it was all just incredible.
I'm in the DC area so if any of you are in the hunt for a Nissan product let me know and I’ll be happy to steer you to the guy i dealt with.
Happy hunting!!
However, you may tell us the dealership name, along with the city and state...

kyfdx

I need a truck to tow an 8500# A/S trailer. I wanted a Toyota, but it only handles 7200# and the full size 'might be' out by 2007. It's now between a Ford F-250 and the Titan KC. Many questions :confuse: :
What is the best price for a Titan KC SE 4x4 w/ Big tow, SE Pop w/Capt ?
Does this truck really tow 9000 lbs up & down the hills of Utah w/o burning up?
Is the F250 a better truck for towing this much trailer?
Will the Toyota FTX be a better truck?
Does end of the month buying really mean anything anymore?
Please give me specific numbers. I go to do battle this week.
Thanks,
Rmeer
Ok, for your price question. I'm in the DC area. It's hyper competitive. I don't know about your area. That said, I was easily able to get a price on this truck -- 25950. That was, I believe when rebates for the KC were 2500.

I am looking for a deal like this one.
A 2005 Titan SE or LE Crew Cab with console/leather/5 spoke wheels and a sunroof (optional) what has everyone been paying and from which dealers?
Thanks alot.
Scott-Seattle
Im going for the 2006 titan crew se 4x4 in the northern virginia area. I was wondering what people are paying in the area or any area for that matter. thanks
As for the 06s, you can probably start at invoice and subtract the rebate (don't know what it is right now), shave off some holdback, add in some profit and go from there. I haven't heard of any outrageous deals going on with the 06s and I wouldn't expect to this early in the model year. You'll just have to do your homework and get down in the trenches with your sales person. Good luck.
I am replacing my '97 F-150 in the next few weeks and would like to make an informed decision.

Thanks.

I think you did pretty good. Actually couple hundred better than me. I am looking forward to picking mine up later this week. Good luck.
I waited as long as I could to purchase. I was hoping Nissan would raise the rebates for Nov but as you know they stayed the same. Considering the options I wanted their were only three within 150 miles that were comprable so I gave in. All said and done I paid $28,412 after tax and title minus rebates. Good luck with you purchase. Kevin

Trying to find a goal to shoot for in pricing.
I actually bought mine the last weekend in Oct and told the dealer that if the rebate increased in Nov then I expected it. No luck and since the 05 stock was getting thin I decided to pull the trigger now.
Got the truck yesterday and its all I expected.
Good luck with yours
Dave
After my first weekend with the Titan all I can say is WOW. I am impressed. I have driven PU's for the last 30 years going back to my 3 on the tree Chev C10 250 straight 6. I was initially a bit concerned with the size since I have been driving a mid size but after 300 miles I am over that. Its really not that bad. Initial Gas miledge is 15 which is about what I got with V8 Dakota. It was between Titan, Ford 150 and Tundra. I always second guess after a decision and did it here as well but if initial impressions hold this was a great choice.
Enjoy
Dave
I was hoping if i got a good deal on this?

I guess overall my experience was good because i got my truck with an okay price. I just love it when i kept giving my disapproval look . I talked to them for about 5 hrs and i end saying ill think it overahhah.. They were dumbfounded because they thought i was indeed going to buy the truck right away, when in fact, i was hustling them.
Actually looking back to my receipt for the vehicle i didnt really state how i got to $31,079.68 to be exact.
Ok, here's the extended in-depth hopefully easier to understand breakdown of the total price of my 4x2 06 SE Crew Cab Titan w/ only 5 miles at the time.
Sale sticker said $30,040.00 but they were selling cash price of the vehicle for = 28055.85
Manufacture rebate = $1000.00
So actually the MSRP(without all the fees, all the taxes, and other charges like warranties and plans) was= $27055.85
The total for fees and taxes (but not warranties and other plans that i bought optional) was = $1890.32(sales tax alone was $1690.99)
The total for optional plans, warranties, and the documentation fee was = $2133.51 (I had the 5yr/75k warranty and 2yr/30k maintenance plan)
Total charges,fees,taxes = $4023.83
Amount financed or total MSRP with optionals and fees, etc. is = $31079.68
i got a good deal for the APR(annual percentage rate) at 5.94% The finance charge was $4919.72
After downpayment, the total of payments(amount i will have paid after i have made all payments as scheduled) will be = $35999.40.
Again, here's the accessories i have in detail:
Step-rails were installed for free
wheel locks and bedliner
SE Popular Package includes the following only:
rear sonar system(watch out for the kids behind!)
homelink universal transcevier
auto-dim rear view mirror
steering wheel audio control
extended overhead console with compass and outside temperature display
Floor mats
Here is the standard equipment that is available for crew cab models:
Tow mode switch
18' wheels alloy
dual power heated outside mirrors
rail caps for bedside
mp3/am/fm cd audio system with 8(not 6) speakers and 6disc in dash cd changer
all power controls
remote keyless entry
cruise control
dual 12 volt dc power outlets
electronic brake force distribution
tire pressure monitoring system!!
LATCH system(lower anchors and tethers for Children)
vehicle security and immobilizer system
Rear privacy glass
Power sliding captain's chair
all windows tinted
let me know what you think
High
So in the end it looks like you got $2985 off the MSRP which is about 9.9%.
I recommend that you go to CARMAX site (www.carmax.com)and look at MSRP and No Haggle price on similar model to yours for comparison. I think you will find they are discounting in the range of 13-14% on 06's.
You did OK but could have done better and I have no idea what the warrentee's are valued at.??
D
For the warranty: its 5yr/75k bumber to bumper warranty.
Maintenance plan is 2yr/30k that includes free oil changes, replace incabin filter, fuel filter, free tire rotation/balance, air filters, and free roadside assistance. At 30k, will replace the major service like timing belts, transmission, etc.
I also got the GAP insurance policy, if my car is stolen or destroyed within that 5yrs, itll pay up to 25,000 (without being charged for anything else) to replace a new one.

This aftermarket stuff you've opted for -- there's no way for us to know what a good price is for that in your area. Personally, I'm not a big fan of these warranties -- seems to me that most of that is covered by the factory anyway, up to 3 yrs/36K, no? Gap ins, ok. Did you price all this after-market stuff elsewhere outside of where you bought, or did you check your credit union? If you MUST have these items, you can definitely shop around for them before you buy to see if the dealer is competitive in his prices. These topics are covered elsewhere ad nauseum in the Town Hall; just search around and you'll find them.
But, too, it doesn't really matter what we think, does it? You sound extremely happy with your purchase and that's all that matters.
Overall, i would say i got a good deal but not the best. So, i regret saying i got the best deal or what not...
If we're just comparing msrp, i would say that people who got their 06 at carmax or other places which are cheaper, they are really getting a good deal. For the people who needs the piece of mind of getting opts, than i must say that i would like to see some comparisons PLEASE.
