No. 1 Truck is FORD....period. That information has been put out. You are a Nissan used car salesman trying to sell a poor quality truck and should not even compare the Ford F150 to the limp Nissan Titan.
I read your other comparable forums such a Dodge vs Titan. You where slammed there...
What do you do?
For all the potential buyers out there, buy a FORD, CHEVY, GMC or DODGE pickup. You will not be disappointed. Support America and our freedoms.
America is based on freedoms to buy whatever you like legally. I will buy whatever I deem is the best bang for my hard earned buck be it Domestic of foreign.

He is confident that the full-sized pickup will achieve its annual sales target of 100,000. He is not planning to boost its marketing budget.
"One hundred thousand units per year for the Titan is something that we consider achievable," Ghosn said here last week.
But he declined to say when the Titan would reach its sales goal. "As long as I see the numbers moving into the right direction, I know that ultimately we'll reach 100,000 units per year. We're not in a hurry."
Nissan sold 50,506 Titans in the United States in the first eight months of this year. That is an average monthly rate of 6,313, short of the 8,333 a month needed to reach 100,000 a year, unadjusted for seasonal differences. Titan sales started in December 2003.
Ghosn said he won't spend more marketing money on the truck. "We want growth and profitability - both," he said. "I want to preserve profitability. I want to preserve the brand."
He also has no immediate plans to develop more Titan variants beyond the two versions, an extended cab and a four-door cab. More variations "may be some ideas coming in the future. But for the moment, we need to compete with what we have," he said.
The base 2004 Titan, with an extended cab and rear-wheel drive, has a sticker price of $23,050, including the destination charge.
The Titan got off to a tough start. The pickup, built at the Canton, Miss., plant with other models, fared poorly in the Initial Quality Study by J.D. Power and Associates released in April. The Titan, the redesigned Quest minivan and Armada SUV scored last in their segments.

A yuppie opened the door of his Titan, when suddenly a car came along and hit the door, ripping it off completely. When the police arrived at the scene, the yuppie was complaining bitterly about the damage to his precious Titan.
"Officer, look what they've done to my delicate Titan minivan!" he whined.
"You yuppies are so materialistic, you make me sick!" retorted the officer. "You're so worried about your stupid Titan, you didn't even notice that your left arm was ripped off."
"Oh my gaaawd...," replied the yuppie, finally noticing the bloody left shoulder where his arm once was, "Where's my Titan watch?!!!"
As most any other poster on Edmunds I am proud to be an American. That means I have choices, the Titan or the F-150.
The continual baiting by one member here is quite tiring and I would urge my fellow community members to stop responding to his/her posts.
Maybe we can get back to some useful discussions about the pros and cons of each truck.
Also, anyone who has taken the Ford financing cash: How long do you have to keep the loan before refinancing? Is there any specific language in the finance contract.
I can't imagine the incentives going down October 1st, hopefully they will go up a bit.
I have been following local dealer inventories closely. There are 5 local dealerships that have a combined 20 trucks that would fit my needs. Inventory just doesn't seem to be moving so imagine the deals will have to increase to move the trucks.
Thanks for your cooperation and participation.
BTW...i sell both nissans AND fords. i grew up in detroit, and have been a ford guy all my life. the difference is that i have both products on a day-to-day basis. i get to compare them all the time, and to me, the titan is a superior truck in all measurable ways.
And yes, gas mileage is a concern. It is hard to justify going from 28mpg to 14mpg to my wife or tree hugging parents for that matter.
Would love to have the utility of a truck again!
dude...we have to work on the fortitude of part of your anatomy...lol.

HAHAHAHAHA.
Now we are actually getting some good discussion on this thread.
I work with quite a few people who have family members who work in KC Ford plants. The prices they are negotiating with the A plan seem pretty awesome. I have found I can already beat the X-plan offers with my limited negotiating skills.
I am glad that I am not a car salesmen currently, looks as though the inventory is just not moving.
there is no negotiating on a-plan. it is set by ford...so dont go praising peoples' negotiating skills if they have a-plan...lol.
I have two neighbors with Armadas, and one neighbor with an 04 F-150. I asked them both recently about their experience with their trucks. Here's the real poop.
ARMADA NEIGHBOR #1 - He's a Urologist. Loves his Armada. Has some squeaks & rattles, and had a few minor "things to work out", but nothing major in his mind. Bear in mind, that he traded in a Suburban, so he's not used to perfection - this is a big improvement in his words.
ARMADA NEIGHBOR #2 - He's an electrical contractor. Loves his Armada even more! His was a very early production model, and he has had some defects that needed to be handled, but nothing that has put him off on the truck either. However, he also switched from a Tahoe, so he wasn't used to excellence either.
F-15O NEIGHBOR - He owns an electronics shop. He also has an 04 Dodge Ram, no hemi. Says the Dodge is tinny compared to the Ford, smaller inside, and less substantial, but also cheaper. As for the F-150, he has had -0- defects, and is completely satisfied with it.
My Conclusion? Both the Titan/Armada and F-150 are great versions of the same theme. The Ford is probably put together a little better at the inception. History would comfort me that it will be a good long term truck. OTOH, the Titan/Armada, whichever, is a great design, and really drives well. Maybe even more fun to drive than the Ford. But Infiniti/Nissan isn't known for their consistency in quality - some cars and years are better than others. And the French who own them, well, they're European, where quality is still not completely understood to the Japanese level. Between the two, I would bet on the Ford. But there's no reason to think the Titan won't be a good long term performer yet. We'll just have to wait and see.
now go drive one...a crew cab with DVD entertainment, GPS Navigation, Sunroof, side curtain airbags, utili-track, 6 cd 350 watt audio with subwoofer, heated seats, mirrors, adjustable pedals, back-up sensors, tire pressure monitor, traction control, vehicle stability, it doesn't get any richer than that in trucks.
...and don't take your wallet or your trade.
I also have a Lexus GX which has been praised by the same reviewers that note the Titan plastic. The Lexus does have real wood trim and real leather trim but it has some plastic also...all cars have plastic or a synthetic rubber in the dash.
The Titan dash is easy to clean also. Dust never seems to collect on it. The captain seats are spacious and comfortable. The memory seats and adjustable pedals rock. Haven't had to use the heat button yet but I'm sure it'll be nice this winter.
Dr. across the street with Armada acquired a toy hauler last weekend out of state, and went up to pick it up. Towing it home with his Armada, he was telling me last night, empty, has caused him to believe that he will need to get an Excursion with a Diesel to properly tow this trailer. Again, it was empty, and 35 ft. long. Not a monster.
He said he got 5 MPG towing it with the Endurance V-8, and had to pedal up the hills, and that the Armada wasn't up to the task. FWIW.
sounds to me like the RV salesman told him it would be OK. ask AKANGL about RV salesmen...lol.
the other thing to remember, is that to tow 9000 lbs, you need a class IV weight-distributing hitch. what probably happened is the tongue weight was too high. the weight-distributing hitch helps out with that alot.
the VDC on the armada and titan doesnt allow that or downhill push to happen.
"Maybe the ball height on the Armada was too low such that a lot of the trailer weight was on the hitch rather than its own wheels."
thats alot of the problem too, many times.
This sale is to be Sept 26 - 30th.
Right now I know there are a lot of 04 trucks on the lots in KC.
Imagine only a percentage of buys will qualify for the 0% though.
granted...but what about the other 98% of the car-buying public?
they cant even THINK of getting out until around 5-5 1/2 years, especially with ford and GM products.
people were convinced after 9/11 that the 0% boom would erradicate negative equity, but its become even more of an epidemic since then. 72 month financing is the WAY wrong answer.
If you're like me and keep vehicles for ten years then I agree with you. If, however, you are prone to trade in the third or fourth years and have financed with nothing down, you will likely be upside down with respect to resale value, meaning the resale value will often times be less than what you owe. This effect varies, of course, depending on the vehicle.
Bests,
Dusty
well, invoice prices wont change, and rebates are not scheduled to change either, so your deal is up to you.
"When exactly did they start making these quality changes?"
thats like asking "when will we win the war?"
they are always making changes. there is no set VIN # that determines one build to another.
"What's the earliest date on 04 you should buy to match the quality changes?"
see my last answer.
"Is it true that some dealers are promoting no payments until sometime next year?"
thats a dealer thing. its probably legit, but you still accrue interest in the meantime.
