It's so hard to find anything for this car. Does anyone know where I can find some bolt on upgrades?

I don't think you are going to find very much in catalogs from one single source for this car but I'm sure with some homework you can scrounge a bit here and a bit there. Certainly you should be able to find free-flow air filters, a decent exhaust system, and better handling components and tires. Probably the hardest thing would be to find any serious engine modifications -- I'd bet anyone who's made an early Camry go faster has adapted parts from later cars or done a lot of custom installations.

Anyone know how to convert an 86 T-bird to 5 lug?? Also, I have a 94 mustang that had an engine fire and needs a new front clip, I figured that I would put a body kit on it instead of going back stock. Any opinions on who makes the best fitting aftermarket body kits?? How about the lambo door kits?(Who's is best??)

Are you sure you don't need a new engine too? ;)

Oh, yeah, forgot to mention. My T-bird has a very low milage Jasper rebuilt 5.0 in it '86 block, I was planning to put that in the mustang and put a stroker kit in the '94 5.0 block and put it into the 'Bird.

I have a 67 fastback and i was wondering if they even make any kind of aftermarket engine upgrade to increase horsepower. I can't seem to find anything online. Please tell me if you know anything or know of websites talking about/selling. Thanks.

Oh, the aftermarket for the 289 is enormous!

Here's a book to get you started:

    http://www.themotorbookstore.com/ford-289-302-engine-manual.html

However, if you have a numbers correct '67 Fastback that's in nice condition, this car could be worth $15K-$20K (if it's really nice) and you should think twice about modifying it, as you will seriously decrease its value.

What I'd do in that case is take out the correct engine and store it, and if you put in a more powerful engine, don't cut or weld anything.

If the car is not correct, well then, have at it, it doesn't matter anymore....

You can easily (but not cheaply necessarily) build your 289 up to 350HP no problem and probably still run on regular gas and not need a turbocharger or supercharger at all.

Of course at 350HP you had better be upgrading suspension and brakes as well, and probably strengthening the chassis too a bit.

Also you might google HotRod magazine and do a search for back articles.

I'm thinking about buying a used Lancer Rally.
Is it worth it, and if so what can I do to the engine to hop up the performance?
The car I'm thinking about is a 2005, with a auto trans.

you want to see if bosch makes rotors for your application. they come with a 5 year warranty and run 50-60 a rotor, also go with bosch premium pads either semi metallic (oem)or upgrade to a ceramic pad about 10 dollars more than oem pads. make sure you get your brake fluid changed and go to a dot 4 fluid it will be ok to use it has a higher boiling point which means it can handle more heat from your brakes.

Hey , it was coincidence i saw this post, but make sure you check out the post i just posted about MQVP Parts. make sure you either get the MQVP parts or OEM parts.

theres a lot of hokey pokey going on out there.
i think we the consumers ought to start sounding out about it. we're being ripped off left and right.

    good luck finding those parts

I need to find weather stripping for my rear hatchback and wiper strips for both doors for 1981 Ford Escort SS. Everywhere I looked on line for parts did not even have windows listed much less the strips needed around them. Can anybody give me some ideas on where to look? Thanks. Vicki

Okay - This is probably a lost cause question, but..... Are there any performance mods that I can do to the 3.4 in an 04 Impala? It does all right and it gets fairly good gas mileage, but it only produces 180 hp and 180 ft lbs of torque. I am fairly certain the 3.4 is a punched out version of the 3.1 so maybe there isn't much more that can be done to the motor?
