I'm looking for a 2008 528i with leather (or premium package) and cold weather package (or heated front seats, at least). 10,000 miles/yr and $0 down.

We're also trading in our 2005 525i (same car as above); it has 14,000 miles.

Of the 4 dealers I'm talking to, the best offer is $667/month. Comments?

    Thanks!

i think you can do alot better than $667/mo. I have on order a '08 528xi with premium package, cold weather package, xenon headlights, navi and ipod/usb adapter for 36 mos. 12K per year with no money down for a little less.

I would check the invoice price for the car you want on bimmerfest.com and use that to negotiate a better price. I found when searching myself that 2 dealerships gave me a competitive price right out the barn via email, while another dealership offered $1700 more, but said If I can in they could discuss meeting the other prices.

    Good Luck!

I got a quote to lease an new M5 for $1,219 a month for 2 years with 20k miles a year from Shelly BMW in Buena Park, CA. The drive off is $5,955 plus 1st payment, license, etc. or about $7.6k. I talked with a couple of other local dealers and they are all hesitant to quote me so it seems like a good deal. What are the residual and money factors on a new M5? Is this a good deal?

The invoice prices I've found on the Net are $76.3k but I don't know what the invoice cost is for all the options. Is there some sort of percentage I can use to determine total invoice cost? I want the Comfort Access system, HUD, Multi-Function Seats, Premium sound, and Side Airbags. The sticker cost for these is something like $5.1k.

We are negotiating the value of my trade and knowing their cost structure would help me. Thanks very much!

    Hi BMW Experts!

I am looking at a BMW 528xi lease. The configuration I'm considering has an MSRP of $59,580. What is a fair monthly lease payt. on a 24 or 30 month lease based on the following information?

    NY Resident.
$3000 Cap Cost reduction, SalesTax, Acq. Fee, 1st payt. paid at time of delivery.

    Thanks.
  • x021627x021627 Member Posts: 152
are you planning to pay full MSRP less the 3K cap cost reduction? Hummmm...you should never pay a cap cost reduction since even though you'd have gap insurance in case of an accident, you would lose this money in the event the car was totalled. You want to work to get the selling price, not MSRP to be as little over invoice price as you can.

Hope this helps and good luck. :D

Any info on leasing an M5 ie, residual, money factor for 10k/2 yr or 10k/3 yr?
Also is $500 over invoice a reasonable price? Thanks
  • eights38eights38 Member Posts: 145
glbmw - Congratulations on considering the M5, it is an absolutely amazing car!

    24 Month – Residual 73% of MSRP – .00295 Base Rate
    36 Month – Residual 60% of MSRP – .00295 Base Rate

$500 over invoice seems rather aggressive. If you need any more help, please feel free to email me or reply.

    Thinking about a new 535i...

Residual and money factor for 10,000 miles 2 year or 10,000 miles 3 year?

    Thanks

    gophaster- Great choice!

    24 Month – Residual 73% of MSRP – .00225 Base Rate

    2008 BMW 528i Sedan
    24 Month – Residual 76% of MSRP – .00225 Base Rate
    36 Month – Residual 63% of MSRP – .00225 Base Rate

    MSRP $52,425
    Selling Price $49,100
Monthly Payment $585 (24 Months, 10,000 Miles per Year)
Due at Signing First Month's Payment $585 + Bank Fee $625, $1,230 Sales Tax + $60 Doc Fee

Based on my calculations, it looks like the dealer is discounting the car $3,325. That is a strong deal!

    OK. BMW - 550i with cold weather/sport package/active stering/active cruise/navigation system/power sun shades/ipod usb/logic 7 surrond sound/ total MSRP is 72,500 according to the bmw web site. 10K miles a year Can I lease for 1,100 a month tax inclusive / 24 month lease nothing down?
If I calculate it correctly . If I calculate correcty 60,100 is the selling price for 24 month lease.
Do I do the numbers right?
  • tjosephtjoseph Member Posts: 1
Invoice with Options is $50300, dealer wants $52500

    base MF = 0.00225 but dealer wants 0.00269, residual = 64% for 36mo / 10k
plus security deposit, 1st month payment, acquisition fee, title+registration+taxes

Please let me know if I am getting ripped off with the money factor of 0.00269 when it is currently 0.00225 and how much more above invoice of 50K should I be at.

    Thanks

tjoseph - If you qualify for top tier credit, I believe that you should receive the rates that your credit reflects. Where do you live?

If you need more help, please feel free to email me or reply.
  • eights38eights38 Member Posts: 145
mika01 - These rates are only good until the end of the month. If you need any more help, please feel free to email me or reply.

    2008 BMW 535xi Sedan
    24 Month – Residual 73% of MSRP – .00225 Base Rate
    36 Month – Residual 63% of MSRP – .00225 Base Rate

what do you think of the following 550i lease deal:

    MSRP 68,700
    36 mo, 12k mi
    -7300 down (negative equity trade)
    Residual=$42,000
MF = .00200 (returning customer discount)
    $1178/mo

any feel for the Feb lease numbers?

    James
  • eights38eights38 Member Posts: 145
jamesg - Does your payment include tax? Where do you live? Does the $7,300 down account for only negative equity?

You can hedge your bet by locking-in at the current 550 rates for 60 days. If you need more help, please email me or reply.
  • jamesgjamesg Member Posts: 19
    Thanks for your quick reply.

I realize that I was not entirely clear. I have 7300 neg equity burried into the deal, but my out of door cost is $1300 (first payment + reg fees). I live in NY.

    Thanks for your help.

    2008 535xi - MSRP $59,070

    Lease Pmt - $670

Out of Pocket - 1st month, bank fee, taxes

    10,000/36 months

    Many thanks.
  • eights38eights38 Member Posts: 145
jamesg - So, $1,300 due at signing includes the typical inception fees? The $7,300 of negative equity is factored into your monthly payment of $1,178 and that also includes NY sales tax?

Assuming a $68,700 MSRP, $42,000 residual (61%), 0.00200 money factor (4.8% interest rate), 36 month term, 12,000 miles per year, and 8% sales tax (New York City is 8.375%), I calculate your selling price to be $65,700, a $3,000 discount. That is an aggressive purchase price.

If you need more help, please email me.
  • x021627x021627 Member Posts: 152
hard to tell without money factor and capitalized cost (aka selling price).
  • romsskyromssky Member Posts: 16
If I use MF of .00225 and Residual of 63% the selling price is about $5k off MSRP. Which sounds pretty good, but I am a current BMW customer and might be getting a break on the MF. Does anybody know what the discount for existing customers is?

    Thanks.
  • jamesgjamesg Member Posts: 19
that is the deal on the table for a car on the lot. the car is not exactly configured as i would have set it up, but close enough given the pricing.

do you have a feel for the feb lease numbers? would expect them to head south based on fed interest rate movement, but not sure when.

    thanks again for your help.

I am pretty sure that the returning BMW FS customer discount is/was 0.00045 for January.
    James
  • romsskyromssky Member Posts: 16
Ok, than the sale price is $4k below MSRP is that good?

    Thanks,

    Roman
  • skobolaskobola Member Posts: 207
My understanding was that there was a MF discount in amount of 0.00045 before, which was then canceled and they were giving $1,000 discount in price, but supposedly all that disappeared in January. Can anyone confirm this and set me straight. Also, where would one be able to find all BMW's (lease) discounts, promotions, etc.
  • jamesgjamesg Member Posts: 19
4k below msrp is quite good in my experience.
  • romsskyromssky Member Posts: 16
    I just signed a deal.

    535xi MSRP $59,120
    Resid: 63% for 36m
    MF: .0018 (.00225 - .00045 discount for existing customers)
    Pmt: $671
Out of Pocket: 1st month, Bank Fee, Taxes

It's about $4k off MSRP. Thanks for all the help.

    nice deal. enjoy
  • granoffjgranoffj Member Posts: 3
This is my first time leasing a BMW (and my first time posting here) so I guess I was looking for some advice. The MSRP of the 535xi is 58,225

Dealer is quoting me a price of $500 over THEIR Invoice price which is some prep stuff they say is needed - so a selling price of 54,500. I guess this is what they will sell me the car for. The actual invoice price of the car when I punch it up is $53,570 - so to me this seems like really $930 over invoice. Does this seem like a good price for a 535xi? I locked in the money factor yesterday so I have time to figure this out

Now for leasing, the payment is $790 per month - 24 month 10k lease. NJ taxes are rolled in the lease. The check I come up with day one is about $2750 which includes first month payment, the $625 bank fee, motor vehicle fees, doc fees, some NJ luxury tax and an $800 refundable security deposit?

Does this sound reasonable (.00225 money factor and 73% residual) thanks
  • eights38eights38 Member Posts: 145
granoffj - What dealer are you working with? Also, did you fill out a credit application to lock-in at January's lease rates? Your January lease rates are accurate.

If you need more help, please feel free to email me or reply.

As much as I know, BMW stopped loyalty discounts, however, I see some South Florida dealers advertising "deals" for the existing or past customers, which makes me believe that theyre are still some discounts for some (loyal) customers.

Therefore, where would one be able to find all BMW's (lease) discounts, promotions, etc.
  • car_rmcar_rm Member Posts: 47
An excellent site to go to is bimmerfest.com. In order to use the search funtion, you will need to register. For current ownership loyalty programs, do a search on OLP which currently on the 5 series is a reduction of the MF.

whay are you opting out of the lease already? I saw your earlier posts and was wondering how much you put down on the car, and how many miles you get, to get the $781 payment.

I thought the residual for the 535xi is 60%. What options did you get? Trying to strike a similar deal and want to be armed with the appropriate info. Thanks in advance.
  • romsskyromssky Member Posts: 16
It was 63% for January, not sure if it changed for Feb. The options I got : Premium, Winter, NAV, Comfort A, SAT Radio, Ipod.
  • rdleskrdlesk Member Posts: 2
Hello, I have the following offer:

    - 528i with Sat Radio, NAV not much else.
    - MSRP $47,775
    - Sale price $45,930
    (discount of $1,845;
looks like dealer takes about 4.4% profit over invoice)
    - Lease 3yr at 15k miles /yr
    - Residual is 60%
    - Money Factor .0022
    - $1,155 due at signing (state is NC)
    - Monthly Payment $688
    - I am current BMW 5-series lease customer

Based on other recent posts, this doesn't look like a particularly good offer. It looks like a MF of .0018 for returning customer and a discount of around $2,800 is achievable, with resulting payment of $609?

    Comments? Thanks in advance.

By the way, thanks to all who post here, it has helped me greatly in past negotiations.

    Leased the following today:

    2008 528i

    Premium Package
    Sport Package
    Xenon Headlights

    MSRP - $51,375
Cost - $49,685 (which is $1,500 over invoice + MAC + Desination Charge)
Out the Door Charges -$2,877 (= Security Deposit + First Month's Payment + Title/License Registration + Acquisition Fee)

    Money Factor - .00225
    24 Month Lease
