It looks like this deal is too good to pass on. I'm not thrilled about the sport package but with that package out, it still looks like a darn good deal. Am I missing something? I was going to order a 535i with same as I have now plus nav and sat and the payments were about the same. This deal is throwing in $6K in options for nothing?
Also, would anyone who has the sport package recommend the sealers suggestion I add a dealer tire warranty?
good luck and et us know what you decide.
I got a quote from one Long Island(NY) dealer for a 528xi with premium pckg, cold weather pckg, and navigation with 12k miles for $51,000(invoice). The dealer said the 30 month(not 36) lease had the best lease rates(69% residual and .00230 mf) and provided numbers of $4,000($1900 tax, first payment $664.20, $162 fees, $650 security deposit, and $625 bank fee) out of pocket and $664.20/month payment
Another Long Island dealer gave me the following quote on a 36 month lease. Same car and options for $47,865(invoice) with a residual of 55% and mf of .00230 for a monthly payment of $675/month and $4270 out of pocket.
The 1st dealer never gave me an option for a 30 month lease which has a far better residual of 69% but he was selling me the car for $3135 cheaper. Was the first dealer mistaken with the 30 month term? I don't see anyone saying the were offered a similar term. I'd like to have some information before I approach each dealer. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
I am getting a new company car in Sept. I'm considering a 535i, however.. I drive about 30K miles per year. Does BMW offer a 30K mile per year, 36 mo lease?
I must lease due to company policy.. I have been driving Chevy Tahoes, however they want to switch to something with better mpg.
Chevy, has track and high mileage leases. I doubt BMW does?
If not, is there a way to buy mileage? What are my options?
I can spend up to $50K, and I know that is pushing it for a 535, but I'd rather sacrifice some luxuries and have more power with the 535 over the 528.
Thanks
Dave
Not too bad, considering the base payment on a 535i is probably $800/mo... I doubt you'll find one for $50K, though...

I dont get paid mileage.. my company just pays for the car, payment, repairs.. I just need to keep the monthly payment at a certain level.
I am certain about my mileage, its been about the same for 12 years.
I got a quote today 535i, 36 mo, 30K/yr, $3K drive off
msrp $51K, invoice $47K quoted $845 mo, plus tax = $890
any thoughts?

If your mother doesn't put many miles on her cars, you may find that paying three grand for an extended warranty is not worth it.
You can find out approximately what your vehicle is worth by looking up its Edmunds.com True Market Value in the Used Vehicle Pricing section of this site or by visiting the the following discussion: "Real-World Trade-In Values".

I am looking to lease either a 528i or 535i here in Southern California. I am looking to get Premium, sport, and Nav on it. I have seen different MF and residuals posted at different times. Do they change with the month? if so, does anyone know what are they for June? My current "good guy" ( I know a friend of a friend) offer is; MSRP 52,075 my price 48,295 residual 34,890 24mon 15kmiles/yr tax at 7.75% total payment. $848.30
Thanks!
The rates and residuals are:
535i
24 Month – Residual 66% of MSRP – .00200 Base Rate
36 Month – Residual 55% of MSRP – .00200 Base Rate
528i
24 Month – Residual 67% of MSRP – .00220 Base Rate
36 Month – Residual 55% of MSRP – .00220 Base Rate
Dealers may mark up these rates by as much as .0004. If you are aware that the dealer is doing this, you can negotiate it down. Also with the acquisition fee, they may increase that from $625 to $825. If this is your first BMW lease and not paying the security deposit, there is an additional increase to the money factor. This can be avoided by paying the security deposit. You can also lower the MF by .00007 for each additional security deposit up to 7 deposits.
Additionally, for the 5 series there is an option credit for the premium package available through the end of June. Your numbers are for a 528i?
This is the information that I have to date on the existing car.
- They are holding a security deposit of $749.00 which gets credited back to us less “Excess wear & Tear” and excess miles. The car has been inspected and the “Excess wear & Tear” cost/charge is $100.00 when turned in. The car has 36,303 miles on it which exceeds the 36,000 total allowance. Additional miles at $.20/mile.
- Lease is up 8/6/08
- Buyout on contract states $34,763.40 + sales tax total = $37,805.20
- Cost of extended warranty for 6 years or 100,000 miles is $3,670.31. Current warranty goes to 50,000 miles.
- Total buyout with warranty $41,475.51.
- Mfg rebate program thru July 3rd on this model is $6,900. With this total buy out, including extended warranty fee & sales tax is $33,822.15.
- They will finance this amount no money down at 5.9%; 60 month term is $653.46/month, 48 months $794.17 and 36 months is $1,029.23.
- To release same car for 36 months and 12,000 miles/year is $931.57/month.
What is the anticipated value in 6 years of the 2006 car?
We need to investigate lease cost of new car next.
Can anyone provide the facts and figures on 2009 BMW 535 XI
I am in Southern California (Pasadena) and just leased a 528i and was able to get a deal for basically $1,100 below invoice. Here are the specifics:
Base MSRP: 44,300
Premium: 2, 300
Xenon: 800
iPod: 400
Navigation: 1,900
Destination: 775
MSRP: 50,475
Invoice MSRP: 41,030
Premium: 2,095
Xexon: 730
iPod: 365
Navigation: 1,730
Destination: 775
MSRP 46,725
I was able to get my 528i for $45,631, which is about $1,100 below the invoice cost. Essentially, I told them that I would split the premium package credit with them, which is $2,095, and that I would pay invoice for everything else. I had two different dealerships in the LA area meet that deal. I did a two year lease at 10,000 miles per year.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for all your help.
However, comparing the competition you have to be careful. Lexus looks great because the lease RATE is very very low (interest) but the residuals are horrible. BMW has had higher residuals but much higher interest rates.
24 months for 528xi 10K miles , cold weather, premium , navigation , ipod adaptor , monaco blue with beige dakota leather and dark wood trim.
1. Sale price : 48178
2. Residual : 69%
3. Inceptions : 1st payment + bank fee + motor vehicle = 7149.
4. Taxes : 1345 approx
Monthly payment = $ 685.00
Experts:
PLEASE LET US KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS. Is this a better deal ?
Good luck!
We were hoping to push the dealer a little more for a better monthly payment, seeing that business seems to be slow...any ideas on where to squeeze a little more out of them...I dont think BMW is offering any incentives now
Does anyone have the residuals and money factor for May/June for 528xi?
This would be helpful to doublecheck that we are getting a decent deal
money factor .00171 ( we were told that this is for MSDs)
Residual = 69% ( 10K 24 mths)
Also is it true if I go over the allotted miles, I can call BMWFS and get a courtesy price of $.16 per mile..the dealer said that it's a 1 time and we have to do it before 5 mths of the lease running out..otherwise its $.20 a mile
Your thoughts?
The region your in, has a lot to do with how hungry dealers are.
I saw you are from NJ. Lot's of dealerships to chose from. Lot's of competition. Which dealership did you go to, if you don't mind my asking?
Thanks!
Haven't gotten a lot of response for thsi post, so I am posting again. I am trying to lease a 535i this week, and would love any feedback on the deal below. Thanks again.

Also, I see that you are considering making a $5,000 down payment on this lease. I always advise consumers not to make large down payments when leasing. Those who make them risk losing part or all of them if their vehicle is totaled in an accident or stolen and never recovered. Even though it means that your monthly payment will be higher, you would be better off going with a zero down lease.
Make sure to stop by the "BMW 5-Series Prices Paid and Buying Experience" discussion to get an idea of what sort of selling price to shoot for on a lease of this car.

Did he make too much on the deal? Probably, but he's 5 miles from my home and just off the freeway to work. Going to another dealer means I would have probably lost the free loaner when I took the car into him for service plus I believe in always trying to tie in the sales and service with the same dealer. Found it can get me special consideration on problems during the course of the lease. Everything is a trade-off. Figure I'll also have a little more leverage on the next lease I should go again with BMW.

At any rate, my current lease on 2006 BMW 525i ends on 7/19/08 and I have an important decision to make as to whether to return or buy the car. There are two parts to this.
1. Now here's the dilemma. Throughout my 3 year lease, I have had several problems with the batteries. I think it all started when I accidentally left the headlights on overnight and the car didn't start the next day. I had to call in a guy with jumper cables through BMW roadside assistance to correct this issue. The car worked fine for a few months then the battery died 3-4 months later. This pattern continued on for I would say 4 times until I finally had it and went to the dealership to replace the batteries 3 weeks ago.
I don't want to state the obvious but I am correct in thinking that car battery problems aren't anything mechanical related and won't cause long term problems, correct? One of the reasons why I am hesitant on purchasing the vehicle is due to the fact that I've had so many battery problems in the past and I would assume that new batteries that I reaplaced with won't cause many problems as the old ones did.
2. I normally use the automatic headlamp control position for my headlights (by turning the light switch to the left) but last night, I stupidly left the lights on at this position overnight. I wasn't aware that I had done this since the lights weren't on when I went down to the car but I found out that I made a mistake of leaving the lights on at this position over when I got inside the car. My question is, does leaving the lights at this position overnight drain the batteries? I thought that automatic headlamp control allowed the car to adjust to its surroundings and shut the lights off when the engine is turned off. Now, this problem is not the same as the time that I left the lights on overnight as stated above since I was not using the automatic headlamp control the first time I killed the batteries and could actually see that the lights were on the next day.
I have had so many problems with the batteries and had experiences where I could not start the car in the middle of nowhere that I am at the pt of being paranoid if I find out that I could have drained/killed the batteries in any shape or form. I would glad to hear any responses/reassuarances. Thanks for the help guys.
