It isn't included! Thank you so much!! This will bring my payment down a great deal. You're a godsend! :) :shades:

I dont think thats right for a doc. Fee i just leased a g37 for $350 0 out pocket. I highly suggest not putting $2500 out of pocket especially now that the new infiniti is coming out. You should go first month or maybe $1000 IF they give you a really hard time.

I have a deal sitting in front of me for a 2013 G37x Sedan, $0 down except for first month's payment. This also includes IFS buying out 3 months of my lease and the dealer cutting me a check for $1300 for the other 4 months since I have seven months remaining. Ya or nay on this deal?

    MSRP $46,160
    Selling Price $40,932
    Net Cap Cost $41,032
    24 Month
    10,000 Miles Per Year
    MF = 0.00031
    Residual 70%
    Monthly Payment: $398 (tax inclusive)

I think I included everything you guys need to evaluate the deal, if I missed something let me know.

I have countered with asking them to lower it to $383.

Thanks for the help on this forum everyone. This was the deal that I agreed upon to secure this lease. I was able to get the car discounted by almost $7,500. I wasn't happy with the DOC fee, but I think I made up for it on other parts of the deal.

Bottom line for me was that I was able to get this vehicle for 24 payments totaling $7,453.20 (inclusive of tax) and upfront cost of $2,500, totaling my out of pocket cost to $9,953.20.

I probably would of done a little better if I settled for just a premium package G37, but for the difference in price, I thought this was a better deal.

    G37S Journey RWD
Nav, Sport, Premium, Tech, Interior Pkgs & Trunk Mat/Illuminated Sill Plates
    MSRP $47,165
    Selling Price $39,726.78
    24 month / 12k per year
    Residual 68%
MF 0.00001 (Reduced MF with placing a one month security deposit)

First payment of $292.97 plus tax, Doc Fee of $899, Cash down of $1,500. Total due at signing of $2,500 and 23 payments of $292.97 + tax per month.

Hope this post can allow others to get more out of their deals. I'm sure it's possible. Thanks again!

I just don't understand why at essentially a 0% interest rate you would pay any money out of pocket. Roll everything including the first month's payment into the deal.

I am going to take a wild stab and say you are in Florida with that outrageous doc fee?

I know I want either a G37xS sedan or coupe and am pretty sure the most economical way going about it is to lease the car. Unfortunately I have no idea where to begin even when walking into a dealer, its something that I have never done. I would love to get an idea of where to start price wise and how to go about working out a deal.
  • wonderwarthogwonderwarthog Member Posts: 50
Prices change all the time, but the end of this month is a great time. As suggested in an earlier post, try for about invoice plus $200 and then deduct another $2,500 in dealer cash. A simpler way to do it is to just look for 7K+ off MSRP. Most dealers will squawk, but stick with it, and you'll find one who will do a deal. This price amounts to a loss for the dealer, but it gets them more cars in July and August, pretty important with the Q50 breaking out next month. After a year or so, I finally settled on a 24 month, 12K lease of a sedan with premium, nav, and sport packages, plus the other junk they usually include. MSRP was $44,975, selling price $37,850. That was about $200 above my target number. $1500 drive off including first month, license, acquisition fee, and some silly taxes. 343/mo. including really high sales tax! The key is patience and having all your numbers handy. I could probably have dickered this deal down some more, but I'm tired.

Thank you for your input I think I'm going to stop by a dealer tomorrow. Unfortunately I leave on the 30th of June for vacation so don't know if I will have time to actually close a deal by the end of this month, hope that doesn't hurt my deal too much.

    Hi
I have just over 3 months left on my current G37 convertible lease.

I have been leasing infinitis for 9 years and therefore have top rating with the dealership/IFS

I am considering leasing another convertible but cant seem to see any details on here regarding the convertible model.

I am looking at a 24 month lease this time and would like to get the MF and residual numbers .

Also i see a lot of people on here achieving 7k under msrp on coupes are people getting similar on convertibles?

    thanks

Best quote I got so far in So Cal at 9% sales tax:

Also includes Trunk Mat and Kick Plates

    MSRP: $45,725 (incl. $300 ICAP)
    Invoice: $42,000
    Sale Price: $39,055
    IFS Rebate cap reduction: ($1,000)
    Net Cap Cost: $38,755
    Money Factor: 0.00046
    Residual: 57%
Bank fee: $700 (in cap cost)
    Doc fee: $45
    TTL: $380
    CA Tire: $8.75

    $421.87/month $949.67 Drive off

The math checks out, though I may want to add items to my cap cost.

The selling price seems pretty good at $445 below invoice before their $2500 dealer cash is factored in.

    Any room to go lower?

Also, what are the max number of deposits to lower the MF and is it still 0.0001 per monthly payment deposit?

    Thanks.

How does the multiple security deposit thing work when leasing?

I'm looking at doing a 24/mo 10k mile/year lease with a MF of .00032 - I'd like to put down two to three security deposits to lower it - how much does it reduce per security deposit?

Each deposit lowers the MF by .0001

So, if the base MF is .00032, then 3 MSDs would lower the MF to .00002

Is it common that most dealerships do not know about this?

I asked about it one over the phone and they said "Infiniti doesn't do that anymore."

Also, do they round up the price (so if the monthly payment with the MSDs would be 279, is the MSD 300)?

Is it common that most dealerships do not know about this?

Considering that Infiniti leases a lot of it's cars.. I wouldn't think so...

On my Infiniti lease, they figured the security deposit on the pre-discounted amount, which is then rounded up....

So, even though my payment is $378.xx, each MSD was $450 ...

I did 9 MSDs ($4050), which dropped my MF from .00091 to .00001... Saved me a little over $60/mo...

They keep my $4050 for 36 months, then give it back... and, I save $2100+ over that same time period. Seemed like a good deal to me..

    Deal done.

Big thing to note is that this deal included a seven month buy out at $325/month as the current lease was not eligible for the pull ahead because of it being 18 months.

    2013 G37xS – Sedan (Prem/Nav/Sport/Bright Finish Wheels/Splash Guards/Illuminated Kick Plates/Trunk Mat/Rear Deck Lid Spoiler & Black Grille)

    MSRP $48,755
    Invoice $44,780
    Sale Price $43,635
    IFS Rebate Cap Reduction ($1,000)
    Money Factor 0.00031
    Residual 70%
    Registration $67.75
    Sales Tax $1373.72
    Acquisition Fee $700
    Doc Fee $499

    $425/month

Cash due at signing was $1525 + 1st month

Purchased from Infiniti of Tysons Corner in Vienna, VA. Stock at all the dealers in the NoVA area is pretty low. This dealer had less than 10 G37x sedans.

That's a really good deal.. $1200 coming back from MSDs at the end of the lease, puts your true monthly price under $340/mo.+ tax on a short lease....

Not bad for a $46K MSRP car... :)

7500 off MSRP - not bad at all. If I am doing the math right, going with 10k miles a year would have upped the residual to 70% making your payment $290 + tax...an excellent deal.

I have a similar deal lined up, just can't decide if I am ready to make a switch...current car is paid off and only 2 years old. I can also take advantage of a trade-in tax credit even though its a lease, since apparently that is possible in Washington State.

You're welcome woodsdrums. No one is going to be putting their kids through college with your deal, but they aren't losing money either.

The $1,000 loyalty cash offer is paid for entirely by Infiniti, just like the $2,500 cash incentive is. So, if you are eligible for the loyalty the total cash incentive would be $3,500.

Hi lildevilet. Infiniti Financial Services' June buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24-month lease of a 2013 G37 Sedan Journey with 10,000 miles per year are .00016 and 69% for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

When negotiating your deal on this car, make sure to take advantage of the $2,500 cash incentive that is currently available on leases of it. There's another grand on top of that for loyal customers.

Hi sdwranglers. The payment that you came up with is spot on using the MSRP, capitalized cost, money factor and residual value that you posted. The dealer must be adding something else in there if their payment is different than that. Ask them to walk you through how they came up with your payment. Chances are, there's all sorts of fees added into the cap cost that you're not putting in there, like the acquisition fee, perhaps doc fee, etc...

I just received the following on the G37 Sedan with: Premium, Nav, and Sport packages, illuminated kick plates, and a couple other things. 2 year lease, 24K miles in South Florida.

    MSRP: $45,385
    Loyalty: $1,000
Total Out of Pocket: $950 (including first month)
    Total cap cost: 39,039
Monthly Payment: $375 (including 6% tax).

I feel I should have got it closer to $350, but was o.k. with it.

    Car_man,

I think I am going to miss out on June's deals so wondering if you have an idea what July is looking like for the coupe and sedan. Still prefer the 24mo lease with 12k mi. Just mainly interested in if the sedan or coupe residuals or MF changed or if they increased the incentives. Thanks in advance!
  • jkipsterjkipster Member Posts: 270
Yes, about $292 on a 10K lease. It helped that the car was built 11/12 before Infiniti raised their prices. Current MSRP on my car would be $46,025.

But with just a 2 year old car, maybe you can wait a little for the Q50 once they start getting discounted. I saw it in the showroom and it's pretty sweet.

Interestingly, my salesman told me that they will continue to build the G37 through the 2014 model year. I guess they want to wean customers off that model name gradually...

I agree that $350 should have been available. A week ago, I got pretty much the same car for $343 (including 8.25% tax) and $1,500 drive off. The total cap was about $1,300 lower. They were having a special and throwing in the nav for free. I think I could have squeezed out a few more dollars, but I was really tired of car shopping (over a year of it) and took the number they offered.

2013 g37 sport (sedan)(Premium Package, Sport Package, Navigation Package, Illuminated Kick Plates)
    Price $45500
    24 month 10k miles
$332 per month ( includes tax and scheduled maintenance)
    Bank fee $1500
    dealer fee $895
Total due at signing $3445 (includes first month)

What do you guys think of the deal? I know $1000 loyalty and $2500 dealer cash needs to be applied, would this bring my total due at signing to 0 or is it applied to the payments? are the bank fees and dealer fees correct for west palm?

Any info would be helpful, Thanks ;)

The acquisition (bank) fee is not correct, that is $700. You could have figured that out yourself by going to the Infiniti web site and looking at the lease deals. There is no such thing as a correct dealer fee unless you are buying in California which limits them to $75. Every dealer can set their own dealer fee, which is almost pure profit. Florida has the highest dealer fees in the country.

You need to ask the dealer yourself if the $3500 has been applied, we have no idea if they have done so. The price you gave us is the MSRP, I am sure that is not the real selling price. Don't put anything down, as in zero. At most put down the first month's payment.

The current rates as I was told on a G37 Journy Prem w/Nav

    36 months and 15K miles
    MF 0.00033
    Res. 55%

Residual on an Identical Lease @ 12K miles would be 57%

They are also still offering $1000 in loyalty and $2500 in Lease Cash Incentive.

Based on these numbers and the need for dealers to move G there are going to be some good deals out there, but unfortunately the dealers in my area are not being very aggressive. The offers I'm getting are higher than what I was offered over two years ago when there were less incentives and MF was 0.00189. It's crazy and I just dont understand what is going on. If anyone knows of some agressive dealerships in let me know.

I wanted to share the information on the deal I got on my G37 Journey Coupe on June 29, 2013 and see what you think. It has the following options:

    Premium Package
    Navigation Package
    Performance Tire & Wheel Package
    Interior Accents Package
    Illuminated Kick Plates
Trunk Mat, Net, & First Aid Kit

    Here's the deal:

    MSRP: $48,195
    Agreed upon value: $42409.71
    Acquisition Fee: $700
    Doc Fees: $80
    Gross Capitalized Cost: $43189.71
    Capitalized Cost Reduction: $1017.49
    Adjusted Capitalized Cost: $42172.22
    Residual Value: $27953.10
    Depreciation Amounts: $14219.12
    Rent Charge: 2272.12
    Rebate/Incentive: $1000
    Due at Signing: $1000
    Registration Fees: $370
    Tax on Cap Reduction: $77.25
    Electronic DMV Filing Fee: $29
    Total Monthly Payments: $16491.24
    Number of Months: 36
    Mileage Allowance: 12000
    Monthly Payment: $458.37
    Monthly Sales Tax: $34.36 7.5%
    Monthly Payment Total: $492.45

They also forgave the last month's payment ($497) on my old 2010 G37 Journey Coupe that I returned to them, did not charge me the $395 end of lease disposition fee, and forgave $500 worth of wear and tear. I believe I got a pretty good deal, but I'd be interested in any comments you may have on this deal....
  • wonderwarthogwonderwarthog Member Posts: 50
This deal doesn't look that great to me. You had to pay tax on a cap reduction? Why do a cap reduction at all? Most important, that rent charge should be about $22. Someone else can correct my lousy math, but I suspect they stuck a couple of zeroes on the end. What's your money factor? I would ask them to, at least, reduce the cap cost by the $1,000 they are charging you for cap reduction. Good luck! (Oops, I just read your "the deal I got". Guess it's a done deal.
  • kyfdxkyfdx Moderator Posts: 237,046
Looks like your money factor is about .0009

I don't know the actual numbers, but if that is the base rate, it looks like a pretty good deal...

    For clarification....

I think the lease rebate has to go towards a CAP cost reduction... and, you either pay tax on money upfront, or in the monthly payment (in California and most other states), so the tax thing is a wash...

$500/mo. with $1000 due at signing for a $48K MSRP car looks pretty good... especially for a coupe, which doesn't have as strong a lease program as the sedan...

Looks like you got out of your other lease with no damage, as well..

Just an FYI, the "they" is IFS not your dealer being altruistic. Currently IFS is waiving the last three months of a lease, and they always waive the $395 disposition fee and $500 wear & tear or excess mileage charges if you re-up with another lease.

I am considering the purchase in California of a 2013 G37 Coupe with Premium Package, Navigational Package, Interior Accent, Rear spoiler, Midnight black grille, Performance Tire and wheel pkg, and Graphite Leather Seat Trim. I was comparing this against the BMW 3 series. The retail is $48,515 and I was able to get a purchase price of approx $41,700 via 3 dealerships. The purchase price is not the issue as I can buy it in full without a loan if necessary. The issue is that I don't think I'll want it for more than 3-4 years. Anyway, the lease pricing so far seems unsatisfactory to me. I received from one dealer :

    A) MSRP $48,405
    Your Price: $41,775

24 Months/12,000 miles per year; 67% Residual/0.00017 MF $905 due at signing. $470/month including tax
36 months/12,000 miles per year; 58% Residual/0.00068 MF $924 due at signing. $488/month including tax.

    B) Dealer 2 gave me the following to plug into at Edmunds without specifying anything about tax:

    MSRP : $48405
    Invoice : $44740

    Sale Price: $42500
    Title, Reg $385
    Doc Fee $80
    Acquisition fee $700

All at 12,000 miles a year oer your request
    24 mo .00017 Money Factor 34431 Residual
    36 mo .00068 Money Factor 28074 Residual
39 mo .00074 Money Factor 27590 Residual (the best senerio)

    1) Are either of these two good deals good considering my credit rating is Excellent (above 800 I believe)? I feel based on other scenarios I've read around the internet I should be putting about $399 including tax and maybe 1000 down. Am I being unreasonable or is this upper 400 range they are giving me reasonable. I just don't feel they are considering the purchase price, but I admit I'm a little weaker regarding lease calculations. I'm still waiting for a 3rd dealership to respond.

    2) I understand the depreciation over 3 years, but would it not be better to still buy outright if I can and then trade in 3 years since I'll save on the interest knowing if for some reason I decide to hold onto it longer, its within my power?

Any advice would be appreciated. I want to know if I'm being unrealistic.

    Thanks!

Do you think you can sell that $42K car for $28K at the end of 36 months? Seems doubtful to me...

Also, not sure how you are going to save on interest? If you buy the car, don't you have to pay interest on the loan? (or opportunity cost on your cash, if that's how you are paying).

Thanks for the response. If I pay in cash, I wouldn't have a loan. I would be paying the total all at once. Not being a finance major, I'm not sure how one would calculate an opportunity cost with my scenarios. As far as the sale at 28K, I have no idea lol, which is why I normally trade in my car and use KBB or sites like this as leverage for what I should get for trade in. I just know since I already own a G35 from 2003 that as much as I like the new G37, I def wouldn't want it for more than 3-4 years which is why I dont think I should purchase in full.

I guess my question is a more general one. Based on the sale price in the low 40s with a 36mo lease, what range would one expect to be a good deal for the monthly payment? Since I posted this I believe the best deal I have received is 36 months, $983 drive off (down) and monthly $457 or zero down and 486/mo which is basically the same thing ($60 difference after 3 years). I believe both include tax which here in CA is ridiculously high. What is the lowest I should expect to pay for this type of scenario or am I already at the low end of things and this is already a good rate which would mean my $399 per month including tax I was hoping for based on some other forum posts would be unrealistic. You thoughts?
