    HI Car man,

Thanks for all your help in this forum. Did you post the residual and interest rates for the 2013 jeep grand cherokee laredo x on this forum yet? If not, I'd like to request info on 12,000 mi/yr lease.....
  • dociousdocious Member Posts: 8
I read a couple of articles that the 2014's will be coming out in the Spring.

With that, should I wait until the 2014's roll out to lease a 2013 GC Laredo E 4x2?

I'm thinking the deals may be better than they are now as they are trying to get rid of the standing 2013 inventory.
  • drdrakeramoredrdrakeramore Member Posts: 49
At the least, the lease factor seems to be up, to 1.65%. Do you have a revised residual for a 4x4 Limited with 12K in Colorado, Car_Man?

    Thanks as always...
  • drdrakeramoredrdrakeramore Member Posts: 49
Spoke to a dealer today, he says residuals are the same in Feb for a 2013 Limited. That is:
    * 54% for 15K
    * 56% for 12K
    * 57% for 10K

Car guy, can you tell me :

4X2 Overland; Money Factor/ Resi please with 12K miles?

    Thanks!

Hi Car_Man - can you confirm what the residuals are for February in Colorado for a 2013 GC Limited with 12K miles? I'm getting all sorts of wild variations on a theme for my simple request.

    I second this request!

It appears that residuals have dropped from Ally - I'm seeing 54% (12K), 55% (10K) and 52% (15K) now for 2013 GC Limited for 36 months. Too bad.

I am considering leasing a 2013 SRT8 Grand Cherokee and wonder what terms are available on 3 and 4 year with 12k miles. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just go this deal done on a 2013 JGC Limited 4X4. Its the base car just the way it comes but it basically comes with everything (Pano roof, Leather, Navigation, Back-up Camera, Parking senors, Heated front and Rear Seats and most importantly Xenon Lights! The MSRP was $40,590 and I got the selling down to $37,125 plus the $6,000 in rebates ($4,000 IDL Cash, $1,000 Lease Cash, $1,000 Conquest). Hann was the bank offering the best programs for Febraury with a .00130 month factor and 49% residual. Leased for 39 months and 12,000 miles per year - $354.42 and $2,815.61 due at signing which was just fees and taxes! See the breakdown of the lease below...

insidecarbuy - that seems like a great deal. I've been looking at the 2013 JGC Overland myself. But while researching, I saw the 2014's coming out and I might wait for them. They are supposed to be showing up in the next couple of weeks here in Mass.

Where would I find the best insight on whether or not they will be offering leasing incentives on them?

Insidecarbuy - what dealer was this at? That's a great price...also, what is the IDL cash? I'm a returning lessee, and would love to get a deal like this!

These are so new I can't find residual or rate anywhere, anyone have any ideas about leasing a 2014 in March of 2013 as far as it being a good thing or a bad thing? It is a good 5-6 months before most new vehicles come out. Here is what I am looking at:

    http://www.teamwelshjeepchrysler.com/new/Jeep/2014-Jeep-Grand+Cherokee-194b97570- a0a0064019ff3590216b96e.htm

Being they are so new I can't even find an invoice. I will offer $41k, never know.

    Dave5454,

Invoice pricing can be found here on the first page and residuals for Feb 2013 are on page 256 but for 36 mo lease 15k miles (limited) are 54% and 1.45%

From a pricing standpoint I ordered a 14' overland and was able to get 3% below invoice. Good luck!

Looking for residual and rates on a 2014 grand cherokee limited in nyc area. 36 month, 10k miles per year.

also, same info on 2013 car.

what rebates/incentives exist for each model year.

    thanks!
  • dave5454dave5454 Member Posts: 2
I got a quote from Team Welsh Jeep in Far Hills, NJ on a '14 Limited 8cyl residual at 54% and .00004 money factor. That works out to 0.9% on a lease. I will most likely be doing my business with them as they are more of a mom and pop dealership. They have gotten some pretty good reviews.
  • cliffpozcliffpoz Member Posts: 71
    Any rebates on 2014's
  • cliffpozcliffpoz Member Posts: 71
2014 limited - msrp = 40580, selling price 1% below invoice = 38,590, residual 57%, mf = .00004. Additional $1000 rebate. 36 month, 10k miles. Dealer was coming up with $480/month including nyc taxes. only fees otd = $480 upfront for first month. I am calculating $430/month?
A couple of charges that looked high - plates: 300, doc fee 147, lease fee 795 ( i assume that is bank fee).
which monthly payment looks right - dealers or mine
can you negotiate the doc fees and plates?
  • KeerockKeerock Member Posts: 25
You can negotiate anything. I think those are pretty typical fees for a lease. It's better not to roll them in IMO and pay interest on them which is probably part of the monthly price difference. May be you just aim to get the price lower and pay the fees upfront.

Looking at a JGC Limited.. Does anyone know Residual and Lease Rate for both the 2013 and 2014? 10 or 12K Miles per year.

    Thanks!
  • cliffpozcliffpoz Member Posts: 71
tried to e-mail you, but no reply. Did you finalize your deal? If not, please reply to my e-mail.
  • cliffpozcliffpoz Member Posts: 71
    msrp = 41975
    residual .57
    mf = .00004
    bank fee = 795
selling price = 38000 (includes $2k of rebates)
36 months, 10k miles per year.

if i am only willing to pay first month plus tags, doc fee (approx $400), what should my monthly payment be including nyc tax of 8.875%.

Hi drdrakeramore. Ally's current base lease rate and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD with 12,000 miles per year are 0.75% and 52%.

Chrysler is currently providing a $1,000 cash incentive on leases of this truck.

Hi lawrenzo1. Ally's current base lease rate and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 with 12,000 miles per year are 3.62% and 46%.

The numbers for an otherwise identical 39-month lease are 3.62% and 44%.

I don't think that Chrysler is currently providing support on 4-year leases of this truck.

There is a $500 cash incentive on leases of it that you need to make sure to take into account during your negotiations.

The doc fee isn't too bad and the plates probably are what they are, but...the dealer appears to be marking up Ally's base $595 acquisition fee by $200. I would try to get them to eliminate that markup.

    Hi Car_man,

can you post the current money factor and residuals for US Bank and Chase for a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4x4? I have the rates for Ally but i'd like to compare without going back to the dealer.

    Hi Car_man,

I am looking for the latest money factor and residual for:

    2014 JGC Overland (V6)
    2014 JGC Overland (EcoDiesel)

The lease will be 36 months and the miles are 12000/year.

    Thanks!

Something doesn't sound right to me about this deal. sticker is 39,010 and he says im getting 1,100 under invoice

    Money Factor-.00130
    Residual-50%
    Buy out-$19,505
You are buying the Jeep after rebates at $30,966 after rebates plus tax and tags which are included into the payment.

And my payments would be with $2,000 down at 39 months for 12k miles a year it will be 359 a month all fees already rolled into the payment. Anybody with some help? I think the 50% residual should be higher but even with that calculation the payment should be lower.

I plugged this into my lease calc based on what you have provided and before tax payment of $325 - and about $350 with tax in my state NJ (it would be a bit higher as NJ taxes rebates too and I am not sure of that total in your state) Look up the invoice on TMV to be sure; FWIW it looks to be a fair deal on the surface.

    MRSP $39,010.00
    Residual% 0.5
    Residual Value $19,505.00
Sales Pice $28,966.00 (2K less your sales price)
    Depreciation $9,461
    Months 36
    Monthly depreciation $262.81
    Moneyfactor 0.00130 aka 3.12%
    mfpay $63.01
    Lease $325.82
    NJ Tax Rate 0.07
    Tax $22.81
    lease with tax $348.63

I am considering leasing a GC, might wait for a 14' but I'm sure the deals won't be as good as a 13'?

I was able to pick up a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee v8 HEMI over the weekend. Went into dealer looking for v6 lease deal and ended up with the v8 engine. Here is what I can tell you about the deal.

2014 GCJ Overland with v8 Engine, Tech Package, and upgraded Braking system.
    msrp - $51000
    sale - $48030
    term - 39 mo
    mileage - 12k
    Money down - $900.00
    Conquest Bonus - $1000
    payment - $645.00

Note - Lease is through Ally Finance. Not sure of the exact Money factor but was told that Ally rated me at A Tier credit. Dealer also paid off (dealer buyout) my existing Auto loan.

    Hello all.

    I picked up a 2014 Grand Cherokee Limited, V6. 20" wheels.
41,870 msrp. I put 2k down total including tax, dmv, 1st payment.

Monthly payments are 423/month. 10k lease.

    Ed at Atlantic Jeep.

    Good deal?
  • calli74calli74 Member Posts: 5
    @ Stang678,

That's the exact MSRP of the Jeep I was looking at. Curious what the difference would be if I went 12k miles per year. Did they happen to show you the different options by chance? Also - what is the cost per mile over your allotted mileage?

    Thank you

What was your final negotiated price?

Are there any issues like return fees or high excess per mile costs?

What state (if New York/CA great deal, if a lower tax state not so much)?

    How many months?

Your total cost at pickup was $2k, that's pretty good but it depends on how much off MSRP you negotiated. I can't extrapolate your rates and residuals but it seems for 2014 that seems good.
  • stang678stang678 Member Posts: 5
    39k negotiated down to.
8.625 sales tax rate - NY
    12k would've been 10$ more per month but I won't be close to 10k

    Through ally bank.

I just got off the phone with a dealer here in Mass. The MSRP on the 2014 Limited V6 w/20" wheels is $41,675. He is willing to sell me the Jeep for $38,999.

He priced out a (first payment) $0 down lease, 39 month, 12k per year. $504 with all taxes & fees included in the lease. Sales tax in MA is 6.25%

Is this a good deal? I also just got a thing in the mail from Jeep which is $500 Jeep cash - he said he could use that as a rebate and the payment will go down some.
  • lulu1234lulu1234 Member Posts: 1
This sounds like a good deal. I am looking at the same car and my deal is a little better but I have a leased car to turn in and I am paying fees up front. Are all your fees being rolled in?

    What dealership is this?

I made a lease deal on a 2013 Overland originally priced at $49,650. The price was reduced to approximately $43,162. I've yet to sign the papers. For a 36 month lease at 10K a year with approximately $4,000 to $5,000 down (I'm returning a jeep before the financing is up, and they are paying the 12K remaining to the finance company and giving me $4,000 or $5,000 additional toward the lease). They quote the lease price at $465/month. Is this a good price? I thought it was when I left, but I'm no longer certain. Thanks very much for any advice you can offer.

I'm assuming that the deal on the vehicle I'm returning is a good one. It's a 2007 Limited with HEMI, fully loaded, originally just under $44,000. The interior is in perfect condition, like new. The exterior needs paint on the corner of one bumper to cover scratches, no body work. The tires need to be replaced. The car has just about 44,000 miles. Any advice is very welcomed. Thanks!
  • calli74calli74 Member Posts: 5
Actually, that quote didn't include the 20's. I'm waiting to hear back from Kelly Jeep. The dealer that quoted me this is Lawless in Woburn. Everything is rolled in to my monthly payment. I only sign and give them 1st payment up front.

    Hi everyone,

New to the forum and very slow :-) I've went over the specs for the Laredo and Laredo E and I can't find any difference between the models except for the fact the the Laredo E allows for a number of options to be added to it. Am I missing something here or are the pretty much the same model.

Also, with that said I am no going to please lease ignorance and ask someone to calculate me a 3 year 10k mile lease on a 2014 stock Laredo, No Money Down.

Thanks in advance everyone, I'm hope you can help me out.

    Hi Tracy0130,

    A few questions for you.
    - What is the buy rate MF for the lease? Is the dealer offering you the buy rate?
    - What is the RV for the lease?
    - Are any incentives such as loyalty cash included in the negotiated sales price of 43,162?

Knowing the above will help evaluate your deal.

    Cheers!
  • dewarsandsodadewarsandsoda Member Posts: 207
    Hi Greenwell39,
A lease is not very daunting as its only based on three variables: Negotiated sales price; Residual Value (RV); and Money Factor (MF).

RV is a fixed percentage set by the bank (e.g., Ally) that's doing the lease. There is a base rate MF that is suggested by the bank as well but dealers have the latitude to mark it up as another source of profit. Both RV and MF are based on your model, lease term, and mileage per year. Ask Carman on this forum to give you the RV and MF for your 3 year/10K lease on the Laredo.

With the above numbers in hand, the calculations would be as follows,
Monthly Depreciation = (Cap Cost - (RV*MSRP))/Lease Term
Monthly Interest Charges = (Cap Cost + RV*MSRP)*MF
Monthly Lease (pre tax) = Monthly Depreciation + Monthly Interest Charges
*N.B.: Cap Cost assumes Negotiated Sales Price + Acquisition fee only (i.e., no cap cost reduction or $0 down)

    Cheers!
  • KeerockKeerock Member Posts: 25
I think it might help to note that many leases include the sales tax (price paid x tax rate spread over monthly term) and may include fees and other add-ons rolled into the payments AFTER your negotiated selling price. Sometimes people don't check the numbers to make sure that the actual monthly all adds up. I've been surprised in some negotiations to find numbers in the monthly that we're not part of price/rate/residual.
