Boltsfan, what do you think? Read the other post in this thread. You don't want to pay anything per month that starts with a 5. You should be paying in the 400s for this car. $2100 is too high. It should be more like $1500. For the car you want at those lease terms, you should be in the $470s. You are about $100 too high on a 39 month lease. Are you in NJ?

I am in Southern California and sales taxt just went up 1% on April 1st. People are getting good deals all over but it does matter where you live. I have seen some good deals on here but most everyone pays the driveoffs and I am rolling everything in minus the $500 for the 1st payment.

This is the current offer from another dealer.

MB will waive last 5 lease payments and disposition fee on current C230 lease
$500 down (total out of pocket) at lease signing
2009 C300 with 18" wheels and iPod kit
48 months at 15k miles per year
    $487 per month (including tax)

No problem, Frank. Mercedes-Benz Financial's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 39 month lease of a 2009 C300 4Matic with 12,000 miles per year are .00125 and 55%, respectively.

    Car Man,

Please advise on current lease deal, I am in So. Cal. I went back to first dealer and they could not beat this offer all they could do was offer to match it. I am also going to ask them to waive disposition fee on the new lease.

    I appreciate any feedback.

    Thank you.

    Nope - I held off.

Glad I did - now they are quoting mid 5s for a loaded 09 CLK coupe, 36 months 12k per year $1500 down. I still have time left so I'm waiting to see what happens at the end of the month.

Hi Assamese and everyone else on this helpful forum,

Thanks very much for your post - I was able to use your similar numbers to get a deal for myself. I got the following from a dealer in Seattle:

    Make/Model : NEW 2009 C300-4matic Sport
    Options:
    P1 package
    iPod Integration
    Burl Walnut Wood Trim
    Color: BLACK exterior, BLACK Interior

    LEASE TERMS
    39 months/ 10k miles-per-year
    $468 per month plus tax
    NO Downpayment
$1880 at the time of signing lease (includes everything: taxes, DMV, 1st month's payment, bank fees doc fees, destination fees, whatever)

waived the following on my existing lease:
    - Remaining 1 payment
    - Disposition fees

    Cheers!

Here is the scoop.. My wife has an 06 Murano lease ending in Sept. The Nissan folks have been tools lately and I could not get what I thought was fair. I grew up in Benz's and with a family, figured it was safer and maybe a better buy.. I am looking at the C300 with leather, wood trim and sat radio.. What can you experts tell me on the best deal. I am 50/50 on leases.. I would want tp put no more than 2k down.. What do you think? What should I be demanding and what should I be hoping for? I am in the Charlotte market, I think Beck imports is my local dealer but I would drive up to 100 miles for a good deal...??
  • trustworthytrustworthy Member Posts: 10
The first question I would ask is why you are considering leasing.
  • art234art234 Member Posts: 99
I got quoted on a C300 4 matic with Prem 1 and 2 and sport $535 fees up front or $588 with first and acquisition only. I didn't get the entire lease workup but this was 39 months and 15K. Does it sound right?
  • mbcosmbcos Member Posts: 19
Boltsfan, Go for it as long as you are still getting the P1 package. I saw you write P1 package in previous threads, but not this one. $500 out of pocket at lease signing is really good. $487 a month is not too bad. Good luck.
  • boltsfanboltsfan Member Posts: 29
Does not include P1 but none of those options are important to me. I don't use them now on my C230.

I spoke to two different dealers and neither would beat that monthly payment, they would only match it.

My only concern was getting the 18" AMG wheels and iPod kit.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Went with your recommendation and just picked up the car from Erik this week..he was a delight to work with..did it all over the phone..other dealers could not match his offer..C300 4 matic with prem 1 and Ipod upgraded paint (capri blue)..msrp 40570....39 month lease 12k per year $2,000 out of pocket and 435 per month including tax. Car is wonderful..thanks again for all your advice

    premium 2, multimedia, i-pod connection.
what do you think the best possible deal i can get for 39 month lease? one dealer told me $565 a month and $2800 out of pocket. that deal is crap for a car that has msrp of 44,000.
Please help. i would like to get it asap.

    Thanks.

    Hi Carman,

Can you telll me the MF and residual for MB C300 and 350 for May?

    Thanks!
  • skinsoskinso Member Posts: 8
I just got a quote today, what do you guys think? a good deal or not:
    C350
    Options:
    P2 package
    mulitmedia package
    Panorama Sunroof
    AMG 18″ 5-Twin-Spoke Wheels
    iPod Integration
    Color: WHITE exterior, BLACK Interior

    LEASE TERMS
    39 months/ 12k miles-per-year
    $545 tax included
    $2500 drive-off

    GOOD OR NOT?
  • biotechgirlbiotechgirl Member Posts: 2
skinso - i think that sounds very good!!
  • skinsoskinso Member Posts: 8
i was going to do it, and then they said my credit history was not that strong, n we have to put down $1350 more, so the total will be $3850 drive off, but the monthly will go down to $509 tax included, still a good deal? on numbers, we save $18 in 3 years. But i am not sure if there is any hidden catch which i dunno about. anyone can give me a quick response? wanna get it done today...thx
  • boltsfanboltsfan Member Posts: 29
Seems like a good deal to me.

Don't buy into the credit score crap. If you are in mid 600s you should qualify for tier 1 credit and should not require putting any more money down.
  • skinsoskinso Member Posts: 8
Guys, i already got into the credit score bs...crap...anyway, this is the detail of the final deal:

    C350
    Options:
    P2 package
    mulitmedia package
    Panorama Sunroof
    AMG 18″ 5-Twin-Spoke Wheels
    iPod Integration
    Color: WHITE exterior, BLACK Interior

    LEASE TERMS
    MSRP $46,640
    Sale Price $41500 (around)
    Residual Value 52%
    Money Factor .00084
Drive off: Bank fee $1095 + DMV $388 + First Month Payment $500 + $1552 Cap Reduction + $261 sales and use tax on the cap reduction + $45 document fee + $9 CA tires fee = $3850 (round to the nearest dollar)
    39 months/ 12k miles-per-year
    $500 (CA tax included)

and add the tear & wear protection for up to $5,000 damage when i return the car @ the employees' price = $699, I paid it up front since this item is not taxable, if I rolled it into the monthly, then it will be taxed and charged for interest.

The dealership is so nice through the whole process, except for the credit score thing, and the best is they almost offer everything at invoice. Hopefully my number will help u guys in getting the C350.

The most amazing thing for me about this car at this moment is the screen can even show the chinese character, which I have never seen at either the bmw or audi so far!

    Where is Erik located.

I am looking to get the best deal on a 39 month lease on a 09 C300 sports with automatic and burlwood only. I am in OC California. Fletcher Jones has told me that they are selling $1,500.00 under invoice at $33,800.00. They are using the MF of 0.00165 with about $1685.00 drive off, the payments are at approxiamtely $431.56 plus tax. They are upcharging for the Irridium Silver color.

Does anyone know about any other deals here in Southern California on a plain automatic 39 month lease? I only want a 10K per year.
  • bridger71bridger71 Member Posts: 4
Quick question for you guys. Have you been able to negotiate the disposition fee on your new leases. I'm not talking about having it waived on a previous lease by leasing a new MB. I mean do I have a chance of having it removed from the contract or at the very least reduced?

    Thanks!
  • jwilliams2jwilliams2 Member Posts: 910
Probably not. They use their standard leasing contract, and they won't change it for one person. The dealer has no say in this, by the way.
  • jeff9241jeff9241 Member Posts: 2
Sorry I haven't been on lately but if you are still interested the salesman was Vincent La Rosa---.From what i can see it looks like these deals are still on ----GOOD LUCK
  • sandvipersandviper Member Posts: 2
Leased MSRP 37,650 for $480. $680 out of pocket 39mo 12K ( I Feel OK about that). SC sales tax is limited to $300 on auto sales(pretty nice eh?)

But I was bumed about the lack of Leather and the memory seats that in order to operate I have to hold the button (mine is number two) in, until the seat and wheel get done adjusting. There are no numbered keys like a real memory seat has.I have four windows that have a one touch up and down but have to hold a button for 10 seconds at an awkward angle on the side of the door to adjust the seat. Easy exit/enter feature is half assed also (only the wheel goes up the seat does not slide back) like in a real system. $350 for I Pod hook up( get serious) thats 10 cents worth of technology (did'nt get it) There is a lot I like about the car but it seems the attitude of MB is if you want a luxury car instead of an entry level luxury car come up with some serious money.

Hey guys, I am currently shopping for a C Class Sport 300. So far I have 2 deals in the hopper. Please let me know your thoughts. I know that one of them is ridiculous. Both deals are on the same car using a MF = .00165 & Res Value = 53%.

MSRP $35,545 (Base Sport w/ Auto Trans and Wood Option)

    Deal #1 (the good one)
    39 Month
    15K miles
    $479 per month + tax @ 6%
$1559 at signing (1st pmt, tax, dealer fee $599, tag and "miscellaneous taxes")

Deal #2 (the bad / ugly one)
    36 Month
    15K miles
    $564 per month + tax
$850 at signing (1st pmt, tax & tag)

    Thanks all!

Hi pammyd. Here's the information that you're looking for. Mercedes-Benz Financial's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 C300 Sport with 15,000 miles per year are .00165 and 53%, respectively.

The numbers for an otherwise identical lease of a 2009 C350 are .00084 and 50%.

    Hi All,

I am back in the C market... Is this a good offer?

C350 with P2, Panorama, AMG 18" Wheels, iPod Integration Kit, Chrome Handle Inserts. The car is white w/ almont/mocha MB-tex.

    MSRP: 43745
    Sale Price: 39745
    Monthly Payment: 479 + tax.
    Down: 2500 (1st month, dmv, dearler\doc fee)

I really believe I could do less... any thoughts\suggestions? My target is 450 with everything, although 475 (rent+tax) is doable.

    thanks!

So here is the situation...I currently have a 2006 Lexus GS 300 AWD with approx 41K miles and 12 mos left on my 48 month lease. The current pay off is 30K as of today. I am interested in getting into 2009 Mercedes C 300 with P1 (or P2 if can get it at the right price) - another lease. Went to dealership yesterday and was given this...salesman knew nothing of my current lease situation..

    MSRP 41750
    Invoice 39489
    Selling price 41230
    License fee 250
    Doc fee 50
sales tax 4040.54 (WA - I thought was 8.8% - this number doesn't seem to make sense either)
    total 45570.54

    Quotes
    39 month lease / 2500 down / MF 0.00195 / 55% residual = $646.69/month
    48 month lease / 2500 down / MF 0.00195 / 45% residual = $637.54/month

After a lot of haggling I was finally able to negotiate him down to sell at Invoice price + tax but that didn't seem to make much difference in the prices. I feel like there is some extra fee that I am not being told about. Anyway, I am prepared to go into another dealer and still awaiting an online quote - any suggestions on how to negotiate this deal and what I should shoot for in terms of final sales price. I would love to get my monthly payment under $550/month.

    Thanks! Any advice is appreciated.

Your only dilemma is going to be with your Toyota...oops, Lexus. The deal you are getting on the new MB is a great deal. You're getting everything at dealer cost. There is currently no rebate money to the dealer so they aren't holding anything extra. There are no hidden fee's. That's illegal. All of the states are different as far as the license or registration laws, and allowable documentary fee's. Other than that there is nothing that can be hidden from you (and even those can't).

Well, unless you plan on paying the remaining payments with cash, this will add a substantial amount to your new payment.

You didn't say what your current payment is, but if I assume right around $500/mo, then that remaining $6k will add approximately $200/mo to a 3-year lease.

Hello all - I'm new to Edmunds and need advice. I currently have a 2008 CLK 350 cabriolet whose lease is ending in 6 months. Looking at a MB C 300 sport sedan on a lease - I was quoted a net price (including taxes) of $679 from SF Mercedes Benz with nothing down for 36 months and I would walk away from my current car. Milage restriction is 7500 miles per year. Should I go for this?
  • sfpacificsfpacific Member Posts: 3
Forgot to mention this includes the P1 package
  • sfpacificsfpacific Member Posts: 3
Just got an email with a new quote price of $659 per month from the same dealer -no money down. I just walk away from my previous car which has 6 payments left. This includes all fees and state taxes which is 9.5%. Do I do this? or should I wait a month or two?
  • qbrozenqbrozen Member Posts: 32,891
$500/mo with zero cap cost reduction on a $40k car sounds pretty good.
But you didn't say for how many months or miles.
And what did the $1600 include if no money down?

Just a data point for all of you looking to lease. I just signed up the offer sheet for my third MB (current are 2007 E350 4Matic and 2008 GL450):
    2009 C300 Sport 4Matic
P2, iPod, Multimedia, Pano and walnut trim
    $525/mo, 39 mo., 10k mi., with $0 cap cost
(total OOP of $2100, incl. 1st mo. and various fees).
This is in NJ, with 7% tax.

MSRP on the car us $45,290. Price for lease purposes is $41,100.

I'm pretty happy with the numbers. It's my 2d car with this dealer (also the GL), and he knows I have a relationship with another dealer, so there was precious little time-wasting.

    Got this offer.
C300 4MATIC with premium package 1 and Ipod and automatic, Black exterior and black interior
39 month Lease with 10K per year
    MSRP = 39600.00
    Negotiated price = 36800.00
    Money factor 0.0002
    Residual = 51.7% = 20,500.00
Monthly = 441.00 Incl taxes (IL)
    Cap cost reduction = 1750.00
    Total Out of pocket including taxes+ 1st month + title = 2543.00

Some one please tell me if this is a good one or not. I am new to lease.

Can you please tell me the name of your NJ dealer? Thanks
  • td_njtd_nj Member Posts: 11
Updating my above post, I got down to $505/mo with another dealer, but ended up going back to the original one when he went to $479/mo. (price basis of $39,000 and change on a car w/MSRP over $45,000).

I don't think the $479 is truly indicative of the market for a C300 4Matic w/P2, etc., though. Don't walk in expecting to get to that. I think there were other factors in play there. I'd guess the $505 is a more realistic expectation of pushing a dealer about as far as he'll go.
