2013 and earlier-Mercedes-Benz M-Class Lease Questions

  • Yes. I was turning in my R350 and they gave me fleet discount. I called and emailed about 10 dealers (luckily in Southern Ca you can do that). Most responded by email. The deal I did I never even went into the dealer. It was all by phone and fax and they brought the car to me and took my old one away.
  • Thank you very much, Car_man. I was able lease three ML350 4Matic 36 months, 15,000 miles with $1850 paid at lease signing for tag, 1st month lease, fee.
Two at MSRP = 56,550 - $692 per month- had tag trasfer from GLs
Third at MSRP = 55,000 - $685 per month- new tag

MB is charging over millage for 2 GLs $2668 & $5414. Does GAP insurance cover for over millage?

Hi- I recently leased a ML 350 4wd w/ P 1 package, runners, heated front seats, and upgraded wood wheel for 39 months, 15K miles for 750 per month including sales tax. Paid only first month payment at signing, all else was rolled in and the free maintenance was included. The 750 per month also included 6K in rolled in lease payments that were left over from a previous leased car we turned in to get the ML 350.

GAP insurance covers the car - if it's totaled and you owe more to the bank than it's worth. It comes free if you lease through MB Financial. It does not cover the over mileage.
If you have over-mileage - just roll it into the new lease.

Hey Car Man, I am truly new to leasing, but I have found that leasing my be the best thing for me. I love to change vehicles often, and buying doesn't seem beneficial any longer. Well here is the situation. I currently own a 2008 pathfinder in which I owe $22,000. The dealer is saying that it is worth only $19,000. I am trying to trade it for a ML 350 W2, Palladium Silver, P1 package, 19" 5-spoke alloy wheels, wood/leather multifunction steering wheel, sunroof package, trailer hitch, burl walnut wood trim, Brushed aluminum running boards w/rubber, rear seat entertainment system pre-wiring, heated front seats. MSRP $53,925, They are selling it to me for a sale price of $51, 662. I belong to USAA, so I also get a discount of $3,000. Now the salesmen told me that if I put $3,150 down at signing, my monthly payments will be $756. I just want to see if you think that this is fair with my trade in.

I suggest you familiarize yourself with the leasing info on edmunds first. You need to find out the money factor - residual - on the lease and learn to do the numbers. It really isn't that hard. I believe 2k of msrp is way too little as a sell price even with the 3k usaa but you are upside down on your trade so that is a factor. I wouldn't rush into any mb lease until you understand the process. Take your time.

Is it $2,000 down or $2,000 - total drive -off? Ask them what is the total amount out of pocket. Then shop them around by requesting quotes from other MB Dealers by e-mail...

    It is 2,000 drive off.

  • Welcome nita5. Since you are new to the world of leasing, you definitely should check out the following informative articles that are available here at prior to visiting any dealers: 10 Steps to Leasing a New Car and Calculate Your Own Lease Payment.

You are better off waiting to get something new until you are less upside down, or better yet not at all, on your Pathfinder. If you really can't wait, you may be able to get more money for your truck by selling it on your own rather than trading it in to the dealer.

Are you saying that the dealer quoted you a $3,000 discount off of the $51,662 selling price that you mentioned? If so, this price is probably between $1,000 and $1,500 over invoice. That's not bad if the dealer isn't making up your truck's money factor.

  • Hello jsd68. Here's the information that you're looking for. Mercedes-Benz Financial's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2010 ML350 4Matic with 12,000 miles per year are .00159 and 55%, respectively.

When negotiating your lease on this truck, make sure to take the $2,000 cash incentive that Mercedes is currently providing on leases of it into account.

Your payment is between1.1 and 1.2 percent of msrp. Pretty decent for MB.
  • Are your drive offs included in the lease payment? What options do you have on the car? is it a 4matic?

Hey landrover1. Mercedes' program for 2WD models is different than its program for 4WD models.

Mercedes-Benz Financial 's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2010 ML350 2WD with 12,000 miles per year are .00181 and 55%, respectively.

Mercedes-Benz Financial just came out with much better specials in March. They lowered ML Class short term financing to 1.9% APR. MB Financial cut they lease and finance rates across all models, especially C, GLK and CLS Class.

You can view all the special deals here: March, 2010 Mercedes-Benz Lease and Finance Specials vs. February . You can also compare the difference between March vs. February improvements.

Anyone, who was waiting for the good deals - now is time!

Mercedes-Benz extended March ML Class lease and finance specials until May 3rd. They also reduced rates for E class, GLK class, S class and R Class.

Mercedes-Benz USA records March sales of 19,637 cars - which is an increase of 25.9% over March of last year, so I guess MBUSA want to set record sales in 2010. That's why they continue to keep low rates.

You can see all the current April specials here: April, 2010 Mercedes-Benz Finance Specials vs. March, and also compare them to March specials - to see what changed.

Hi s9r9d4. I would be happy to use Mercedes-Benz's actual current lease program to work up a sample payment on the vehicle that you are interested in for you. Just let me know what its full MSRP and selling price are (or at least its MSRP and invoice price). You can find that info over in the New Vehicle Pricing section of

  • I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a new ML350 lease. The dealer has offered prepaid maintenance through Mercedes-Benz Star Service Pre-Paid Maintenance for $769. Is this a good investment? Will I save money on service over the 39 month lease with 12,000 or 15,000 a year?
