Hi Steve. This past Monday I notice on the dashboard of my 2006 LX470 , a sensor resembling a cutoff of a side of a tire . The previous day was a warm day but this morning cool down several degrees. Instead of driving to the Lexus dealership I went to my local Toyota dealer much closer to home. The Toyota tech said I bet is the spare tire that has low tire air pressure. They check all the tires but only the spare was about 15 pounds short once filled the tire sensor went away. BTW for this service Toyota did not charge me anything. I thought this sensor was useless , now I bite my tongue. Lou
I'd be interested to learn what you find out. Both of my cars are too old to use TPMS systems; hopefully the replacements are mostly "universal" and you can avoid paying dealer prices for the parts and installation.
I recently had a set of Mickey Thompson ATZ tires put on my LX470. They do not rub at all or need wheel spacers. The new spare also fits underneath. <img src="\\sanfile01\users$\graham_victor\Desktop\DSC02262.JPG
