Anyone have an A4 with sports suspension. How does it drive? It's a pretty cheap option but I can't find any dealers around with it.

I'm on my third A4. My first was a '99 Avant with a chipped 1.8t engine. I hated the way the car wallowed in curves with the standard suspension. My '02 Avant and my present '06 4dr both have the sport suspension and I wouldn't buy an Audi without it. And I live in NE Ohio where the roads aren't exactly state-of-the-art.

My current car was a factory order. That way I got exactly the stuff that I wanted... suspension, manual, etc. The wait was about two months, which was no big deal.

My only complaint with my A4 is that the seats, while being very comfy, lack lateral support.

While I have not had the opportunity to OWN an Audi yet, I am in the process of test driving etc. and the dealer happens to have both were I live.

In my opinion, well worth the $250 extra. When going from side to side it is a lot less springy, yet the vertical ride is very smooth (and I live in an incredibly bumpy city in my opinion - Houston).

I was doing some reading and it looks like the sports suspension came from the S4 - I am assuming it is the old S4 suspension. But knowing it is from the S4 is encouraging.

I had a Jetta with the sports suspension before and it sucked. The A4 is nice.

I have a 2007 A4 with the Sport's suspension. I've test drove this vehicle with and without it. The dealership in Virginia that I purchased the car from only had A4's with it. One dealership told me that I wouldn't like it but I supspect that since he didn't have one with this option on his lot that he was trying to get me to buy from his stock. I think that the cost was around $250 more. I have to say that I thought that daily driving would be rough but that handling, especially with the quattro is very balanced. Driving entrance and exit ramps makes you feel like your driving on rails...no matter what the weather. I highly recommend the sport's suspension.
