I am getting the following lease deal on a 2010 XF premium -

    1. MSRP 61675 (buy price 56495)
    2. Money Factor .00155 Residual 45%
    3. $829/month + taxes for 42 month lease

    Is this a good deal?

    Thanks!
  • aces48aces48 Member Posts: 2
    I don't think so.

    I just leased a 2010 XF Supercharged (MSRP 68,000)
    Buy price 56492
    Money factor 0.00197 Residual 50%
    $847/month + taxes for $930 total, 36 month/12 K lease. Zero drive off.

    Good luck!!

I'd be happy to take a look at this deal, rjh6. The car that you described probably has a spread of just under $5,000 between its full MSRP and its dealer invoice price. Add to that the $2,000 dealer cash that is currently available on the base 2010 XF and you have a total of around $7,000 to play with during your negotiations.

You were quoted a discount of $5,500. If the dealer is taking $1,000 of the cash incentive off of that the discount increases to $6,500. That puts you at around $500 over dealer invoice, which is a very good deal.

Just make sure that the dealer uses Jaguar's current 36-month lease money factor of .00125 to calculate your payment and you're in business.

    Dear Car Man,

I need some urgent help here pricing a car.

I am getting the following deal on a 2010 XF Premium -

    MSRP 61675
    Buy Price 56495
    Money Factor 0.00155
    36 Month 12000 miles 0 down
    $820/month + taxes

In one the posts above, there was a roughly $10000 discount on a Supercharged version. Is there any cashback available on the XF Premium? What should be my best deal for a 36 month no money down on the above car?

I will appreciate a prompt response as I need to pull the trigger on it this week.

    Regards

I got the following offer on a 2010 XF Premium in Houston. Brand new car, luxury package.

    MSRP: $57000
    Buy Price: $49150
    Down payment up front: $5000
    30 months
    ---
Monthly: $1032 for 15k miles, and $997 for $10k miles

They didn't give me residual price or money factor, but based on the specs I've calculated the residual to be $27930 (~49%) and moneyfactor 0.00625 (~14-15%)

So they are obviously screwing me on the interest rate, which is no surprise as I recently moved to the US and have no credit history (rated Tier 5)

I just want your opinion on how bad this obvious bad deal is. The residual price and rebate seems to make up for some of it... but..?
  • dchamp72dchamp72 Member Posts: 25
The deal is pretty bad and as you noted it is probably the interest rate that is causing the problem.

    I recently bought a 2010 XF Premium. MSRP $59960. 36 mos/12k. No money down. $809/month.

Hope it works out for you. It's a great car!!
  • mn63021mn63021 Member Posts: 4
    Dear dchamp72,

Could you please let me know if $809 is with or without local taxes? If it is with taxes, could you please let me know the net amount without the taxes to compare the deal I am being offered?

    Thanks for your assistance.

    Regards
  • dchamp72dchamp72 Member Posts: 25
The $809 includes taxes. I will need to check my lease for the amount applicable to tax. I will get back to you.
  • mn63021mn63021 Member Posts: 4
Thanks dchamp72. I will appreciate the true breakup and the state that you are in to compare my deal. Appreciate the expedited response.

    Hi All,

I'm looking for June lease rates for 2010 Jaguar XF Premium.

    Thanks
  • dchamp72dchamp72 Member Posts: 25
The $809 monthly payment is my total payment but there is no sales tax included. I'm in SC and sales tax is capped at $300 and paid in full at signing/delivery. Of course, we have to pay a yearly property tax to the county which is pretty significant but totally unrelated to the lease deal.

    Hope this helps.

    Car_man,

Can you provide me the Jaguar Credit 36mo (buy) rates and residuals for the both the 2010 and 2011 XF? 10K mi is fine. I am trying to determine if the 2010 is really that much of a savings over a 2011. I can calculate it out myself but welcome your thoughts?

Does anyone have the lease rate for 2011 XF premium for 36months and either 10,000 or 12,000 miles a year. Thanks.

    Car Man,

The MSRP of the car is $53,000 and the Invoice price is $48,500. Please advice as to how much would the monthly payment come upto including $0 down and tax included.
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
Hi gatorjag. Through August 2nd, Chase's (that's who Jaguar uses for its captive finance company) lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 XF Premium with 12,000 miles per year are .00313 and 56%, respectively.

The residual value for a lease with only 10,000 miles per year is 1% higher.

Hey mineshg. I don't believe that you ever mentioned what trim level XF you're interested in, so for now I'll assume that it's a base model. Let me know if you want something different.

According to my calculations, if you were to lease a base 2010 Jaguar XF that has an MSRP of $53,000 and a selling price of $49,500 ($1,000 over invoice...this will vary depending upon what you are able to negotiate through Chase right now for 36 months with 12,000 miles per year, your zero down, pre-tax monthly payment would be around $746.

Good morning. New to the board, from Orange County California.

My wife really has her heart set on the 2010 or 2011 XF.While I've heard that there were some decent leasing programs out there, went to the local Jag dealer who told me the minimum down payment for their lease program is $7K down.

Why in god's name would I put $7K down on a car and never see that again??

When I asked why, he said that Jaguars, unlike my Audi, only has a 30% residual value at the end of the lease. Basically, he pretty much sold me OUT of a car.

Anyone else having experiences like this?
  • dchamp72dchamp72 Member Posts: 25
Doesn't sound like a very good deal. I got a 2010 XF premium back in March. The msrp was $59k. Monthly pmt is $809. First month due at signing -- nothing else down.

Looking for Lease rates on Jag. XF Luxury (Base) at 53K MSRP.
Residual and money factor at 3 yr. 12K/yr.

    Car_Man, are you still around?

  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
Hi nycinoc. What you were told is not entirely correct. While Jaguar's residual values aren't exactly awesome, they're much better than 30%.

Chase (that's who Jag runs its official lease program through) current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a base 2011 XF with 15,000 miles per year are .00208 and 50%, respectively. As you can see, 50% is a whole lot better than 30%.

You were absolutely right not to make a $7,000 down payment on a leased vehicle. I always advise consumers to put as little money down as possible when leasing.

We are looking at the Jag XF 2011 Premium with no additional options, leasing for 3 yrs or so, 15K miles per year. I see on the website $599 mo but with 5k out of pocket. Is there any better offers out there for this car?
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
Hi mlofgren. Manufacturers' advertised lease payments usually leave a little meat on the bone so to speak. They're usually not terrible deals, but it makes sense if there is still room left to negotiate. Dealers would be pretty irritated if their manufacturers advertised the thinnest possible deal on a vehicle.

The easiest way to get a good deal on a leased vehicle is to shop around for the lowest possible selling price and then have the dealer that you decide to go with calculate your vehicle's monthly payment using its buy rate lease money factor.

I'm considering leasing a 2011 Jaguar XF base model, without any options, and am looking at 36 months/15,000 miles per year, with minimum drive-off. I'm in Southern Calif., with an 8.75% tax rate.

Can Car_Man or anyone else provide Jaguar's money factors and residuals for a 2011 XF at 36 months and 15K miles per year?

    Thanks in advance.
  • gg107gg107 Member Posts: 7
Thank you, but there's no need to bother with my previous question, post #180. The answer is .00057, and 48%.

I leased an Infiniti M37 instead.

Can you provide the lease rates and residuals for the Jag XF Premium assuming a lease of 12 or 15,000 mi/yr. for a 36 to 42 month lease term?
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
I'd be happy to help you out, dmc5524.

Chase's March buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 XF Premium with 15,000 miles per year are .00132 and 48%, respectively.

The numbers for an otherwise identical 42 month lease are .00148 and 44%.

I'm not sure if Chase adds 1% or 2% to its 15k residual values for 12k leases, but I think that it's 1%.

thoughts on using a broker that gets paid by dealership? seems ripe for conflict. what is a good price on Jag XF Premium no other options. Edmunds had it near invoice at $53,125 or so. They have the 0% financing going on as the incentive. No cash back option

    Hi,

Can anyone answer what the current numbers are for a jag xf premium 48 months 12k/year lease? PS: Is it a bad idea to go for as long as 48 months? I know it is within the warranty limits, but anything else I should worry about?

    Thanks!
  • bobcat63bobcat63 Member Posts: 7
I can't on the 48 months but a 36 month with 12k mileage was $711 a month before sales tax and title. There was a acquisition fee of 795 up front. This was on a premium xf. This was up from teh $599 adv price but that was only 10k miles and had 3995 of costs up front, which may have included the 795 comparison and it was 39 months.
  • nebraska3nebraska3 Member Posts: 1
I went to a Jag dealer today to inquire about getting into a base 2011 XF, I believe that is called the "Luxury Package". I was told with the cold climate, which was around $600, the MSRP was $53,650. The gentleman told me that price is pretty close to what they get it for so not a lot of room to go down.
He talked about the national deal going on, $593 / month (before tax), around 4k down payment, 10k miles per year for 36 months I think.
I really want this car, but want 15k/year miles and dont want to put much money down. Anyone have any idea what I could negotiate the monthly price down to and the down payment down to?? I need 15k miles per year. Thanks for your advice, I sure need it!
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
Hi tosvus. Jaguar's May buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 48 month lease of a 2011 Jaguar XF Premium with 12,000 miles per year are .00050 and 40%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

I personally prefer to lease for 36 to 39 months over 48 months, but I suppose that there's nothing really wrong with leasing for four years if your vehicle is still fully covered by its warranty and you are positive that you won't go over the mileage limit or get sick of it.

Several local dealers are offering a 42-month lease at $499/month with the following terms:

42 month closed end lease. Total of $4,999.86 (cash or trade equity) plus tax and license due at lease signing. No security deposit. On approved above average credit through credit through Jaguar Financial Group. 35,000 total miles with 30 per excess mile. All at this lease payment with MSRP $53,375.

Anyone know what the money factor and residual are on this offer? Zag.com quoted me a pre-agreed price below invoice, so I'm hoping to minimize that up-front payment. What are people paying for this car?

    thanks - r

    Hello Car_Man,

Do you have the rates for any non-R model XF? Looking for 10K miles per year and would do 36 month or 48 month terms or any odd month terms they might be offering. Any info would be most appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

Hello e90m. Jaguar's October buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2011 XF Premium with 10,000 miles per year are .00023 and 44$, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

The numbers for an otherwise identical 48-month lease are .00047 and 40%.

When negotiating your deal on this car, keep in mind that Jaguar is currently providing a massive $5,500 cash incentive on leases of it.

Does anybody know today's dealer cash incentives on 2011 Jaguar XF base models? I understand there is a national one of $8,000, but believe there may additional regional incentives, particularly in Texas.

I was in SFO this weekend and looked at one. Dealer indicated the incentive was $5,500.

Would also like to know what the rates are for November...

Car_Man - can you post when you have a chance? 10k miles; 36 and 48 month terms and if there are any odd term specials (39, 42, 51, etc). Thanks much in advance.
