I'm glad to hear that your dealership has been so accommodating through this process, but I'm sorry that you have had to go in multiple times to try and resolve the leaking concern to no avail. It looks as though a very good offer has already been made to you, but if you would like for us to check into this further we can be reached at socialmedia@gm.com
All the best,

I'm sorry that your new Acadia has been having so many difficulties between the water leaks, steering issues, and vehicle shut down. I hope that everything goes well with the dealership today, and if we can look into this further please email the following information to us at socialmedia@gm.com: your name/Edmunds username, phone and address, the last 8 of your VIN and current mileage, and the name of your involved dealership.
Kind regards,
Sarah

There is a high probability of mold infestation in your vehicle. I'd seriously consider dumping the vehicle either by selling it or via lemon law. After three leaks you shouldn't be driving that vehicle.

However, it is not our fault that the vehicle has this issue. they should fix the radio's and anything that was messed up as a result of the water damage.
After reading all of the posts on this topic, I am very discouraged. I too am experiencing this same problem with water leaking profusely. I vacuumed out over a gallon of water from the floor after a recent rainstorm. I have had this sent to the dealer 4 times so far and have another appointment for next week. They are doing everything they can to resolve, at no cost to me, even though the vehicle is well out of the factory warranty. It has 97k miles and otherwise is in very good condition. I certainly don't blame my local dealership but I do think that GM needs to own up to the problem. Suggestions are welcome on how I can get GM to take ownership and not put it off on my insurance company to solve.
We're glad to hear that you've been receiving such great assistance from your dealership on this matter so far. Have you worked with Customer Assistance yet on this? If we can get a Service Request set up for you, please send the following information to us at socialmedia@gm.com: your name and Edmunds username, phone and address, the last 8 digits of your VIN and current mileage, and the name of your dealership and details about appointment history (date, what was performed, etc.).
Regards,

Since reading this forum and knowing that there is a problem with the whole steering area, GMC/buick dealership and GM knows there is a major problem and there has not been enough deaths to have a recall yet. I can highly bet that all these recurring problems they are having with this truck (MPG, transmission, steering, sunroof leaking, drains) will be fixed in the newly redone model coming out in a few weeks.
I love the car and the Ride, and i told myself after my horrible Saturn experience i would never buy another GM Product. (My Honda Odyssey is 7 years old, 78k and replaced tires and brakes)
Now, we are having electrical issues. If I could afford to get rid of this car I would.
I had the same problem about a year ago. I believe there is a recall that adds some splash covers in the wheel well area that block water from coming up onto the serpentine belt.
Thank you for taking the time to post your concerns and frustrations. Have you spoke with GM Customer Assistance? Can you please email me directly with your VIN, current mileage, and dealer of choice? Please include your complete contact information. I would like to look into this further for you. I look forward to hearing from you.

THAT IS UTTER BULL.
I asked for his boss and he told me there was none. Now, you're telling me that within one week of parking outside that is enough for the car to malfunction and continue to leak?
Unacceptable. I would love to join a class action lawsuit. This car is a lemon.
I've run out of ideas and I'm terrified of driving my car. Why won't anyone help?
I have had the rear heating/ac system replaced. I have had the front a/c replaced 2x's. I have had to have the storage box replaced in my front dash, my radio/nav/dvd replaced, my amplifier replaced, my steering hub replaced, buttons under the radio for changing modes replaced, my rear driver side tailite replaced as well as the computer board for it and more I just cant remember right now. I have had all the work done at my gmc dealer, who has damaged car and am waiting for the body shop to repair (scratched off the paint in my doorwell, ripped my weatherstripping, dented my leather seat, left impressionsand scratches on my leather steering wheel, broke the plastic [piece that covers the seatbelt at the base of the side of the seat and had total disregard for my personal belongings by throwing my prescription glasses and ralph lauren sunglasses on the back seat left underneath my car matt that they never put back in place and not to mention the grease left on my windshield and dashboard.)
All I know is if this is the NEW GM then you can count me out, which really stinks because now there is NO good american product left, I have never purchased a foreign car in my life... NOW What. And I hate how GMC is not doing something about what they obviously know about, seeing all these posts turn my stomach, I have spent way to much money on a vehicle that is a CERTIFIED PREOWNED, yeah guess that means nothing too.
PLEASE TELL ME GMC is doing something about this!!!????

It leaks non-stop. We've had it in for service 4x and no luck. I was relentless in talking to customer service and finally, after multiple phone calls, I was told that yes there is an issue with the drain pipes being easily blocked in 07 Acadias. That this is a significant problem in areas of the country with lots of trees and rainfall, but that they have no solution for me other than to suggest I use covered parking. Considering I do not have a garage at home or at work, this is impossible. The manager had the gall to suggest that the car is not the problem because if I lived in an arid state I would have no trouble. I take this to be the reason why they haven't recalled them. The majority of owners live in dryer areas, with fewer trees, or have access to covered parking.
Honestly, just hearing them admit that their car was poorly manufactured was enough for me. I asked if they could send me a car cover, free of charge, and they said no. They did offer to give me $1,500 towards the price of a NEW GMC. Considering a brand new Acadia costs like $40,000, I politely declined.
The manager, Max, also kept telling me that since I bought it used there wasn't nothing he could do. I said, so what would you do differently if I bought it new? ... Nothing. It would be comical if we weren't talking about a $30,000 used vehicle.
Ah well. We're selling it back to the dealer and buying a Hyundai. If I hadn't been treated so poorly by GMC I would have considered buying a newer model, but they have lost a customer for life.
Good luck everyone.

I really hope that you have better luck with your next vehicle! When I was considering trading my car in I was actually looking at the Hyundai Veracruz and the Mazda CX-9. As much as I love the Acadia and the other GM equivalents I think they have a lot of work to do to gain trust back from all of us that have had these issues with our vehicles. I am still not sure if I will be keeping mine as my daughter has severe asthma and I dont feel that the car is safe for her with the huge probability that it is ridden with mold.
