I have an 86 300E with 145K miles. The seats, steering wheel only operate with the doors open. The other equipment operates with the door closed. All used to work either way. Any help?

I would like to purchase either a 2006 or 2007 used Mercedes E Class. Is the larger purchase price of the 2007 over the 2006 model worth the extra money? The engine size is the same but there are some changes between the two years in other areas such as the brakes.

Do not buy the '06 (electronic brakes).

Had an '07 wagon; great car. Had for 47 months and 39k miles.

Saw the new "11 wagon and ordered asap.
Thousands of improvements over the '07.

Traded at the right time and paid half price for the '11: pd. $35k on a $65k car including sales tax and title.

Congratulations on your 2011 Mercedes. Thank you for your advice. I will buy the 2007 E Class instead of the 2006.
