    Jett456,

That looks like a good deal. How many miles per year? Here's what I'm getting in NJ this weekend:

    ILX Premium 6-speed
    12k miles
$1,400 out the door (taxes and fees)
    $292.12 per month.

I can probably lower that number below the 290 mark a bit.
  • jett456jett456 Member Posts: 50
10,000 miles. I average about 7 a year so it was fine for me. If you add the $1400 into your payment its $331. So pretty much the same given the additional mileage. My quoted payment was $289. I chose to roll the fees into the payment.

What dealer in NJ if you don't mind me asking? I live in NY, I've been looking around in NJ, that quote I got was from Bridewater Acura. I was thinking of trying DCH in Montclair, the Acura of Brooklyn keeps jerking me around with a price through email.
  • michaelsantosmichaelsantos Member Posts: 2
The above quote was from Acura of Ramsey. I also got a matching quote from DCH Montclair, plus or minus a dollar.

The dealers have $750 in dealer cash right now (different from the Military offer). You should be able to get it pretty close to invoice if you try hard enough.

Hello, after so much research and reading all these forums I went hunting for my deal. This is what I got today in South Florida:
ILX Premium model - Automatic 2.0 engine.
Closed Lease term 36 mnths, $0.00 Down, $0 sec. deposit.
    Gross Capitalized Cost $26913
    Residual Value $18357
They gave me $750 for my trade in which they applied towards capitalized cost reduction, which gave me an adjusted capitalized cost amount of $26,163 and only amount I put out of pocket was $975 to cover registration, fees, docs and upfront first payment included as part of the $975
10K miles per year and monthly pays of $241.15 including taxes. They even threw in the maintenance plan with free oil changes and car washes for the life of the lease. Did I end up with a good deal??

So what was your final negotiated price? I might put down $500 and pay a little more a month? How bad was the doc fees on it? I heard you can get them removed or at least get them to eat half of it. I spoke to a leasing company they told me Acura doc fees were $299!
  • jett456jett456 Member Posts: 50
One dealer's doc fee was $175 and the others wereas299. The broker I talked to didn't have a doc fee at all. The bank fee was the same for all $595. DMV fees were $101 because I already had Honda plates.
  • brooklynaudibrooklynaudi Member Posts: 53
Owch were these doc fees negotiable? Or could you at least get them to split the cost with you?
  • jett456jett456 Member Posts: 50
You did really well. Your fees are lower than here in CT.

Will the $750 cash incentive still be good for next month? And do you think the prices will stay the same in January?? Can't pull the trigger this month no matter what I'm going to have to wait until January, just afraid the prices are going to go up.
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
Hi brooklynaudi. Acura's December buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2013 ILX Premium with 12,000 miles per year are .00024 and 60% for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

When negotiating your deal on this car, make sure to take advantage of the $750 cash incentive that is currently available on leases of it.

Hey brooklynaudi. It's difficult to say for certain what manufacturers will do with their future incentives programs, however I suspect that the $750 cash incentive will indeed be available in January.

Is this lease calculator broke? Because I just came back from a dealer and off the phone with a leasing company. Dealer said $27,902 for the car. MF was .001240 which is different then the one I received here. The MSRP is 30095 after $2,997 in fees (bank fee, doc fee, taxes etc. plus some mystery fees) with $1,000 down it came out to $326 a month????? Using the calculator my calculations came out to $284. The leasing company wanted $348 and another $300 a month (with $1,500) what's going on here??

I feel like it's not calculating NY state tax correctly....because other leasing calculators are showing different numbers
  • jett456jett456 Member Posts: 50
I just picked up my car. Premium. $315. Dealer made first month payment and paid my last month's lease payment. Only out of pocket was doc fee plus tax $317. Try calling Curry in Westchester county NY for a quote. They were pretty close to my deal in CT.

Ok thanks. I actually called 2 other dealers, got the price down to this.

    MSRP 30,095
    SELLING PRICE 27,602
    12,000 miles
    DOC FEE $250 (????)
    $1,000 down (includes first month)
    $307.48/month (all included)

I was going to see how much I could save if I got the base model (MSRP 26795) If it's significant I might take the base instead.
  • brooklynaudibrooklynaudi Member Posts: 53
A second dealer price matched it, almost same as above monthly is $306.50/month with $1,000 down. $27602 selling price, still hesistant to pull the trigger I feel like there is some mystery dealer cash in there because the Edmunds calculator says I should be getting it for cheaper.

  • jett456jett456 Member Posts: 50
Seems like a great deal. I would have them roll that 1000 into the payment. The interest rate is so low it doesn't make sense to me to pay anything out of pocket. Its $1000 over 36 months rather than giving it to them up front.
  • natarajvnatarajv Member Posts: 3
Anyone have a sense of what the pending Acura ILX refresh (disappointing sales, they are replacing the powertrain with a new 2.4L engine) will mean for leasing prices in the next 6 months?

Fwiw, currently being offered an ILX Premium w/ Tech for $3000 down and $270 a month (12,000 miles per year). Cost of car came out of $29500 after instant savings, taxes, fees, etc.
  • beach15beach15 Member Posts: 1,305
There are no major changes planned for the ILX, despite the earlier stories that were then clarified and moved back from.

That sounds like an aggressive Tech package offer. Residuals, rates and pricing are very strong on the ILX right now.
  • natarajvnatarajv Member Posts: 3
Aggressive as in good or aggressive as in bad?
  • jsssjsss Member Posts: 3
Guys can you please tell me if I got a good deal.

    JAN 2ND 2013

    2013 ILX TECH PACKAGE - 10k / 36 month

    MSRP: $32,295
    Your price: $29,500
    Money factor: .00024
    Residual value: $19,800
    Monthly payment: $344
Down payment including first month pmt: $2,500
  • natarajvnatarajv Member Posts: 3
Think that's a pretty good deal and about what I was seeing.

I shopped around and finally pushed hard, and got to: $29,300 final price, .00024 money factor, same residual value, $289 a month and $2000 down. 12k miles, 36 month lease.

Aggressive offers all around from Acura. Mine was at Hopkins Acura in Bay Area.
  • jsssjsss Member Posts: 3
That is a great deal natarajv. I am paying around 2.4k more than you.

    Tech Package right?

These are really very nice cars...especially the dash layout. When I sat in it, it made me forget it was really a Civic. I just think it's a bit over priced for what one gets and the fact that it requires premium makes it an illogical choice. Still a nice car though but for the same price, the Verano seems to be the better choice. Just wonder if the Verano will be cheaper to lease and/or buy at this point?

Went to a dealer yesterday but didnt negotiate the selling price for a lease for a base 2013 Acura ILX. Basically the list price of the base ilx was $26795 + $795.00 dealer fee + $5.00 Florida Waste tire fee $5.00 + $1.50 Fl waste lease acid battery fee + $71.95 title and fees + 7% tax of $1446.65. Im trading in my car and they are giving me $7k and Im using $3500.00 from there to put down as a payment. They gave me $220.91 for 36 months with 15k miles. I would like my car to be about $200.00 a month but I feel that I should not have to put $3500.00 down plus they are going off the base price of the car and I should be able to do better. When negoitating, can I get down to the invoice of the car? I saw online the invoice was $24,452.00. What do you think is a fair amount of money to put down to keep my payments about $200.00? BTW is the residual factor still the same at 16,612.00? Dealer mention it is now 61% not 62%. Thanks

Jennys1. I went to Rick Case Acura (Plantation/Davie). You should not be putting $3500 down to get to a payment of $220 on a base ILX. Remember you can negotiate everything. At first I was looking at base model and was almost ready to pay about $260 with $0 down, then after further research ended up with the ILX premium model, $0 down and under $250. Granted, I went with $10,000 miles but Acura leases forgive 50% of any excess miles over 10K up to 15k so even if I end up putting 15K, technically they would only charge me for 12,500 and I don't drive that much. Just tell them you want a $0 down deal, only taxes and fees then see what is the best and absolute bottom monthly pay amt. they come up with, negotiate that until you are down to what you want. THEN throw in the down pay question asking them how much more would it save if you put (1k, 2k) down. Good luck
  • jett456jett456 Member Posts: 50
You can also tell them you want zero out of pocket too. I rolled everything into my payment (except for the document fee). At the rate of interest they are charging its almost free money.

Hi lefty26. Acura's January buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2013 ILX Base with 15,000 miles per year are .00024 and 59% for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

When negotiating your deal on this car, make sure to take advantage of the $750 cash incentive that is currently available on it.

Hi moe46. the selling price that you were quoted is around $100 over invoice...or $850 over invoice after the cash incentive is taken into account. I wouldn't be surprised if you were able to shave a couple hundred dollars off of this car's selling price if you are in an area that has a decent level of competition, but again this is a pretty good deal.

Thanks for the super fast response. Unfortunately I would need to drive two hours for the nearest competition. I will keep the forum posted. Thanks again Car man.
  • brooklynaudibrooklynaudi Member Posts: 53
Money factor is .00024 looks like your missing a 0, not sure if its s typo. I was offered $1000 down 306.50 last month, sounds like you could shave a few dollars off your monthly
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
You're very welcome moe46. Don't feel too bad about the lack of competition. You're property taxes and other expenses are likely lower than they would be in an area that has a ton of dealers. I'll trade you ;). Good luck.

Just got this deal done yesterday for someone. I'm really not a big fan of this car but this seems to be the best deal around on it. MSRP - $30,095 and Invoice $28,402. I also got the $750 dealer cash and they sold it $600 into holdback. Final selling price $27,052 with .00024 money factor and 59% residual for 36 months / 12,000 miles yr. Just 1st month and DMV out of pocket = $308.75 per month. Here are the details...

Sounds like a decent deal for a Premium model. Even though I drive a '06 Civic and it looks so similar to your car, I'd still swap mine out in a heartbeat for a base ILX. Really isn't logical but I like the looks of your car so much better and I do like the dash only a tad better as i really like my digital speedo. But the rest of the ILX dash is a much more cohesive looking place and just love the leather. The car should have power thrones though...if you're paying a premium for a Civic, they might as well throw in all the power goodies to boot! Just my opinion!

Which store did you purchase from? I'm a former Westchesterian from Briarcliff Manor, but that was another lifetime ago!

My payment is 330 a month for a 2013 Tech package. Just over 350 after sales tax.

Zero due are signing. Walked away without giving them a cent.

10k miles for 36 months, they made the first payment as well. Like a 19xxx buyout in the end. I don't know the details. I'll probably buy it out in the end, so mileage I don't care.

They originally were asking 340 and got them down 10 dollars a month after a lot of haggling.

DO NOT LET THEM TELL YOU THE LEASE PRICE IS NOT NEGOTIABLE.

Just park your butt in their office and question their numbers over and over. If that doesn't work, call another dealer to see if they'll bargain and then go back to your dealer and say you have another dealer willing to work with their numbers.

I got all this done in about 3 hours, I think I did ok. Some may have done better but I'm happy. If I had more time I might have been able to shave a few more bucks off but I needed a car asap.

    Hello,

Is this a good deal on a 2.4L ILX Premium for Pennsylvania- Philadelphia area?

    Term: 36 months - 12000 Miles
    MSRP $30,095
    Capitalized Cost: $27,201
    Residual: $17,756

    Sign and Drive -- 326/month.

Where did you get that deal? Acura Limerick PA quote me a premium package of 310+tx (338/mo) sign and drive

A tech package is at 330+tx

KBB has ILX tech listed for 30k on average.. can i ask the dealer to lease based on that price instead of 32k?
  • peroxideperoxide Member Posts: 3
Absolutely! Never tell the dealer you are leasing, until you negotiate the final price. If you are purchasing, that's your purchase price. If you are leasing that is your capitalized cost.

The deal I mentioned below was from Elite Acura. They seem pretty decent. But I decided to go with a Honda Accord Sport. It's less money, more roomy, and not as loud as the ILX in terms of road noise.
