Mitsubishi Outlander audio amp failure

Hi all
My 2007 Outie with Rockford Fosgate system has suffered amplifier failure (Error DC displayed on control panel), it's very expensive from the dealer! Our local repair techs cannot repair - moisture got in apparently. Is it possible to bypass the amp and connect speakers directly to control head? I'm thinking there is a preamp in the control which would do for the time being.

    I have no idea. You might talk to support or post in the forums at http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/. Perhaps you can buy parts less expensive direct from the manufacturer.

    Maybe an aftermarket amp? I'd check with a local stereo installer.

    Thanks guys, I'm thinking of maybe changing the faceplate to a single Din type and putting a new radio in with wiring to the existing speakers. I see amazon sells the faceplates (metra). The amp is $1300 here in Brunei.
