    I'd love to see a comparison started up of various near luxury performance wagons. Some of the wagons that would fit are the Outback XT, Legacy GT, the Volvo v50 t5 awd, bmw 325x (awd), Dogde magnum and I'm sure there are others. Most of these are relatively new cars with limited histories and we need to here from the new owners as well as those who are making a decision. I am in fact doing this analysis myself right now preparing for a lease to end.

    Is this a new comparison discussion?

    Hasn't been enough of a call for comparison discussions like we have in Sedans. At this point, you can start one, but if it doesn't generate sufficient traffic, it will likely get closed by the system.

    Hi,

    I'm looking to trade-in my mid-sized SUV since I find I'm using it 85% of the time in city driving and the mileage (15-16mpg with premium) is a major bummer. However, I do like the spaciousness of the cabin and the roominess in the back seat, which makes a big difference with two car seats in the back. My wife's Outback Legacy feels very cramped with the car seats and is really too small for me in the front (I'm just about 6'0"). I thought about the Scion Xb, Honda Element but have safety concerns with all of those. Can anybody recommend a roomy wagon that gets good mileage (24+ in the city) that also has good safety features.

    Any input would be most welcome.

    A good place to start would be to copy and repost your question in the Help Me Select a Wagon discussion. You should get some definite opinions on a wagon to fit your needs, and then you can dive into the discussions on any specific wagons you want to take a closer look at.

    If you're looking for an MPG comparison type topic, we don't have a discussion like that going on. You'll certainly find discussion of the mileage that various wagons are getting within the main discussions about each wagon.

    If you use the Search Forums tool in the left sidebar, you could, for example, search in the text of the posts for "outback mileage" and you would get a list of posts where those two terms are used in each post.

    Since it really sounds like you're after a comaprison topic, I'll start one up so we can have folks start discussing their results. Here's a link to the new discussion:
