Here are some good discussions to help you get started:

    - Which 5 door hatchback?

    - Inexpensive new hatchback wanted

    - Used hatchbacks: got any ideas?

    - What do like about hatchbacks?

    - Upcoming Hatchbacks (real or concept)

Or try using the Search feature, on the left side of the page, to find a specific topic (make/model) of interest throughout Town Hall. Happy Motoring!

The fonts look different and not for the better. Did Town Hall change fonts? If not then I guess it is do to my changing the OS on my PC.
  • revkarevka Member Posts: 1,750
I'm not aware of any font changes. Although I've never really paid close attention to the exact font we've been using here. What kind of changes do you notice? Did you make any changes to the text size via your View menu?

Listed in the information area of Edmunds for new cars for the VW Golf/GTI under specs. it is stated the VW Golf/GTI is built in Mexico. This is incorrect as the Golf is built in Brazil and previously was built in Germany. Who is responsible for that section and can they be emailed about the error?
  • revkarevka Member Posts: 1,750
You can send your feedback via this form. For future reference, look for our contact information in our Help Section. ;-)

I sent one of those feedback forms months ago and nothing happened. Still the incorrect infomation persists. Oh well, I tried.
  • revkarevka Member Posts: 1,750
When you sent your previous feedback form, did you let them know that you were expecting a response? Could be that they feel that their information is valid..., or it's possible that they're just very busy and plan on eventually getting to this matter. Not sure the reasons why, but very sorry for the inconvenience. All I can suggest is that you try again... or send an email to our Town Hall manager, Jonah Brown: jbrown@edmunds.com

Good luck, and thanks for your participation.

    Hi Revka!

I am new to this Car world. I don't know which car is good for me to buy. I want a used car which works fine and can drive me to the places safely. I don't want many fancy features except necessary. My budget is limited to 4000 USD including all expenses. I am a student.

I don't know what to look for in used car before buying. I have not used cars much so I am totally ignorant you can say.

    Please help me.
    Regards,
    Maulin.

Feel free to join in any of the discussions here. Also, I'd like to suggest that copy/paste your message into our Used Hatchbacks - Got any ideas discussion. Let's see what kind of feedback you get there. Okay?

I think it would also serve you well to read the steps (1-6) outlined in this Edmunds' article: How to Buy a Used Car. This should be enough to get you started.... Good luck, and happy shopping!

Hi Everyone - Did you purchase a new vehicle recently? We look forward to hearing what you paid in one of our new Prices Paid & Buying Experience discussions.

Also, if you scroll through the list of Hatchback discussions here, you'll notice that many of these pricing discussions are also linked back to this message board.

Try using the open search box on the left side of the page to see if there's a "prices paid" discussion for the vehicle you are interested in. ;-)

    Hi!

I started a new post a few days ago under the Hatchbacks section (Info: 2004 VW GTI vs 2004 Civic Si), but I'm having trouble finding the thread. Can you help? Thanks!
  • SylviaSylvia Member Posts: 1,636
Yes, your post was moved to a discussion that already covered the comparison of these two vehicles.

I am interested in a used Ford Focus ZX5 with all options (e.g. traction control). I have no idea how difficult it will be to find one. I am wondering if there is a site that I could go to that would list production numbers and installation rates of various options for the 2003 & 2004 Ford Focus.

    Thanks
  • SylviaSylvia Member Posts: 1,636
Your best bet is to ask in the Ford Focus ZX5 discussion.

    Good luck!

I want to post a question on my 93 Probe GT. I had it stored for a while and now the engine starts quick, runs smooth, but idles at about 2000 rpms and after it warms up the idle falls and returns to 2000, constantly going up and down...codes
out of car are 56, 65, 14, 1 using a Ford NGS with a Mazda interface card. Car is an automatic and the O/D Light blinks out the code too....

MAF is fine and TPS is fine too???

    Thanks,
    Dave

Welcome! I'd ask the question in the following discussion - Idle or Stalling Problems - All Vehicles . There are plenty of folks who will be able to assist you.

    Hi,

I'm looking to trade-in my mid-sized SUV since I find I'm using it 85% of the time in city driving and the mileage (15-16mpg with premium) is a major bummer. However, I do like the spaciousness of the cabin and the roominess in the back seat, which makes a big difference with two car seats in the back. My wife's Outback Legacy feels very cramped with the car seats and is really too small for me in the front (I'm just about 6'0"). I thought about the Scion Xb, Honda Element but have safety concerns with all of those. Can anybody recommend a roomy hatchback that gets good mileage (24+ in the city) that also has good safety features.

Any idea where I should post this question?

    Thanks!
  • SylviaSylvia Member Posts: 1,636
Welcome! Try posting in Which Hatchback?.

The Scion xB is covered in our Wagons area and the Element is discussed in the SUV's board. You can access these discussions by using the Browse by Vehicle pulldown menus on your left. You might also post your inquiry in Help me select a wagon to see if other members come up with ideas that meet your criteria.

Also try some of the research pages:
    Honda Element Research
    Scion xB

    Good luck!

You'll probably have better luck asking in an existing and active discussion in the Maintenance & Repair board.
  • dickadicka Member Posts: 1
I purchased my 96 about six months ago. 1. The keyless locking has not worked, the remote evidently does something, because when I click it, the taillights flashes, but that's all. I can live without it (because I've never had a car with it before), but if it is fixable for a reasonable figure, it would be nice.
    2. Right now I'm having a problem with the rear gate on the car not wanting to open. I had no problems with it until about 10 days ago, I had to close it twice to get it to catch, and it took more force than normal. Now, when I use the key, it "sounds" like it unlocks, but won't open and I don't want to force it.
    3. Something that is strange. When I open the window on the driver's side, the door panel pushes out against my knee, and then as the window closes it goes back. I've never had something like this happen, and just wonder if it could be somehow connected to the keyless locking module I've read about here.
I'm fairly smart, but not a mechanic! I read some messages that talked about resetting the module, and wonder if that might do anything. Right now, my main problem is opening the rear gate, Thanks for any help.

    Hi all,
I know this is a hatchback discussion board but I want to know how to get the lights on my panel [the ones with the dials that say how fast I am driving] to turn on. I know the rest of the interior driving lights switch on with the head lights but I know that the fuse is still good - I checked - why aren't they working? Is there a good troubleshooting guide I can check out before going to a repair person?

    Thanks. :confuse:

You should try posting your message in the Idle or Stalling Problems - All Vehicles forum. You can also browse for the various discussions on maintenance & repair by using the "Browse By Topic" drop down menu on the lower left hand side of the screen. Best of luck -- I hope you get an answer that helps solve your problem.

I want to start a new topic.

    Volkswagen Rabbit 2007+

    The Rabbit is back!

Under $15,000 with great safety equipment and much better interior than it's competition.

The only hatchback I know of (reasonably priced) that isn't a compact is the Chevy Malibu Maxx. Why is most midsize or large hatches luxury cars and no family cars? You can't even get a good midsize wagon for under 25,000! The only large wagon under 25000 is the Dodge Magnum, which sucks because it's under powered with a 2.7L engine! An upgrade costs around 29000 to a 3.5L! I wish there was a larger variety with hatches. I like the Maxx but there is nothing to compare it to in its price range, which happens to be in my budget! A hatchback with 106 cubic feet passenger volume and that gets 22 mpg city, I think is the perfect family car, especially with gas prices on the rise who wants a gas guzzling SUV!
