I was unaware of the Tenever having been sold in the US officially or being badged as a Triumph TR-10 but there is a reference to it in the wikipedia in the entry for the Standard Ten.

You learn something every day in this topic. Stirling Moss once owned a Standard Ten IIRC.

There is a Rambler 2 back from the black beetle.

I love pictures from this era. Really points out how radically cars changed in just a few years. You don't see that much of a difference in 5-10 model years these days!

For some reason no one has mentioned the middle car in the first row which happens to be the newest car in the photo, a white 1962 Chevrolet.

I am struck by the lack of imported cars in this 1962 photo of an LA Freeway, there's only one VW and that oddball Triumph TR10. Where are the MGs, Jags and Renaults?

OK, that's not nice. It's accurate, but it's not nice.

You pretty much seem to see these downsized 62 Dodge and Plymouth vehicles as muscle cars these days, even though the vast majority of them were probably modified.

Yep, and you might well have seen it in NJ, as you can tell from the plate, the car resides in the NY area (Glen Cove LI). This particular car was originally powered by a 426 but re-engined w a 440 Max Wedge.

    G'day

It sort of reminds me of the perspective effect where you take a close up shot of your dog's nose with a fisheye lense.

It is an Opel GT from late 1960's

I'm OK with Porsche making SUVs/CUVs/sedans as long as they keep making great sports cars.

I'm not OK with BMW doing that AND changing their 'ultimate driving machines' into soft, complicated sedans that are no longer class leaders...

It's a Lancia B50 Cabriolet, with the world's first production V-6 under the hood. The engine is aluminum, and the 4-speed transmission integrated with the rear axle. All that in 1950--wow! Lancias of that time were beautifully engineered cars.

    G'day,
A very beautiful Pininfarina designed Lancia Aurelia convertible. Reminds me of a smaller version of an early 50's Bentley convertible.

    If Santa feels generous?

You have two options - you can use the Image button and paste the URL in the dropdown box or click on Attach a file and browse to a photo on your computer. This is an attached file:

    A Griswold Coronet?

If you click on the photo, it'll blow up to full screen size. And there should be a magnifying glass you can click and zoom on stuff, like the badging on the rear quarter panel. :)

At least, that's the way it's working for me in IE11.

Lets try that at a lower quality. It certainly says Coronet on the nameplate. Whilst I like the Griswold concept, it seemed more Frankenstein!

Well, that eliminates the huge photo and I can no longer zoom in on the badge with a magnifying glass option. Zooming the browser page at this size/resolution blurs the badge too much for me to read.

I'm not sure how the thumbnailing is working; maybe it's size dependent. Have to nose around - Andy's green machine didn't thumbnail like your Coronet.
