Sorry, I think the Destination Charge of $925 is in that total.

The original monthly payment they gave me was $593.48 with tax, but said they would reduce it to $575/month.

I just realized, this does not include keyless entry. I hate hunting for my keys.
  • babtongbabtong Member Posts: 4
Oh, and the $1k drive off is total, no other extra fees.

    2014 X3 xDrive 28i 36mo, 15K/yr lease
    .00125 MF and 56% residual
$750 Holiday cash and $500 lease loyalty

Same numbers for the 35i model...

I find interesting that the resale value of the X3 are high on dealer lots, but the residual that BMW gives doesn't reflect this. I guess BMW wants more 320is out on the road then X3's....
  • kyfdxkyfdx Moderator Posts: 236,527
That's exactly it... Residuals can be manipulated to provide an incentive to lease.. Cars that are desirable and selling well without incentives often have residuals that are actually lower than you would expect. (See: every Audi.. lol)

The first generation X3 often had pretty good lease subsidies in the form of higher residuals, and they sold a bunch of them... The new model has never had a great lease program, but they also don't seem to care to sell them in volume, either... which is unfortunate, if that is the vehicle you want.

Looking for X3 xDrive28i MF and Residual for Jan'14 (3 year lease / 10k miles per year). Also, any current leasing incentives on this vehicle (loyalty or otherwise)?

Any help that you could provide would be much appreciated! Thanks!

    .00130 MF and 57% residual

I see $500 option credit and $500 drive credit. Not sure what those two entail, but there you are.

kyfdx, Could you confirm what the January MF and residual is for an X3 28i w/15k miles/yr? Also, any info you can provide on current incentives for returning BMW lessees would be helpful as well. Just got contacted by my dealer about returning my X3 early (lease up in June) with no penalties...seems kinda early and I'm wondering how aggressive the incentives are for them to be doing this.

.00130 MF and 54% residual for 36 months. $1500 in credits. They do have a pull-ahead program to waive up to three payments, if your lease ends by July 31st or earlier (2010 and 2011 models).

@kyfdx Good Mornin'! I read somewhere Thursday/Friday that BMW has over $3,000 in hidden dealer monies floating around. Know or heard anything about this?
I see from above posts that the money factor has remained @ .00130, and residual still 56% for 12k?
Have a great deal on 2014 Cadi SRX AWD LUX, but the insurance surprisingly is more expensive than the X3! SRX is a beautiful vehicle, but the the gas mileage is not so hot! Have two more weeks to seal the deal!

  • kyfdxkyfdx Moderator Posts: 236,527

Yes.. .still .00130 MF and 56% residual.

I see $1500 in incentives, but there may be some owner loyalty or other incentives that I'm not aware of..

Did the February money factor change? The advertised lease price just went down by $30 per month. They added $250 to the advertised down payment (3250), but I didn't see any other changes.

  • kyfdxkyfdx Moderator Posts: 236,527

MF for February is still .00130

Cash from BMW went up to $1500 from $1000

    Hi kyfdx@Edmunds,
so I looking into leasing another BMW 2014 x3..xdrive28i...and comparing to the 2015 x3...xdrive28i.
    I don't know which I should get.
Options cold weather package, premium pack, panoramic moon roof.
I got an internet quote of $38,915.
Please tell me what the lease would be for 12K a month, 36 month lease?
btw: I'm hoping to get the car the first week of April when the lease is up.
do you know what the MF & residual is for March on BMW lease?
    Thank you again Kyfdx!

okay, so can anyone help me with this? I don't know if this is worth it!
I've been reading the posts, and I don't see where the MF or Residual are for the 2014 X3....and I got a quote from a dealer for the above $38,915 with MSRP of $39,800. Options are cold weather package, premium pak, and pano-roof. 3 year lease with 10k and possibly 12k miles a year. I'm a BMW loyal for past 10 years or so. Anyone? I need to know soon, so that I know where to start shopping for another dealer fast! Thank you. If I forgot something, I'm sorry. I'm not as clever as most of you are. :(

The 2014 X3 has $1500 of incentives on it from BMW, yet your dealer is only giving you a discount of $885? Did they quote a monthly payment? And, how much due at signing?

I had no idea about the $1500 of incentives. Is today the last day? I hope not! The dealer called me once, I was at a meeting, and asked him to call me back and he never did. I used TrueCar btw

I'm looking at the sheet I printed out. It looks like this...

    Base Msrp - 39,800
Total Options - 4,150 (Cold Weather Pkg, Premium Package $4,150)
    Dest. Fee 925
    Total MSRP - 44,875

then -$5,485 (off a base MSRP of $39,800)
    Drive credit -$1,000
    - 375 on options with an MSRP of $4,150
    - 100 Amex Card Member (expires today)

    Dealer Price - $38,915
    +Doc Fee 75
    Total $38,990

(excluding NY Long Island tax, Title)

    Invoice MSRP - $36,616
    total options - 3,775
    Dest fee 925
    Total Invoice $41,315
    Add Doc Fee 75
    Total Total $41,390

This doesn't reflect the Drive credit of $1,000, $100 amex.
So where is the $1,500 taken from. I am totally confused.

What should be the best deal?
    Thank you kfdx.......

I still don't know what the MF or residual is...
I don't know what the monthly lease would be for 3 years, 10k or 12k. And my BMW loyalty come into account? There will be no down payment. I remember reading that one shouldn't put any DP, besides I don't have any to put down.

    Thanks for all your help.

  • kyfdxkyfdx Moderator Posts: 236,527

In your first post, you said MSRP of $39,800 and selling price of $38,915. Now, you've given a total MSRP of $44,875. That's not a minor difference.. lol.

The $1000 drive credit is part of the $1500 incentives I referenced.

The BMW lease programs expired on Friday, but there will be another one starting today... We'll have to wait a little while to see them.

It's a factory incentive. I'm not sure if it's factory to dealer or factory to consumer. In other words, I'm not sure they have to disclose it. But, it's not much of a secret, so I doubt they will be surprised that you know about it.

Using the base money factor of .00120 for this month, I get a payment of $492/mo. That's a $20/mo. difference, but not sure if your payment includes sales tax? Or, if they might just be marking up the money factor for extra profit?

Also, your CAP cost is $949 over the selling price. The base acquisition fee is $725, so maybe some room for that to be marked up, as well?

About a $4500 difference between MSRP and selling price, but BMW is providing a $2K incentive on the X3 this month, so that needs to be factored in to whether you think that is a good selling price.

    Money factor = .00150
    Payment of $512 includes tax

I would ask for money factor .00120 and residual of 0.56 for 12K miles / year.

Do you recommend waiting till April to get the 2014 X3? Will there be better offer since they would also have the new 2015 model?

    Thank you!

    I am getting this deal on 2014 x3 28i
    Msrp: $50175
    Negotiated price: $46350
    Residual: 29603 (59%)

10k per year 32 months term
    Cash due at signing $4500
    $531 per mo inc tax(8.75%)
    Is this a good deal?
  • u4yeahu4yeah Member Posts: 5
Sorry negotiated price was $43650. $6500 off msrp.
  • kyfdxkyfdx Moderator Posts: 236,527

Seems like a great discount, but that 32 month term is sort of weird. You can get a 57% residual for 36 months, and it seems that would give you a lower payment. Is the lease through BMWFS? Just a wild guess, but are you in NY, and using an independent bank?

With that discount, you should be able to get that payment for 36mo, 10K/yr with only around $3000 due at signing (including tax).

Ah... a visa issue. Well, at least it makes sense, now. Still seem about $1500 too high.. Have you tried shopping this at another dealer? There should be plenty to choose from in CA.

I'm reading posts with lease deals that have significant money down parameters. I was from the school that you never put any money down in a lease deal. Thoughts?
