Dealers can mark up the money factor by .00050, for a total of .00051. I always insist on the base rate.

Thanks. So I see Mazda has a special lease deal on a CX-5 Touring FWD (12k/yr) for 1760 down, 265 month (plus tax, etc). The dealer is telling me if I want this 'special lease' deal I can't also combine additional current incentives such as $750 cash for currrent Mazda owners (I am) and $250 auto show cash bonus (both state towards purchase or lease). With the MF and residual you provided, I can probably negotiate that payment and then qualify/demand my additional inventives. Not sure how to proceed. Also, if they say where did you get the 0.0001 MF, what's my comeback?? Thanks as this is my first time lease...

I can't really comment on whether the incentives are compatible or not, because I don't know.

When I get asked questions like that (about the money factor), I just say, "Are you telling me that isn't accurate?" If they are willing to lie to you about that, you need another dealer.

This thread is super-useful! What about MF and residuals in NY on a 2014 AWD Grand Touring with Tech? AWD Touring with Bose & Tech?

On another note - a dealer told me the residuals would drop significantly given the introduction of the 2015s. Is that true?

Looks like they've already dropped a little for March.. It's possible..

Just picked up my new 2014 Mazda CX-5 AWD Touring with Bose and Moon-roof package. Got a very good deal on it from Wayne Mazda (NJ):

MSRP: $28,200

42 Month/10K year lease (through Mazda Capital/Chase)

$292 a month with zero down (just the first payment due at signing)

Best deal I ever got on a lease.

The salesperson's name is Stephen Zagoric. You can ask for him and mention my name (Radu). He'll get you a great deal.

We leased another vehicle through him a few months ago for my wife and also got a great price ($240 a month for a 2013 Mazda 3 Touring). Very easy to work with, gave us rock bottom prices from the get go.

Hi looking to lease a cx 5 touring no options, 15k mileage tomorrow ( los angels Ca0 what is the best price i should expect? how much is reasonable off the MSRP? are there any incentive i should factor into calculation? i do not intend to put any down, just tax and license at most

So happy I found this thread, appreciate all the great info!

With the residual on the 2015 so much higher than 2014 it seems like the new models might, in fact, be a better deal. Similar story with AWD, I don't think I need it but the residual might make it work worth it. It would be valuable to know MF and residual for Mass at 10k/36 months for each of the following, if possible:

(1) 2014 CX5 GT FWD;
(2) 2014 CX5 GT AWD;
(3) 2015 CX5 GT FWD;
(4) 2015 CX5 GT AWD

Wow, those payments seem high for 10K miles per year. These are all stickering in the high 20's and low 30's, right?

If I plug in an MSRP of $32,000 and a selling price of $31,000 with a 58% residual and .00006 MF, I get a pre-tax payment of $348.53.

Can you get the dealer to break down the numbers for you?
