This is about what I expected. Now all the control freaks and micro-managers will come out of the woodwork screaming "but how could the upper management not know?" Simple, the lower management chose not to tell them. It happens in huge companies all the time. Do you think the chairman of BP had the well pressure monitors connected to a display on his desk before the Gulf disaster.? No, of course he didn't. You have layers of people who are expected to do their jobs properly. Clearly, this failed at GM.
