they are quoting me .66 and .0013 MF
all the fees and tax are being put into the lease. this is a no money down deal. so the 775 +1935+300 = 3010 / 33 = $91.21 don't we add that to your 587.70? that brings it to
679 vs 682, which is close..... what am I missing. thanks!!!1

Your calculations are correct .. if you roll everything into the cap cost, you get close to the quote from the dealer.

Base MF and a good discount from sticker. The only way to make it better is to use MSDs to lower the MF.

This is the deal I gotten into for a new 2014 428i convertible. May be good or bad deal -- I cannot back out now, but any comment/ discussion should help potential buyers.

I just got a quote on a BMW 428i lease and want to know if you think its good deal or if there is more room in it. Here are the details
MSRP: $49050
36 month lease
15k miles
minimum drive off= approx $1000
Payment= $529 w/tax

Car is a pretty basic M sport with the tech package, and heated seats.

Appreciate any input.

Hard to tell .. the new BMW numbers came out today but we don't yet have them.

Base MF, which is good .. BMW hasn't really changed from the .00130 MF for a number of months.

Would still need to see the new RVs to make a qualified evaluation.

Looks like MF is 0.0013 again. Just got that quote back from a dealer that was quoting me base MF before.

That doesn't surprise me .. BMW doesn't often change their MF. It's the residuals I'm more interested in.

If you go to their site they have the Aug lease deals up. if you take the 335i or 435GC deals and decide the MSRP into the listed residual you get 36/10 = 63% residual for either of them. Same as July. I know that is not the same as the official Residual numbers, but it has been close in the past.

Do the 435i GC's come out of the dealer allocation if they are European Delivery? Were we able to confirm the new residual and MF for the 435i GC in 36/12 and 36/10?

My numbers are the same as the dealers - $727 with 9% tax. Base MF is being used, so that's a plus.

Only way to lower the payment is to get a better selling price or use MSDs to lower the MF.

I don't know how ED affects dealer allocation.

I get a pre-tax payment of $665/mo. If your tax rate is around 9%, then that is pretty close. they have a special 33 month lease this month with a residual of 63%, which would bring your lease payment down by about $15/mo. $1000 buildout cash on this model, so your price is just okay. Every $500 lower on the selling price knocks $15/mo. off the payment, as well.

Thank you, this helps a lot. This was through Cars Direct. I actually tried the internet sales department at a local dealer for comparison and they have quoted me $625 a month including taxes, with $2,500 down. Still 36 months, 15k a year. I haven't asked all of the other details yet, but will. Even so, too good to be true?

Some of the 2500 is going to driveoffs. The rest to reducing cap cost. It looks like it's about half and half.

He was telling me a little about their mileage program and that I can call and change it halfway through for .16 a mile as opposed to the .13 I buy it at and the .20 I'd pay at the end of the lease. Considering going 12 instead of 15.

It's $1130 for 9000 miles... if you take the 15K/yr vs. the 12K/yr. Those are cheap miles... If you think you'll do 13.5K-14K/yr, you should probably stick with the 15K/yr.

2nd option is 435i with MSRP of 62,375 and negotiated to 56,865. Got a quote for 36 months @ 10,000 miles a year with 2268 drive off and 668 a month.

3rd option is another 435i with MSRP of 59,175 and negotiated to 53,445. Got a quote for 36 months @ 10,000 miles a year with 2000 drive off at 623 a month.

Which one of these is the best value and how would you go about bringing down the price?

Tax rate is CA tax rate at 9%

No idea which one is the best value ... to you. I'm also not in the market for a 4-series so cannot comment on whether or not these are good selling prices. I assume that all of them include the available build out cash. You could use MSD to bring down the MF and your payment.

Use the shopping tools at the top of the page to determine invoice price of the cars in question; compare that to your selling price.

Tax rate is CA tax rate at 9%

Using the MSRP of $52,150 and the selling price of $49,150 along with the base MF of .00130 and residual of 60%, I get a pre-tax payment of $600.68.

Then the dealer is marking that up on you for extra profit. You should politely but firmly explain to them that you won't sign a deal with an inflated MF.

Msrp is 52150. selling price is 49,021. MF is .00130, residual value is 31,290 ( I think this number is wrong). for 36 months and 15k miles a year. residual factor is 60%. total drive off is 1,174.89. monthly payment is 673.74 with 8% tax. I still think this is off!

Something is off. The residual value is correct (60% of $52,150 is indeed $31,290).

However, when I plug everything in, I get a pre-tax payment of $596.93; 8% sales tax takes this to $644.69.

Unless .... you live in a state where the entire sales price is taxed up front (Illinois, Texas and Georgia do this). If so, then the payment will go up dramatically.

Ok, so I went back to the dealer. He said i need to factor the $925 acquisition fee in my calculations which would affect the monthly payment by about $28/month. Is this true? If so, the selling price was 49,021 and adding the 925 to that I am left with a total cap price of 49,946. would this come out to the 673.74/month payment then?
