  So how does it compare to the old 5-cylinder model?

  The joys of VW system and aftermarket mod support, its easy enough to add a ESC-Off button ($50) and some time. Body roll is tamed a ton with the install of a rear sway bar (30 min). Honestly should have come from the factory with a beefier sway bar.
