    When I collided with a Camry this winter (other driver's fault), the total bill was over $10k.

    I wish they could study how many wrecks are caused by stupidity, ignorance, and most importantly, lack of training. I've been in cars where the driver was doing some impresively stupid stuff (55 in a residential neighborhood, right as school lets out, for example). These drivers have absolutely no knowledge of things like the energy involved, how close they are to the cars limits, what happens when those limits are exceeded, and how much damage can be done. All they know is they can push the pedal harder, turn the wheel, and it has all worked (so far!!).
