    I had very similar impressions about the last generation of silverado. Compared to the pre-2008 models, it had very sharp steering. Almost too sharp; if you were calibrated for the donkey-slow steering ratio in older trucks, you'd nearly fling yourself out of your lane with the new one.

    The only problem with a good ride quality on a truck with an empty bed is that you're usually sacrificing payload capacity to achieve this. Its all about compromises...

    Beware the saggy rear end when loaded. I can't say I have driven a truck (1/2 ton) with what I could describe a bad suspension that was made 1990 or later. (I do have bad memories of a 88 Dodge that admittedly was openly abused by my supervisor at the time.)
    Of course I don't have a finely tuned butt-o-meter for judging comfort or ride between a truck and a BMW 7 series.
