Cool experience if a bmw is ordered. Dealer said if placed a bmw order, it can be picked up at the BMW factory in South Carolina. Includes a one night stay at a Marriott, 8am-3pm Museum/factory tour and a few rounds around the circuit in a bmw (could be M cars). Pick up and drop-off from the airport in a bmw as well.

Hi all, I'm new here. I'm not sure how the lease formula works. So hoping someone will help here.

I Got a offer from a leasing company in NY, not a dealer. 2015 x5 x35i with metallic white with beige leather and back up camera only. No other option. 10000/36 months for $675 and $3200 upfront.

Is this a good deal? Thx!!

    Not enough information ....

What are the MSRP and selling prices?

Is all of the $3200 going to fees, taxes, etc, or is some of it being used as a cap cost reduction.

Negotiate the selling price just like you would for a purchase, and we can help model a payment to ensure that the MF isn't being marked up on you.

MSRP is $57900. They Didn't mention the selling price.

    Yes $3200 included tax,fee...everything.

My question is the dealer would request 4k-5k down payment plus tax,and fee...

But this leasing company only needs $3200 upfront. Is it too good to be true?

    Thanks.

We would need to know the selling price in order to model the payment using the base MF and residual.

We don't recommend putting any money down on a lease - the only up front costs are the first payment, fees and taxes.

I don't know what any of those initials stand for... .but...

    1) Selling price
    2) money factor (if marked up from the base rate)
    3) acquisition fee (if marked up from base of $725)
    4) Any bogus, BS fee, or any dealer accessories

The MSRP is fixed, as is the residual..

X5's are expensive to lease, as they are very popular.

The base MF is .00129 and the 36 month, 10,000 mile per year residual is 59%.

The base acquisition fee is $725; we do not recommend putting any money down (other than up front taxes, fees, etc.).

Use the pricing tools at the top of the page to help determine the best selling price, then make that offer (or whatever you are comfortable with) to the dealer. We can help model a payment once we know what the selling price is.

    .00129 MF and 59% for 36mo, 10K/yr. BMW doesn't offer a 7.5K/yr program.

42 month residual is 5% lower.

Are there still 2014 rates 36/10k for X5 xdrive? I also read on a BMW forum that they were bumped 2% this past Saturday, October 25. Is that true?

    .00129 MF and 58% residual.

While mid-month updates are always possible, it wouldn't make much sense for BMW to alter the residual. Mid-month incentives are usually in the form of dealer/lease cash.

Either way, it's doubtful we would hear about it.. The current program runs through Friday.

    Hi,

Looking at a 2015 X5 with MSRP of $67,925 Dealer came back with the following:

Selling Price - $65,925 ($2k less than MSRP)
    - $4k due at signing (not inclusive of TT&L)
    - 36mo; 12k mile/yr lease
    - 58% residual
    - .00169 Money Factor
    - $946/mo payment

    Questions are:
Is this a good deal? I see a base MF on this forum of .00129, but the dealer states that pertains to the lender and that the dealership has to raise it to .00169. Not sure if that is them trying to increase profit and/or if I am able to negotiate this?

Also, I have a trade in that he quoted a fair market value on. Vehicle worth $18k with $3k still due on lease. I told them that we could apply $4k of the remaining trade in value to what is due at signing which would leave me with $11k in cash. Guessing I should take this and not apply the remaining trade in value towards the lease?

    Thanks for your help!

    Lots going on here ...

Dealer is inflating the MF for extra profit. Ask for the .00129 MF and find a different dealer if they are unwilling to negotiate.

Not sure that you have $15K of equity in your lease .. head over to the "Real World Trade in Values" discussion for an honest appraisal, and call your current lease finance company to get a buyout value.

If you have $3K in unmade payments, you still have to deal with the residual value of the car as well. This may eat up any equity you may have.

With the MSRP and selling price you've provided, and using the base MF of .00129 and the 58% residual, I calculate a pre-tax payment of $872.77/mo for 36 months.

    Any ideas from the community?

I saw the 2015 X5 lease specials for November on the BMWUSA web site; x5 35i @ 36/10, it has an MSRP of $61,450 and a residual value of $36,256 (59%) assuming the MF is .00129 and a stated down payment of $3500 - there is no way that I calculate $669 a month - I get +/- $724. Unless there is an error on the web site, $669 would indicate that there are other incentives, lower MF, or higher residual around 62%/63%
    -
While I have not yet looked at the other series, all the X5 seem to have this variance of ~$75 which equates to 3-4 points on the residual.

    Any thoughts?

There is a dealer contribution (aka discount from MSRP) included in the national lease deal.

Hey Michael, thanks. Do you have further insights or details into the contribution value you mentioned? Mathematically, it will appear to be ~$2K. However, the value or required dealer contribution is not disclosed on the manufacturer's web site, perhaps the laws may have recently changed? I have rarely seen such a high dealer contribution on an initial model - appreciate any additional insights.

Hi, do you have the november MF and residual for a 2015 xDrive35i for both 36 and 39 months?

    Thank you in advance!

39 months is the sweet spot this month. .00130 and 59% for 39/10.
Thanks Michaell, however it looks like dealers are saying there is no 39mo program for the X5. I saw your post on the other forum stating you were having the case of the Mondays! =)

Do you have confirmed 36 month numbers for the 35i? I have an order from October and am taking delivery soon so I was hoping for some holiday improvement. Thanks!

The numbers I quoted above are for the 36 month, 10K miles per year program.

.00130 MF and 59% for all but the sDrive; add 1% for that model.

I also have an order I did late October on a 2015 xDrive35i. I sent my dealer a request to quote the 39mo/10K rate and they did not have a 39mo program. Frankly I trust the posts on this forum feed. They have not been wrong. The dealer was telling me the program for Nov/Dec would be the same and that BMW was going to be aggressive to beat out Mercedes this year. Is there any incentive money on the X5? Also I'm guessing we are pretty positive this 39/mo residual and money factor is correct?

    .00130 MF and 59% residual for 36 month, 10K/yr.

There is no 39 month program for the X5. We had limited information over the weekend.

Does anyone have MF and RV for 2015 BMW X5 x35i? I see the national deal changed off of BMW.com offers from 699 to 669. All numbers are same on site (MSRP, Terms, and RV)

    .00130 and 56% for 36/15.

The national deal assumes both money down (which we don't recommend) and a dealer contribution (aka discount from sticker).

I'm on the market for 2014/2015 x5i/x5d. Anyone can share possible discount from the MSRP on x5i/x5d?
Car I'm looking to get is about 63K. Dealers are promising to match the true car offer of 68K ($5000 below) Has anyone gotten better deals?

Should I wait for December deals/Holiday cash etc?

5-7% off sticker would be a good target. X5 is one of the best selling cars on the market - as in, very limited supply - so great deals are hard to find. Might have to settle for a good deal.
