"Your car is not the first we've seen with this problem recently."

"Your car is not the first we've seen with this problem recently. Some of the other cars stopped running when they got the warning light. It's good that didn't happen to yours."

"Mini issued a software update last week that might fix your problem,"

    that's confidence inspiring.

"It's good that didn't happen to yours."

new tagline "Mini- it could have been worse"

If I were the owner I would not be happy that I could not get some sort of explanation what the code meant and with a fix that may or may not fix a problem that strandded other drivers.

Not impressive. Even if nothing had gone wrong with it, not a lot of car for the money - just a stupid number of option packages ladled onto an underachieving basic platform.
