    Stylish, yes. However, not so sure how well it'll work in a snowy climate (ice and snow often accumulates at the base of rear window wiper supports!).

    This is not a unique hatch release but rather a unique placement of a common type of release. A unique hatch release would be more like the one found on some Ford and Lincoln vehicles where you kick your foot under the rear bumper to make the hatch go up and down.

    What, are you supposed to snap off the windshield wiper and carry it in your pocket like a key fob when you park outside?

    Ford was not the first to do equip some cars with that technology. BMW was definitely the innovator there.

    I mean it's splitting hairs because they debuted a few months apart. Not a BMW fanboy, just happen to know that's the truth.
