I'm working a quote for a 2015 A6 3.0 Premium Plus lease and the dealer is telling me the MF is .00077 not .00037 as I see posted in this forum. I asked and he said that the buy rate on the MF is .00037 and the sell rate is .00077. It seemed from checking this board that people are calculating payments using .00037. Is the dealer just trying to drive extra profit from me?

Yes. Politely but firmly explain that you won't sign a deal with an inflated MF.

And, start working with another Audi dealer. Competition will only help you get what you want.

FYI I was told by the dealer yesterday that special orders for 2015 A6's are no longer possible. Only picks from inventory around the area - because of the 2016 redesign.

Please quote RV and MF for 2015 A6 Premium Plus Quattro, for 2.0T and 3.0T and 24/30/36 months @ 10K miles.
Is there an option for 8K miles? If so, please quote that too. I drive about 6K-7K per year. Thank You.

    3.0T - .00037 and 62% / 58% / 55%

Audi does offer a 7500 mile per year lease. Add 1% to the 10K numbers quoted above.

Confirm .00063 and 56% for 36/10. Add 1% to the residual if AudiCare is purchased.

Hi, can you please review the quote?

RV is 55% and MF was .00067. My credit score is 720+, is there any reason why I can't get .00037 apart from the dealer looking for profit?

Also, in the dealer quote below the MF is looking more like .00076 if I calculated the tax correctly as 9.5% for Zip 98101

Does it make sense to pay all fees upfront and use $2.5k towards CAP reduction or have $0 upfront costs?

    Thanks a lot!

So.. there is a $2500 rebate that is paying your first payment and fees, with the excess reducing your cap cost by $1104.18? So, you actually have $0 due at signing?

With a CAP cost of $57,461 (selling price minus the $1104), I get a payment of $721/mo. + tax. That's very close to what you have. I don't see any allowance for the acquisition fee, though.

Yes.. no reason you shouldn't qualify for .00037. It appears that the dealer is marking up the rate on you.. That adds about $30/mo. (post tax) to your payment.

Paying the $1395 upfront, and putting the full rebate as CAP reduction drops the payment by $40/mo.plus tax.. but, it's a wash.. just depends on what you want to do.

I asked for a quote with $0 down. Just to confirm, did you use MF .00067 to verify payments on the dealer quote? What is a typical acquisition fee I can expect?

    Thanks again.

Hi, Please quote the current MF & Residual for an A6 2.0 Premium Plus and a 3.0 Premium Plus for 36/12 and 42/12.

Is conquest cash typically added to out of pocket/cap cost reduction or can it also be applied to the selling price. Thanks!

2.0 PP Quattro: .00063 MF and 55% residual. .00083 MF and 51% residual
    3.0PP Quattro: .00037 MF and 54% residual. .00057 MF and 50% residual

I think with Audi, the conquest cash has to be used as a cap cost reduction (which means you'll pay tax on it).

The PA dealer seems to be offering best deal I have seen so far! What City?

Residuals are set by the bank and can be adjusted monthly; the dealer has no ability to modify those values.

If the 2016's are imminent, then wait a month to see if Audi sweetens the pot with better MF and residual values on the outgoing model to help move them off the lots.

    Hi...a few questions, please.
    1. I'm considering doing European Delivery because it is supposed to be an awesome experience and can also have a lower total price.
    a. Is the $800+ destination charge (or any other charges) waived for doing European Delivery?
    b. If doing European Delivery, do you have any negotiation room? I've heard the dealer isn't necessarily credited with the sale (Audi of America is?) so it's not really in their interest to win your business.
    c. If leasing and doing European Delivery, I've heard that your lease payments kick in when you receive the car in Germany...not when it arrives in the US. That would mean about 2 months of payments while the car is in transit and not in your possession. Seems dumb to pay for leasing a car you can't drive. Please confirm?

    2. What calculator do you recommend to compute payments based on the MF, RV, etc. that you are providing here?
    Thanks!

I'm not at all familiar with the Audi ED experience.. but, I might have some general information.

    a) Destination charge will still apply.. after all, they are taking the car back and shipping it to the US dealer.
    b) Some ED prices are set... others are negotiable.. Not sure which camp Audi falls in.
    c) Yes, you'll probably be out a couple of payments, if leasing..

    We use a simple spreadsheet..

I am trying to decide on whether to lease an A6 or GS350. Both nice cars for different reasons. I am trying to determine which, if any will have possible equity at the end of the lease. Assuming I am not putting any money down, everything I have read would seem to indicate that Audis have poor residuals but at the end, you may have some positive equity. By contrast, Lexus has higher residuals, so you pay the loan down faster and generally wont have equity. One results in a higher payment now, but possible equity, while the other is lower payment but most likely, no or little equity.

Assume I get a smoking deal on either car. Any thoughts?

The idea is that the bank sets the residual value so that the true value at the end of the lease matches the expected value. Each car is treated different, driven different amount of miles, cared for differently, so it's hard to make a general statement about which car will have a better 'true' value after 36 months.

Perhaps if you explain why having positive equity is so important to you. I'm thinking that if I'm leasing a $50K car, I'd want the one that gives me the most pleasure to drive, not the one that's the best financial value.

As you pointed out, both are very nice cars, but for very different reasons.

That is of course the most important -- enjoyment of the drive. For me, I tend to get bored with cars after a couple of years, so a like the idea of a rip cord if I want a change, without taking a bath. I have leased MBZ, for example, and unless you take advantage of a pull ahead program and into another MBZ, you are stuck in the lease for the duration. Lexus, on the other hand, holds its value pretty well, so if you want out, and take it to CarMax for example, you might be able to recapture some of your drive off $. Lexus typically yields a much lower payment given their high residuals, so it can be a win win. With Audi, on the other hand, you are paying down the balance quicker and if they hold their value, you might have some positive cash as well.

Isn't it a big plus to be able to have a new car every couple or so years without eating all of those acquisition and disposition fees, if possible?

You might want to check out the "Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous" discussion here at Edmunds. Lots of folks trading in and out of cars on a regular basis. You might like what you find there.

And, after years of hanging out with those folks, I've learned that if you want to switch cars frequently, your best bet is to buy used. Or be filthy rich.

Looking to jump into the Audi pool for the first time. This forum has been a huge help already.

Looking to lease an A6 2.0T Premium Plus in Southern California. 36 (or possibly 39) months / 10K miles per year.

Any improvements in rates since the 2016's are now on the lot?

    Thanks much

Looking to jump into the Audi pool for the first time. This forum has been a huge help already.

Looking to lease an A6 2.0T Premium Plus in Southern California. 36 (or possibly 39) months / 10K miles per year.

Any improvements in rates since the 2016's are now on the lot?

    Thanks much

    FWD or Quattro?

Hi! Not sure how many 2015s are out there, but 24/15k for a 2.0T FWD A6? Southeast or TN region. Thanks!

Money factor is marked up from base MF of .00067.

You don't mention the payment, but I get $554/mo. with their money factor. $22/mo. less with the base money factor.
