close to inking a deal, here are the figures.

    36 month/ 15k miles
    MSRP: $55,405
    Negotiated/Capitalized cost: ?
    Money Factor: .00098
    Residual: 57%
Due at signing is 1st payment and $65(transfer plates)
Live in NY. Taxes, bank fee all rolled into lease payment
Dealer is picking up 3 payments from current lease which totals $1,500
    Monthly: $739

    Thoughts on deal?
If I were to not roll in $1,500 from current lease, what should i expect?

I show the residual for the 2015 S4 Premium Plus to be 55% for 36mo, 15K/yr. You sure they aren't quoting 12K/yr?

Subtracting $1500 lowers the payment by about $42/mo.+tax.

Pls advise on what my best expected deal should be on a 2015 S4 with a $57,275 msrp for 36 months with 10k/year and NYC taxes included.
Currently quoted $660/mo with 1st month waived and with bank and plates upfront.

    Thank you.

What is the selling price? Not enough information yet to comment.

.00098 MF and 58% for 36/10 on the S4 Premium Plus.

With the MSRP and selling price you've provided, along with the base MF of .00098 and residual of 58%, I calculate a pre-tax payment of $573.90/mo for 36 months.

Looks like the $660/mo is a bit high, by comparison. Taxes should add another $40-45 to the payment, so $610-620/mo.

    Michael,

Was hoping you can tell me what you think of this deal I have teed up on a 2015 Audi S4 PremPlus

    36 month/ 15k miles
    MSRP: $55,405
    Negotiated/Capitalized cost: $51,193
    Money Factor: .00098
    Residual: 55%

Live in NY. Taxes, bank fee all rolled into lease payment
Dealer is picking up 3 payments from current lease which totals $1,500
    Monthly: $739

I'm receiving an incentive of $1,000. Audi also had an "up to $800 first month payment pickup" that I'm being told they are applying but I'm not sure how since I am paying the first months payment...
Can you please advise? Greatly appreciated.

Are you taking any more rebates off the price? Why am I getting quoted that much more?

Leaving out the taxes and the remaining lease payments being "picked up", your numbers work out to a payment of $655.59/mo for 36 months.

Tax will add about $45/mo, and the $1500, I suspect, is being added into your cap cost, adding another $40/mo - voila! $740/mo.

Looking to get feedback on my 2015 S4 lease quote:

MSRP 56,620 incl Dest,Technology, and Black Optic Pkg
    Discount: 5250 (9.27%)
Rebate: 1520 (includes 1000 conquest rebate and first month pmt rebate of 520)
    Adjusted price 49,850
    Audi Care 860
    Total Cap Cost 50,710

    Cash upfront (advertised lease special):
    - 2799 cap cost reduction
    - 695 acquisition fee
    - 399 doc fee
    - 300 tax (state of SC caps auto sales tax at 300)
    - 58 tag and title
    - 4,251 total cash upfront

    MF .00098
    .58 Residual
    Final Lease Pmt: 520/mo lease 36 mos/10k

I couldn't make this work in a lease pmt calculator. I can only assume they are not providing the correct money factor. With that money factor I get a payment amount of 497.79

Let me know if any one has feedback!

Is it possible the Audicare is what is throwing me off? Should that be added to the final negotiated price ?

Okay, so that dealer was using the wrong money factor or something but refused to be transparent. I located another dealer within 100 miles with the same S4 with Technology Package ($2,900) and High Gloss Black Package ($1,300) that agreed to this deal below so I am picking it up Monday.

$2975 total due at signing @ $534 per month (MSRP $56,365) allowing 10,000 miles per year, and including Audi Care. .59 Residual and .00098 MF. I calculated the deal and sent it to the dealer so I am sure this is right.

    Cash upfront (advertised lease special):
    - 1523 cap cost reduction
    - 695 acquisition fee
    - 399 doc fee
    - 300 tax (state of SC caps auto sales tax at 300)
    - 58 tag and title
    - 2,975 total cash upfront

Pretty happy with this deal. Would have been roughly 577 with no cap cost reduction, but I wanted the lower payment.

This car is a beast - can't wait!

The base money factor is .00098, so they are marking it up a huge amount.

Also, I wouldn't put $6650 of trade equity down on a lease... have them cut you a check for it, and take the higher payment.

But, mostly... .work on that money factor.

I'm also super-glad I found this thread! Just started entering into e-mail lease negotiations with a few dealers for a 2015 S4 Premium Plus.

From my research, I've been learning that the three most important numerical factors to focus on are: capitalized cost, money factor, and residual value. Based on this I have two questions:

    - Is 0.00098 the best money factor that one could obtain, or can that be negotiated down? Is this even considered a "good" rate, or should that simply be standard from any Audi dealer?
    - Is residual value negotiable?

My thinking is, if I can get 0.00098 and the residual value is non-negotiable, then the only thing left to negotiate is capitalized cost...

.00098 is the base MF and cannot be negotiated lower. Your best chance at getting a great lease payment is to work the cap cost as low as possible. Perhaps 5-6% below MSRP.

Residual is set by Audi FS and cannot be modified.

Thank you, Michaell - such great information and a quick response!

I was quoted a residual value of 57% (MSRP is $59,320) for 12,000 miles a year. Is that accurate? I'm also being offered approximately a 6.32% discount from MSRP, but will try and get it down a little bit more.

Also, does changing the miles driven per year only affect the residual value? That is, it shouldn't affect the money factor or the capitalized cost, correct?

I confirm 57% residual for 36/12 on the 2015 S4 Premium Plus. Add 1% to the residual for 10K, subtract 2% for 15K. Yes, only the residual is affected if the miles change.

You can purchase AudiCare to cover the regular maintenance; this adds 1% to the residual.

Alright, so I'm being offered the following deal for a 2015 S4 Premium Plus with technology package, high-gloss black package, B&O audio, sport differential, fine nappa leather, and carbon atlas inlays:
    • Capitalized cost: $52,623.99
    • Capitalized cost reduction (manufacturer rebate): $625
    • Money factor: 0.00098
    • Residual value: 58% (36 months/10K miles)
    • State DMV fee: $473
    • State tire fee: $8.75
    • Acquisition fee: $695
    • Dealer document fee: $80
    • License/registration fee: $481.75
    • Sales tax on rebate, acquisition fee, and document fee: $126
    • First monthly payment: $625
    • Customer cash: $2007.75
    • Total Driveoff: $2632.75
    • Monthly payment: $625 = $573.39 base + $51.61 tax
How does this look? Also, I don't understand how customer cash and total-drive off are calculated, and why I'm being charged the first monthly payment if the manufacturer rebate (Season of Audi?) is supposed to take care of that?

    Thanks.

    MSRP is $59,320.

Also, the dealer just gave me a similar configuration, but with AudiCare. With AudiCare, the total capitalized cost goes up by $890 to $53,513.99, residual up to 59%, and total monthly payment $635.56.

AudiCare is usually a good deal, given the cost of Audi maintenance from the dealer.

Looks like the "customer rebate" is the first months payment. My calcs show a pre-tax payment of $605.17; your quote looks prettty good by comparison.

Haha, okay fair enough. Let me rephrase: To me, based on what I've seen others post in this thread and other research I've done, this seems like a relatively great deal numbers-wise. Would you agree?

So glad I found this thread! If someone could comment on the quality of the below deal, I'd greatly appreciate it. This is for a 36-month lease/10K miles in California w/ $0 drive-off.

    Selling Price: $53300.00
    Doc Fee: $80.00
    Acquisition: $695.00
    AudiCare: $920.00
    License Fee: $437.00
    Gross CAP: $55432.00

    Rebate: $724.00 (Season of Audi?)
    Residual: $34618.25 (0.59)
    MF: 0.00098 (I think. Screen shot says 0.98 Rate/MF)

    Thanks for any feedback!

    2015 S4 Premium Plus?

    9% off MSRP
    Base acq.fee
    Base money factor

    Calculations are exact.
The rebate is the complimentary 1st payment

Looks live a very, very good deal, given the lease program available.
Yup! 2015 S4 Premium Plus. There may also be a $1000 Conquest Rebate in there from Audi for households that have a BMW, MB, or Lexus. There's a $1500 rebate for previous Audi owners, as well, but we don't have one.

I'm also in negotiations in regards to a 2015 S4. The numbers that I am getting right now are as follows:

    MSRP $55,570

    Selling price $52,998

    Cash Down $5000

    Term 36 months

    MPY 10k

    Residual $32,230

    Money Factor .00078

    Payment $643/month

I'm pretty sure that was a typo on the money factor. Also keep in mind that Texas has a 6.5% sales tax and it has to be paid on the entire sales cost of the car, even on a lease. The sales tax, all associated fees, and the first month's payment are rolled into the $5k cash down.

Is there anywhere I can negotiate to get this down some more? Thanks.

The base MF for the S4 was .00098 in December, but I've heard that the Audi numbers have been extended until 1/8/15.

However, using your numbers (including the .00078 MF), I get a payment of $643.35/mo, so spot on with your quote.

Only way to lower the payment is to negotiate a lower selling price, or put more money down (which we don't recommend).

Do we know what the money factor is for January 2015? Also if the conquest money is still available?

I was quoted .00144 for a money factor for a 42 month lease.....Seems high based on the previous posts.

    Thank you!

    Negotiate a lower price!

I started with a MSRP of $56,365 and ended up with a selling price of $50.879. My local dealer could not get me there so I went to North Carolina to find a dealer that could and fortunately they had one equipped the same.

Final payment was 534/mo for 36 months at 10,000 miles/yr. My total cash at close was 2975 which included first months payment, tax, title, tag and $2877 cap cost reduction per lease docs. That doesn't make sense unless they put the rebates towards cap cost reduction which they must have since the lease docs showed $4,509 cash at close and I paid $2975 that included first months payment.

Make sure to get the Audi Care in your lease! It increases residual from 58% to 59% so the $860 fee is substantially offset. My deal above includes AudiCare. I see people posting payments of 650 to 750 on the same car and it just doesn't make sense.

BTW, the launch control with the automated manual is an extra special bonus that I didn't know about until after I purchased the vehicle. What a thrill to go 0-60 in 4.4 seconds! 1 month in and I love every minute in this car!
