How much of the down is going to cap cost reduction, and how much to up front fees, taxes, etc?

I get an MSRP of $43,678, so you're getting about $4K off sticker. Seems good.

Base MF is being used, which is also good.

The lousy residual is hurting your payment, but there isn't much you can do about that other than pick a car with a better RV.

I know this thread is for the '14 Pathfinder, but do we know anything yet about lease offers for the 2015 models? Specifically an AWD SL Tech Package for 36-39mos with 15k/18k mi, Denver or Omaha areas?

We don't yet have any lease information on the 2015 Pathfinder - perhaps in November.

For the crowd you & I hang out in, yes. There is actually NO good reason to get rid of our Pilot. I just need to keep telling myself: "only 18 months left until it s paid off." I also need to stay away from car dealerships;)

I'll stick with the Pilot. That 48% Residual is a killer. I understand that it is November & the 2015s are already on the lot. Using an MSRP of $42,435 and a Cap Cost of $37,021 (Invoice minus $2,550 incentives), I get a pre tax payment of $464.28. Add $29.48 in monthly sales tax (6.35%) and I get a grand total of: $493.76.

Total payments would equal $17,775.36 plus $1,300 or so in Acquisition/Disposition Fees plus new plates. My car tax bill would go up too.

I've got $12,215.88 left in Pilot payments. So, let's keep it around:)

I just did a quick comparo on the Nissan website between the Pathfinder & My Pilot. The Pathfinder is longer (197.2" vs 191.4") than the Pilot. It also has a longer wheelbase (114.2" vs 109.2"). The Pilot is wider (78.5" vs 77.2") and taller (72.4" vs 69.6"). The thing that makes our Pilot such a great SUV are its generously sized cargo capacity of 87 cubic feet (due to its boxy styling) which it trumps the Pathfinder's 79.8" and its usable 3rd row (30.7 for the Pathfinder vs 32.1 for the Pilot).

Hmmmm, dealer messing around? 2014 Pathfinder SL Premium 4WD (Indiana). 36mo/10k, (I had 51% residual and .00003 money factor). They are telling me Nissan doesn't do 10k lease so 36mo/12k is 48% residual (same money factor). Am I missing something?

I was looking at the nissan pathfinder to replace my current lease in December. Based on the residual value I am going to look at other vehicles. There is so much the dealer can do on the adjusted cap cost to offset the poor residual. The money factor is great paying only $1.20-$1.50 a month for the finance charge.

Hi guys, have a cash quote on a '15 4x4 SL tech with MSRP 41,895. Dealer says 36,895 plus 199 doc fee. Is 5k below sticker good here? What kind of MF/Rv/payment should I target for 18k, 36-39, 0 down?

Nissan doesn't offer a true 18K/yr lease... The extra 9000 miles will have to be paid for on a per/mile basis. Either upfront, or through a residual reduction.

I don't have the details on those charges.

less $500 holiday cash
$700 Lease cash
Net Selling price of $35150.

This was about $750 less than any other dealer we spoke to in the area and TrueCar including the $500 only was $36844 in our area.

We were able to get all the great safety features and bells and whistles we were looking for (nav, blind spot, cross traffic, etc) as well as some added space/flexibility for our family of 5.

Oh - and we have the $1,000 from the edmunds promo coming too!

We traded our 2012 Toyota Highlander coming off lease and planned to use that for tax and tags. We got a great trade value but we could not get cash back so it became cap cost reduction beyond tax, tag etc. So the end result was $374. With out that additional on the trade, it would have been $396, not incl tax & tags.

Residual value is fixed by NMAC and cannot be modified. Only two variables in a lease are the selling price and the money factor.

Is this a 4WD Pathfinder? What made you choose the Pathfinder over another Highlander? More space? Or you just wanted something different?

I'm still negotiating on a '15 Pathfinder with SL Tech, I'm finding the inventory is really limited which seems to be making this pretty difficult. Does anyone know, is the lease cash/holiday cash regional, or is it national?

We just leased a brand new 2014 Nissan Pathfinder S 2x4 SUV this week. for $30,280 with good credit we were able to put down $2,000 down payment/$315 monthly payment including tax for 36 months. Bumper to bumper warranty. We wonder if this is a good deal or not? We are seeing a lot of lease specials for around $225. Could we have gotten better deal?

Also what's this Edmunds promo for $1,000 that some people are getting?

All over the board on leases here. Got hosed by a KIA dealer. I'm now looking for the residual & MF on a 2015 Pathfinder S 2 wheel dr 36, 39 month lease for 15k a year in SW Florida. Thanks in advance. 2014 would be ok if they are offering a better lease.
