I took our 2015 Kia K900 to the dealer a few hundred miles late for its first service after returning from a holiday road trip to Oregon.

Wow- A service center that identifies themselves as a Suzuki and Isuzu specialist? What part of the country are you in?

Also- Did you have them look at the brakes after the cruise control issue?

That's a service center? If KIA wants you to spend that much money on one of their cars, they should probably step up their service locations and not have them in a strip mall, right next door to the cell phone retailer and hydroponics outlet.

Santa Ana, California. The Kia Depot (presumably so-named because the Santa Ana Amtrak station is a couple of blocks away) is a Kia dealership and a service center for Kias and two previous brands sold here. Hopefully the third time's the charm for the owners.

It's actually a very good location as far as I-5 freeway access goes. And they're right in the middle of Orange County, too.

They were in the midst of a renovation, but it didn't look as extensive as I'd have expected considering how well Kias seem to sell. As for the Aaron's truck, it's an Isuzu in for service, not a next-door neighbor business. Still, the K900 did look more than a little out of place here. Though clean, the waiting room was about as far as you could get from a Lexus experience.

It needs to be remembered that this car is a loaner and that the dealer has never seen a K900 before because, like most Kia dealers, they don't sell them. Most people taking their K900 in would be taking it to the selling dealer that DOES sell them and therefore has the necessary upgrades. Some obviously wouldn't have a selling dealer close by, at least not every time service is needed. But that's true for Lexus, too. Lexus owners may at some times be faced with going to a Toyota dealer without all the fancy stuff their selling dealer has.
