2015 Ford Escape Prices Paid and Buying Experience

I'm really surprised the Escape is one of the best selling SUV's in the USA and almost nobody inquires or posts their deal. I leased one the other day so I thought I'd go ahead and share it.

2015 Escape SE 27150 MSRP, leased for $262/mo with 1500 out of pocket in Phoenix AZ. 36mo/12k miles

Thanks for posting and yeah, seems like the CR-V tire-kickers are always trying to make sure they are getting a good deal. Not so much the competition, like the Escape or the CX-5 either.

    Congrats on the new ride!

Looking for advice on a Ford Escape Titanium FWD

Looking at a MSRP of $30,480

I am not sure how much I can negotiate off sticker I am hoping to get the car for around 26-27k. Car is located in Hawaii.

Looking at 12k/36 month lease. What is the current MF/residual?

    Thanks!

1.25% MF for 36 months, $1750 lease cash.

36/10.5 residual for both FWD and AWD are 56%.

I am not certain how the incentives stack, but I think you can add the conquest cash to the lease cash.

Just a comment about the 2014/15 Ford Escape. Test drove an AWD 2.0 Turbo and wow! What a fun vehicle to drive. Solid, agile, plenty of power to move you for sure. My wife wants to wait another year, her 2010 Escape runs great, still in good shape so she is in no hurry to trade in.

2015 escape 4wd titanium - are there any rebates and or apr deals for a cash sale at this time in Delaware

You can check Escape incentives here. Usually those are nationwide but not always, so go ahead and stick your own zip code in when you check my link.

I'm seeing a lot of "hood money" ($1,500+) and lots of zero percent financing if you decide not to pay cash.

I confirm the 1.25% MF but the 36/15 residual is 53%; 60% is for 24 month terms.

Using the 53% residual with your MSRP and selling price, I get a pre-tax payment of $333.20. What state is this? I find it hard to get to $393 from $333.

Michaell, also how do you factor the MF into the equation? I'm used to seeing a MF with a .00030 or something like that. When I tried to multiply by 1.25 I'm getting some really out of whack numbers....

    Thanks!

    New deal...

Just wanted to get everyone's input.

    Looking at a 36mo/15k lease.

    2015 Escape Titanium 2.0 FWD
    Equip Group 301A
    Moonroof
    Nav
    19" Wheels
    Roof cross bars
    Tonneau cover

    MSRP $36,600
    Net Cap Cost $31,280 (w/ $1000 down)
    Money Factor: 1.25
    Residual: 53%

Coming up with a lease payment of $388/mo including 8% sales tax.

$500 down my payment is $398 and no money down I'm looking at a payment of over $400 which is out of my budget.

I'm getting reports people are paying a lot lower and no money down. Can anyone attest to this?

A reporter would like to speak to a new car buyer who is happy with their longer-term loan because of the lower monthly payments. If you were able to get into a new car because a 72- or 84- month loan made the payments easier to swallow, and you would like to share your story, please send your daytime contact info to PR@edmunds.com no later than Friday, February 27, 2015 at noon PT/3 p.m. ET.

With Ford, it's not actually a money factor but an APR. It is used to calculate the finance portion of the lease payment.

Most other banks use a decimal money factor, to simplify the calculation. To get the equivalent money factor for Ford Credit's APR, divide by 2400.

Saw another dealer today in sw fl and they also said .75% money factor and 55% for residual on 2015 ford escape SE with upgraded engine 2.0 ecoboost. They gave me a paper with the following info on it:
    MSRP 27,875
    cap cost 25,560.52
tradein - $500 (old van with broken ac)
    doc fee 699
    fees 364.50
    tax 7% 869.83
    rebate -3025
    total 23,968.85
    lease payment with zero down between 280-295; 1,000 down bw 249-264; 2,000 down bw 219-234;

I followed article on edumunds on how to calcuate lease payment and my calcuations don't match the dealers. First I used 23968.85 as the net capitalized cost and came up with monthly payment around $252 with zero down; Then I though maybe I am not suppose to add in the doc fee, fee, and taxes to the net cap cost so I tried using net capitalzed cost of 22035.52 (cap cost-rebates) and that gave me a monthly payment of $197 for zero down. I am so confused. Can anyone help guide me in why my calculations are much lower than the dealer calculations for monthly payments.

Using $23,939 as the net cap, I get a pre-tax payment of $252.12 with $0 down.

I would ask the dealer what the "net cap cost" is .. my guess is that some of the $3000 in rebates is being used to cover your up front costs (tax, doc fee, etc.).
