2015 F-150 Lease Questions

It appears they now have leaseing numbers for the 2105 F150 when you build one on the site. Is it possible to get those numbers?

Specifically:

Lariat, 4x4' supercab and crewcab. 16,500 miles @ 3 years.

Thanks for replying! How can I found out when they are released? Is this something you monitor? I don't want to bug you too much :-)

The numbers are out there.. it's just that we don't have them. We don't really control the flow of information, we just receive it, when we get it.

    2.25% APR for the SuperCab
    3.50% APR for the CrewCab

    Never did get the residuals..

New program comes out on Tuesday... hopefully, we'll have numbers shortly after that.

i am trying to figure out the "Rent charge" on a 2 year lease 10,500 miles per year
    California tax 9%

    2015 lariat f150, MSRP 56210, Negotiated down to 50020 + 645 acquisition fee

On the deal details it says 1,728 rent charge.

The Money factor is 2% and residual is 67% = 37660

    Does the 1728 make sense?

The rent charge is the total amount of finance charges for the lease term.. $1728/24 = $72/mo.

    ($50665 + 37660) X .00083 MF = $73.60..

I converted the APR to a money factor for calculation purposes... it's not an exact conversion.... but, it looks pretty close...

You don't pay that $1728 separately... it's in the monthly lease payment.

Thank you, so how does that deal looks??

I am in california 9% tax
2015 lariat 4x2 supercrew with lots of options
    MSRP 55015+Destination 1195 =56,210
    Ford built-in discount -2000 = 54210
    Final negotiated price = 50020
    gross cap cost = 50020+Acquisition fee 645 =50665
    2 year lease with 10,500 miles per year, Residual 67% = 37660 (56210-33%)
APR or money factor 2% or 0.000833

    Reg fee = 487
    Ca tire fee = 8.75
    upfront tax= 124.84
    doc fees= 80
other fees= 56.2 (electronic filing, smog fee, doc tax)

I really don't have any knowledge on selling prices for F-150s.. If you think the selling price is good, then everything else looks good.

But, 36 month residuals are only 5% less... Seems like you could save a lot by going for the longer term. Even with the higher money factor, would probably save $50/mo.

Yes, payments are lower for 36 months but i don't want to be tied up for 3 years on that truck. Thank you so much for taking the time to review my deal, on my way to sign ;)

Quick question. When calculating the MRSP, my truck has a final MRSP of $51025 that includes a $750 package discount. So before the package discount the total MRSP is $51775. When dealer calculates my lease he is using the $51775 and not the final $51025. Should he not be using the FINAL MRSP? The discount is within the sticker, IE not a rebate.

You want the dealer to use the higher MSRP... because the only thing that the MSRP is used for is calculating the residual. Higher MSRP = Higher residual = lower depreciation = lower lease payment.

This is typical for Ford and is to your advantage..

How do you deal with a trade in when signing a new lease? FX4 2013 33K Loaded offering $34K for it. But not sure how they figure the lease with a trade. 55400 for the new one payment 650 for 3 years. Giving back $6600 cash.

A trade in works the same on a lease as it does on a purchase. Do you have positive or negative equity? If positive equity, we would recommend having the dealer cut you a check for that amount, rather than using it as a down payment on a new lease. If the truck is stolen or totaled, you lose that money.

It's not a rebate.... it's just a lower sticker price and invoice from the manufacturer.

    .25% MF for 24 months; 58% for 24/15 RWD and 63% 24/15 for the 4x4.

Just to clarify ...  Do you mean .25% MF as in .0025 MF = 6% APR? I feel like I'm wrong because that seems awfully high.

No .. Ford expresses their MF as a percentage. Divide by 2400 to get the actual decimal value MF - .00010

Much appreciated. Thanks. Just for my knowledge, normally one divides the APR by 2400 to obtain the MF as a decimal, correct? Would it be correct to say Ford is offering .25% APR in theory?

I don't think it's a true apples-to-apples comparison with a loan interest rate, given that the interest isn't applied against the entire amount borrowed.

But, the 2400 conversion factor is useful for taking a money factor and converting it to an interest rate.

Thank you! Also, I'm not questioning credibility, but can I ask where these numbers are published? If I walk into a dealer and the MF is different, do I have anyway to support the one you provided? I know they change based on the bank, are these the lowest MFs from the lowest bank Ford uses?

These numbers are not published publicly, and represent the base rate for tier 1 credit from Ford.

If the dealer is inflating the MF, politely but firmly explain to them that you won't sign a deal. Plenty of Ford dealers to choose from.

What cab style? MF and residual vary based on that.

Ford is one of the few manufacturers to publish residuals for 18K per year.
