    "Active lane keeping assist isn't much better, as most bounce the car to and fro within the lane like a drunkard is at the wheel."

    In my vision of heaven, drivers who use these systems all are pulled over by cops and made to perform the full battery of roadside sobriety tests.

    In fact, I would bet that drunks will start using these systems to mask the fact that they're drunk...whereupon the car drives drunk FOR them, and they make the long drive to the barracks in the back of a patrol car.
