I couldn't find a separate thread for 2015 Honda Civic prices paid and buying experiences so wanted to create a new thread for it.

I am in the market looking for a 2015 Honda Civic EX and was wondering what people are paying/paid for this vehicle. I would appreciate if people can share their experiences and other details that will help the aspiring buyers. I am located in Northern California.

Not necessarily specific to the Civic, but a discussion on Honda extended warranties:

Bought the 2015 Honda Civic Hybrid yesterday here in NorCal.
    MSRP $25,455(including transportation)
    Invoice: $23,930.90
Internet Price/Selling Price: $21,695 OTD=$23,809 $0 down ; rate= 0.9% @60 months Dealership is Stockton Honda if anyone is interested. It was a easy transaction with no surprises. The internet sales manager and other staff were very professional & helpful.

Also, received quotes for Honda Auto Care Extended Warranty from online Honda dealers for 8Y/100K(D80) & 8Y/120K(D82). The best quotes were from Hyannis Honda but they don't sell the coverage for California. The next best was Saccuci at 985 & 1110 respectively.

Looking for a 2015 Civic Ex sedan as well. I was pricing 2014's back in November when they were clearancing and best pricing was $18,300 but I wasn't ready to buy.

Here's some info on my purchase (cross-posted on the 9th Gen Civic forum): http://www.9thgencivic.com/forum/9th-gen-civic-general-chat/119634-2015-civic-prices-paid.html

I bought a new 2015 Civic EX Sedan in Urban Titanium Metallic from a dealer in the Atlanta, GA metro area on 12/13/2014.

    Vehicle price - $18,974.00
Accessories (door edge film, wheel locks, trunk tray, mud guards) - $674.59
    Doc Fees - $599.00
    TAVT Tax - $1,366.71
    Title Fee & Lemon - $80.00
TOTAL COST OUT THE DOOR - $21,694.30

I ended up putting $10,000 down and financing the rest through Honda for 60 months at 0.9% financing. My monthly payments are $199.47.

Overall, I'm very happy with the deal. I had emailed all of the dealers in the Atlanta area, and got a few responses (some of which were just patently absurd). I took the cheapest option (from a dealer in the suburbs) to the dealer nearest my home (in Atlanta), since they said over the phone that they'd price match. It turned out that their offer to match the deal was bogus, so I walked out. I ended up driving the the dealer that had emailed me the original best offer and was able to get it slightly lower than the emailed amount.

Good price on the 2015 EX at $18974.00. They got you a bit on the accessories though. I believe you can have all those accessories delivered to your door from Handa accessories for $303 but that doesn't include installation.

Best quote I've got on a 2015 EX here in the general Sacramento area this week was $19,400. One of them had a couple of still new 2014's for $1k less at $18,400 so I purchased one. Two other dealerships I dealt with who still had 2014's in stock wouldn't touch that price. One of them got mad when I forwarded them the quote. They said Honda incentives ended on 01/05 and had no idea how they could offer that price. Then they disparaged the lower priced dealer and said they were probably old units with added dealer accessories and I would be forced to purchase them & protection packages in order to get that price. Of course none of that was true. I already had made sure no accessories etc. Car was mfg 09/2014 and only 11 miles on the clock.

OTD price was $20,217. Put $5k down and financed the rest at 0.9% for 60 months, Payments are $260 month. Hope that helps someone.

We just bought a 2015 Honda Civic SE today. MSRP was $20,810 and paid $18,972 before TTL. In Franklin TN. Financed it through a lease (with a zero sum trade in/pay off of a previous 2012 lease) -- out the door lease price with $19 in tax each month was $275. Around $700 for TTL and doc fees. (Cap cost was $20,486 -- MF was kinda high I think this month at .00088 and residual at 59% on the SE model (I think it's 60% on the LX).

Yes... .00089 MF for the region that includes Tennessee, this month... Not a bad rate, but half the country gets .00041

Actually, a price of $18,974 coupled with a dealer document profit amount of $599 means the true selling price was about $19,575. Pretty close to the True Car price of $19,600 or so. And this does not consider the additional large profit the dealer received from the accessories it sold, probably close to $400 or more.

Of course, True Car prices need to be reduced by $300 or so to account for the fee they charge dealers for every sale through them.

Just one example of the deception possible when dealer's employ a large document fee deception. Fact is the dealer document fee is simply the selling price separated into two components, price and document fee. By doing this the dealers believe buyers will not negotiate the doc fee, which increases their profit and increases the buyer's cost. Dealers use the word fee to lend some legitimacy to the amount. Sad part is our elected officials allow them to get away with this deception.

Anyone interested in an honest dealer's perspective on these fees should google EarlStewartOnCars.

The best way to price a vehicle is to take invoice, reduce that by dealer hold back, and further reduce by any incentives offered by the manufacturer both to the customer and the dealer. Then add a fair profit, say 3 percent to start. Negotiate up from that amount, not down from MSRP.

Portland area, I just bought an LX Sedan CVT for $18,100 + TTL, which included door edge guard and mud guards. It was around $17,755 without the options, but the options were already installed (and overpriced, imo). But the final OTD price was satisfactory. Other internet departments were quoting $18,700 before options, so this was the best deal I could get without haggling.

After a month on the hunt, just picked up a 2015 Civic LX sedan, manual, for $17,515 ($19,310 MSRP, $18,185 invoice). It was a 36/15 lease with zero down, no trade-in, drive-off ~$600 (first month, DMV, doc), Northern California. Monthly payment with tax is $239. Very happy with this deal and have to thank the folks here for the wealth of information.

I'm getting $155.99/mo before tax with your numbers. 9% tax takes the payment to only $170.03.

Ask the dealer what the net cap cost is, and how they calculated that number from the selling price.

So do you think there is any room to lower the monthly cost by pushing back on the acquisition fee or lease cash available to the dealer?

Acquisition fee is imposed by the bank and cannot be negotiated out. Only way to lower the payment is to negotiate a lower selling price.

Just bought a 2015 LX with manual transmission for $16, 250 ( Tax, license, doc fees = $17, 875 OTD ) in SoCal. Internet prices ranged from a low of $16, 150 to $17,000, best deals were around the inland empire area. Took the best quote and shopped my local dealers in San Diego, managed to get within $100 of matching prices. All the Civic models were fairly negotiable in price with the exception of the SI, in that respect the dealers weren't going down more than $500 off the MSRP.

I understand that there is a $900 dealer cash and 0.9% to 48 months and 1.9% to 72 months right now. If I finance through Honda, would I get $500 on top of that as flex cash?
    Thanks.

Created an account cause these threads helped me a bunch:

Just leased a 2015 Honda Civic LX Manual Transmission 24/12k at $16,400.
    MSRP = 19,310
    Money Factor = .00041
    2 year RV = 66%
    3 year RV = 60%

    Title + Doc + Acquisition Fees = ~$1100
Utilized $900 dealer cash and $500 Honda Grad Program

No down, no first month payment, 23 payments for 24 mo at ~$213, with a $350 turn-in fee.
I believe 36/12k not changing anything else would be about $180/mo for 35 mo.

Though keep in mind I probably could have pushed the cap cost down a little bit--there also was another same model on the showroom (keep in mind--end of month and end of quarter) going for $16,166 but it wasn't the color I wanted. Also the sales guy was a solid dude, so I wanted to help him out even though the finance guy was kind of a prick.

Here are the details about my 2015 Honda Civic EXL 36 months 10k with 0 down at signing + DMV registration fee that I closed today :

    Residual Value = 13,959.40
    Miles = 30 K in 3 yrs
    Monthly Lease Payments = 250 x 35 months
Total Cost of Lease = 23,265.90

First Month Installment + Doc Fee = $600 paid by dealer.

Gross Capitalized Cost Reduction = 0

$0 down at the time of signing lease.

Been reading these forums in the last couple of days; immensely helpful; hoping to contribute and ask a question.

I am negotiating for a 2015 Honda Civic LX CVT in Seattle region. The best offer so far is about $171,000 + $150 doc fee + TTL = OTD ~$19100. Is this a good price? According to Edmunds this is more than $1500 below invoice. I am a little unsure.

    Thanks

Is it just me, but I'm getting more or less the same prices from most of the dealers around my area. I'm buying a Civic SE and they are giving me $18,200 to $18,600 before taxes and fees. Is this a good deal? I'm surprised that the spread between the highest and lowest is so small!!!

Forgot to mention that I use edmunds.com price promise and truecar.com to get online quotes. Got quotes from about 12 dealers and took the best one. The best quotes were from edmunds.com price promise. The edmunds.com price promise actually emailed actual prices from dealers. I just called the dealer to confirm price and they had the car in the color and trim I wanted. That took roughly 1 and 1/2 hours. Took me 5 hours to go see the car, test drive and do all the paperwork. By the way, I am in the San Francisco Bay Area. Hope this helps someone.

.00030 MF and 60%/58% residual (assuming sedan). $1000 lease cash

    660+ is correct.

Just wanted to add that I bought a Honda warranty from Saccucci Honda online. after I got my car. The finance guy tried to get me to buy their warranty offered by their dealership right when we got in the office. I politely declined and continued on with the paperwork. At the end, he really tried to hard sell the warranty by adding years and discounting but I still declined. Better deal with Saccucci Honda and it is an Honda warranty. Just my two cents.
