    Costco leads the way again. Dropped 12 cents this morning to $2.07. Some have adjusted a little, but by like two cents. I expect better things tomorrow.

    Amazing our cheapest RUG is $3.13 today at one Costco. We have 11 Costco locations with gas. They vary from $3.13 to $3.29. Only one Costco has diesel and it is $2.91. ARCO is selling ULSD at $2.85 and RUG as high as $3.59. San Diego has always been crazy with prices 50 cents different on opposite corners. If you want to pay the highest price we have RUG for as much as $4.19 and diesel at $4.09. B)

    Hey now, bite your tongue. You're dissing one of Las Cruces most illustrious citizens, Clyde Tombaugh, who discovered it. And Pluto really is a planet, albeit "officially" a dwarf planet.

    Tombaugh wound up teaching at the university here for a decade or so, and his family put in a nice small gallery adjoining the Unitarian Church here, but the stained glass wall in it often overshadows the work on display.

    By the time I got to the Costco today it had gone down another two cents.

    Flew to LA yesterday to see the family. Gas prices are in the mid-3's in LA with a high around $4 in Malibu.

    Diesel is consistently less that RUG at the moment.

    We've been holding steady at $2.05 at Costco for a while now, waiting for the second wave of price drops. Most of the other locals stations have been dropping a little but at more than a dine over Costco.

    In central CT...
    Filled up with RUG for 2.439 on Sunday. Today I filled up with RUG in PA for 2.599.
    I'm pretty sure CT taxes are higher, so not sure why PA prices are higher.
    Put the most fuel in my Fusion in a single fill up, 14.6 gallons, still was only around $37.

    Filled up yesterday for $3.299 in Southern California ... RUG. Chevron station across the street had RUG for $3.999.

    Still $2.179 here in Colorado.

    Nope, PA gas taxes are higher 68.9 cents (with another planned increase next year) in PA vs 65.8 in CT.

    Not only that PA has the highest diesel tax last I looked at 88.6 cents. I feel I would be punished returning to the land of my birth.

    When you are a one pony show like Alaska, you better be prepared when the pony dies. Parnell screwed up the Palin deal with the oil companies. So now they have a new governor. The Dems and Reps lost this one. Friends tell me that business in the Arctic is as crazy as ever. Moving both directions from Prudhoe.

    Well, the wind gave me a momentary scare. The Costco has a sign where you turn with the prices. The wind had blown off the numbers and the sign said $2.57 for regular and $2.40 for premium. Actual prices $2.05 for regular and $2.42 for premium.

    After a long spell of the price not budging we have hit the price decline again. Costco went down to $2.03 and everyone else seems to have followed coming down two cents. Waiting for it to dip below $2 again.

    RUG at Costco in El Paso yesterday was $2.05. Sam's Club here has RUG for $1.95. That's probably a dime cheaper than my usual station, but it's been a while since I've driven by it. Gonna need gas in a few days though.

    It looks like everyone is moving in step. Costco go down 2 cent everyone goes down two cents, Except the local Shell who seems to live in another world where the highest price is the most desired. Well, sure by him. He came down a dime to $2.29 still making him the priciest in town.

    Costco has gone under 3 bucks at $2.94 for RUG. You can buy RUG in San Diego from the lowest Costco to the highest Union 76 at $3.99. Crazy wild variation. Diesel varies from ARCO $2.65 to Valero charging $4.09. Guess where I buy gas and diesel???

    Filled up today - didn't have the patience to wait for a free pump at the two stations near Mesilla that were $2.03 so paid a few cents more at a Murphy to avoid the wait.

    The station that won't let you pay at the pump is down to $1.99 for regular. $2.05 to $2.09 is pretty common "downtown".

    Put some RUG in the Fusion today, same price as the last time I filled up the Escape a few days ago, 2.4199. I'm thinking the fuel formulation has changed, the Escape fuel mileage readout is up over 2 mpg over what I had been seeing since I bought it a couple of months ago.

    Gasbuddy is sending out a warning of prices going up as the summer blend gas comes in. We will see. It's not like I can stock up.

    Interesting day yesterday ... normally, I fill up on Wednesdays, but I was able to stretch this last tank one extra day. My pizza shifts saw me driving fewer miles than normal.

    Anyway ... I noted in an earlier post that RUG at our local Kroger was $2.159. When I filled up yesterday morning, the price had dropped to $2.129. I get .03 for my rewards card, so I paid $2.099. When I got back to town several hours later after running a few errands, the price had gone back up to $2.159.

    Guess my Irish luck was with me...

    Red Bluff, CA RUG is $2.99 diesel $2.89. Ran into a problem at ARCO Coalinga CA. Diesel $2.49, only problem only truck nozzles at the station. Shell across the street selling diesel $2.69 Credit. Looking forward to cheaper diesel in Oregon.

    Union 76 in Roseburg I paid $2.33 cash for diesel. In Cottage Grove prices like CA. Chevron across from the hotel $2.99 for both RUG and diesel. I will wait until we are headed home and get a better price. Still have 300+ miles on this tank with 400 miles on it.

    Safe travels! Not sure what's going on here; one of the cheaper gas places is up to $2.12 for regular. Same station had diesel for $2.63. Heading to town again tomorrow and will scope out the other "usual suspects" but it sounds like my usual spots are up a dime or more, per Gasbuddy.
