Hi - I wasn't afraid to put in options (close to $20k of them) - I saw no reason or benefit for the 2 extra lines (though I am paying a extra $1k for wood, so what do I know?). I seriously considered the diesel, but at the end of the day I felt getting gas (okay, diesel) would be a pain in my area, and I felt the cost versus mpg versus diesel fuel cost didn't make it compelling (to me).
I don't think diesel is huge in central NJ. Sure, there are SOME stations that sell it. But all sell gasoline. Just my .02

I've priced the car on TrueCar and maybe someone can check my math before I go to the dealer? 535dx fully loaded, msrp of $78,225, truecar estimate of $71,620. I used a MF of .0013 and depreciation of 62%, 36 mo in NYC calculated to $798/mo before tax; $869 inc tax; $906 inc lux tax. Out of pockets should be about $2,750. Does that sound about right?

You're right I may have miscalculated that. First month ($900) Acquisition (about $650) DMV (about $300) and maybe security ($???). But I've had BMW's as recently as 4 years ago so maybe the security gets waived?

Acquisition fee is now $795, and yes the security deposit is often waived.

I'd make sure I understand every piece of the up front costs.

Was there any trunk money last month? I had an offer for 1500 under invoice but there wasn't a promotion running. Just wondering if the trunk money went away and this replaced it.

Are there new MF and Residual numbers for the 535D AWD; 36 mo/10k? They've returned the eco credit ($500) and added Anniversary Credit ($1,500).

I've been quoted $70,870 for a car with an MSRP of $78,225. I ran the math and got a lease rate of $755, plus tax, which in NYS at 8.875 totals $822/mo. Does this look correct? Is there still luxury tax? The dealer offered $876/mo inc all taxes.

My numbers match yours. Ask the dealer what the net cap cost is .. if different from the $70,870 number, find out what they've added.

I get $471/mo before tax. My guess is the net cap cost is higher than the selling price if you're rolling everything in.

Base MF is being used, so that's good.

Doc Fees: $350
DMV: $315

So about $2885. Not sure if they are adding on a luxury tax of $220 so that would take it to $3105. With the taxes and fees rolled in does the $565 per month sound right? Selling may be less than $48000 and more in the mid to high $47000s at this point. The conversation is now revolving more around the total monthly payment.

$3105 / 36 = $86.25/mo, so the new payment would be $557.25/mo, pretty close to the $565/mo quote.

Don't negotiate on payment, negotiate the selling price and make sure you understand all the costs being added to that to get the net cap cost.

Have a lease offer on a 2015 528i 36mo/10k with approx 3K miles (dealership loaner). MSRP is $55,700. Their offer is $549 includes tax ($518 + 31)... As far as we can figure, they are giving us 10% off MSRP ($4650 'BMW loaner discount' + another $920). Also, $2K at inception includes 1st payment, taxes, dealer fees.....no cap reduction amount. Can you help us with a # that we should work towards? We know this offer is too high. Isn't there a $1500 anniversary credit also? Thank you for your help!

Close to a deal on the 535d awd. Going fully loaded including Dynamic Handling. Does anyone have any insight into the Sport Transmission option? I've had paddles on 3 cars and never used them, and rarely ever use the shifter. But is the gearing actually modified and would it make any difference? I'd hate to go to the trouble of ordering this thing and not opting for a $500 option that would be noticeable.
