2016 Audi A6 Premium Plus Lease Question

Hello,

I am considering leasing a 2016 A6 Pemium Plus with some options and a MSRP of 62,255. This includes a 925 destination charge. I have negotiated the car down to 58,619.15. I will add Audi care for 829 as it adds 1% to the residual.

I'm looking at a lease of 36 months and 12,000 miles per year. Money factor is .00087 (2.09%) and the residual would be 56% plus 1% for Audi Care or 57%. I also will get 2,000 rebate for loyalty plus 750 from Audi(current lease incentive). The dealer tells me my residual is 35,485. Is this correct? I live in NY and the tax rate is 8%.

I will put 0 down and my monthly payment is 856.

Help, they've confused me.

Thanks,

I confirm the MF of .00087 and the 36/12 residual of 56% (57% with AudiCare). Using your MSRP and selling price, I get a payment of $782.43/mo with tax.

Ask the dealer what the net capitalized cost is with the rebates subtracted out and any fees and taxes added in. I suspect that is the cause of the difference between the dealer quote and my calculation.

    Hi Michaell,

Here are the following numbers from the lease sheet. The agreed upon value of the vehicle is 59,962.44 but the gross capitalized cost is 63,945.41. They subtract out the Audi money (2,000 + 750) and call the adjusted capitalized cost as 61,195.41

Residual value is 35,485.35 and depreciation and any amortized amounts is 25,710.06.

Rent charge is 5,081.46 and the total of base payments is 30,791.52.

So capitalized cost is 63,945.41 and the adjusted capitalized cost is 61,195.41. How do they come up with these numbers? I had agreed to paying 58,619.15 for the car and thgen added the Audi Care for 829.

    Thanks,

Using the $62,255 MSRP and $61,195 adjusted (net) cap cost, I now get a payment of $862.13/mo with tax. Ask the dealer how they got the adjusted cap cost number - what fees have been added, what incentives have been applied. You want to be 100% comfortable with the numbers before signing.

One other suggestion is to get a second Audi dealer involved - the competition between them should help you get a better deal.

Thanks Michaell, unfortunately there's not another Audi around for 90 miles. Do you think this is a good deal? Looking through the forum it seems fair as there is no money down.

You are getting the base MF .. the only question is if you are comfortable with the selling price. Usually, getting 4-6% off sticker is good. If you are comfortable, then there is no reason not to do the deal.
