If the $3000 is the Due at Signing amount, and covers taxes, fees and 1st payment, then the quote is right on the money.

Interesting - so what does this mean? Is there something sketchy going on here? Or is the first month and tag still considered $0 down?

    Is this a fair deal?

If I use the .00110 MF for this, I get a pre-tax payment of $563.14. Dealer may be marking up the MF or there are other fees going into the cap cost that you aren't aware of.

    MSRP- $52,201
    Selling Price: $47,766.79

Due on delivery : $3000 which covers- first mo payment+all taxes and fee

    dealership confirmed -:- Residual=61% | MF: .00110 ,

I don't track selling prices, so can't comment on that. There is a fair amount of money hidden somewhere that accounts for the difference in payments.

Only way to lower the payment at this point is to negotiate more of a discount from sticker.

After looking at the lease there are the following fees:

    Misc fees = 52.71
    Tag and Fee = 267.85
    Dealer Fee/Electronic Registration fee = 811.95
Total amount due at signing = 1762.51

The dealership told me that they were going to "eat the cost" of $933.16 of the total due at signing. So my actual due at signing was only $829.35.

On the lease itself it says there is a dealership contribution of $933.16.

It also says I have 35 mo payment at $630 so that confirms that the $829 that I paid upfront included the first month payment, right?

Does this make sense or does it still seem like there are hidden fees?

Dealership contribution is another way of saying discount from sticker. I still think the net cap cost is higher than the $50,298 you listed above, since I get a payment of $563/mo if I use that number.

What state is this? And the tax rate?

Florida taxes the monthly payment, so the after tax payment jumps to about $597/mo .. still quite a difference to $630/mo that the dealer is quoting.

Okay so it sounds like I got a bad deal. Do I have any retroactive ability to go back and maybe get some money back or will they just laugh at me?

Any clue where they could be hiding the money? Shouldn't it say somewhere on the lease agreement? Can you suggest any area to look?

    Thank you!

Lesson learned - just because a dealer is quoting a good sales price, doesn't mean your getting a good monthly lease payment!

If you've signed the contract and taken delivery, not sure how much can be done at this point.

Yes, you've got to review all the fees and other charges that could be added in behind the scenes. I do know Florida is home to the exorbitant dealer fee - $600, $700, $800. That can easily add $20-25/mo to the payment.

I got these two deals from a dealer in VA today.

2016 MDX Advance and Entertainment SH-AWD
    MSRP: $58,000
Internet Price: $52,990 (Does not include $920 destination or $599 dealer process fee or tt&t)
Acura Luxury Lease $0 down $697 per month 36 months (miles not disclosed in email)

2016 MDX Tech with Entertainment and AcuraWatch + SH-AWD
    MSRP: $53,410
Internet Price: $48,690 (Does not include $920 destination or $599 dealer process fee or tt&t)
Acura Luxury Lease $0 down $612 per month for 36 months (miles not disclosed in email)

The discount price seems pretty good, but when I use my lease calculator with July's MF and Residuals, I get a lot lower numbers. What I am missing besides the fact you still come out of pocket a ton $$$ for fees and taxes or add them in for a even crazier monthly payment.

I am sending a SOS to the leasing PROS!!

You are missing just about everything... ask them the CAP cost (who quotes a price that doesn't include destination?). If we don't know the mileage allowance, then we have nothing to start with.

I will try and get the mileage limit for the quote. We ran into a little hiccup, my trade is an Ally Lease :'(

I was so happy to see the reduced price (hard to get in my local area) I did not pay attention to the lacking information. I had been calculating the deals using 12K miles, 36 months, 61% percent residual and the .00100 MF for 0 down. With paying all the tt&t out of pocket their lease quote numbers still seemed super high.

If I can escape my Ally Lease (NEVER LEASE WITH ALLY!!!) I will get additional details on their quote.

I saw that the MF and Residual on an AWD Base with 12K miles per year is .00141 and 63%. Can you confirm that, and you let me know what those numbers would be at 10K miles per year. Also, could you let me know what the numbers are for 10K and 12K for the following: AWD with Tech. FWD Base. FWD with Tech. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Add 1% to go from 12K/yr to 10K/yr.

All base models are .00141 MF and 63% residual for 36mo, 12K/yr.

All other models are .00110 MF and 61% residual for 36mo, 12K/yr

    2016 - .00110 MF and 61% residual for 36mo, 12K/yr

2015 - 57%, but no MF information exists, so I'll assume .00170 (standard MF from Honda/Acura)

    Residual Value: 35,960.00

    Depreciation and Amortized Amount: 20,477.91

    Rent Charge: 3,659.01

    Total Base Payments: 2,4136.92

    Lease Payments: 36

    Base Monthly Payment: 670.47

    Agreed upon value: 55,910.00

    Sales Tax: 2,316.87

    Title and Registration: 52.75

What state is this? I ask because you mention you paid tax with money due at signing but also list tax as part of your gross cap cost. It's one or the other; can't (or shouldn't be) both.

No laughing here; think of it as a 3 year learning experience.

Based upon the figures I posted, was there any discount on the MDX? (With the exception of my down payment?

I believe the price they charged $55,910 was $3,000 higher than the internet price ($52,990) email (I posted earlier). I have a brain injury, I know I should have taken someone with me to the dealership. :'(

It's possible the dealer rolled in the up front costs into the final price.

Any comments on following quote, is this a good deal?
MDX fwd with advance package, with price from via costco in riverside, ca got a discounted price of $48787, not including destination
    lease of 3yr/30k,
    residual of 62%

also additional question do i need capitalized cost?, since destination cost if not included, is it negotiable, and what should be an approximate amount.

Destination is not negotiable; it's on the window sticker and is part of the capitalized cost subject to the residual percentage.
