2015 TLX 3.5 SH-AWD/TECH & ADV Lease.

edited September 2015 in Acura
I'm in the process of researching the MF & RV for a 2015 TLX 3.5 SH-AWD/TECH & ADV Lease.
I would like the MF/RV values for 36/39M and 10, 12, 15k options (see below and advise if correct).
The initial MSRP numbers I have in Westchester, NY are as follows:
2015 TLX 3.5 SH-AWD/TECH - MSRP $42,495. My offer $37,180.
2015 TLX 3.5 SH-AWD/ADV - MSRP $45,720. My offer $40,164.

FYI - I will actually register the car in FL as I have my last 3 leases w/Acura.

Thx

Thx for the info much appreciated. So what do you mean by $2250 lease cash?
I assume minimum $2250 at lease signing? Does the $2250 improve the MF?

$2250 lease cash is a dealer incentive from Acura. You use that knowledge to negotiate a lower selling price.

Is this a National incentive by Acura Dealers or limited by region?

The numbers we have for Acura are national.

Looking to lease w/n the next few weeks. I'm thinking of an offer for a Tech of $37,180 and for an ADV $40,164. These numbers were derived from Consumer Reports. Not sure if these numbers would include the lease cash of $2250. Also, researching options/accessories on Acura.com adds another possible $2000-3000. So the lease cash makes it almost a wash. See attached spreadsheet where I made an attempt to calculate my lease payments. Let me know where I went wrong so I can go back and recalculate (plug in the correct values). I will send you an email with the file also.

Your residual values don't look right.

To get the residual, multiply the percentage by the full MSRP, including destination.

If you want a good lease deal, pass on the accessories.

Question in re to capitalizing certain costs/fees.
    What can/cannot be capitalized:
    1. taxes
    2. options/accessories
    3. bank fee
    4. anything else?

    1 yes
    2 yes
3 yes, but there may be a bump in the MF to do so
    4 not sure

That's what I thought - thanks for the confirmation.
So now I'd like to throw out a hypothetical:
    2015 TLX 3.5 SH-AWD/ADV:
    MSRP (including $920 dest) = $45,720
    DI - Dealer Invoice (+ $300 Advert fee) = $44,384
SP - Selling Price (or my price offer) = $40,164 (minus the $300 advert fee) - this is where I have a question. I got the $40,164 from Consumer Reports recommendation as a bottom line best price a consumer could offer a dealer for the car. I would assume that the $2250 LC (Lease Cash - dealer incentive) would most likely be baked in already to the $40,164. Do you concur? I can't see the dealer going any lower than the $40,164.

Don't know much about the method CR uses to quote prices, but it seems likely that their pricing includes the lease cash. However, it doesn't hurt to offer $37,914 and see what the dealer says.

Ok - say they accept $37,914. Here are the assumptions and the numbers I get when determining my monthly lease payment:
    1. No money down.
    2. MSRP = $45,720
    3. SP (Selling Price) = $37,914
    3. BF (Bank Fee) = $595
    4. OP (Options) = $3,000 - don't intend to add $3,000 worth of options but taking worst case scenario.
    5. Taxes - I'm estimating over a 36M lease term $1,717 or $47.69/month - this seems low to me can you advise actuals for Westchester County, NY?
    6. Capitalized Cost (CC) = SP + BF + OP + Taxes = $37,914 + $595 + $3,000 + $1,717 = $43,226
    7. Residual Value (RV) = MSRP * RV = $45,720 * .053 = $24,232
    8. Total Depreciation (TD) = CC-RV = $43,226-$24,232 = $18,994
    9. Monthly Depreciation (MD) = TD/36M = $18,994/36 = $527.62
    10. Monthly Interest (MI) = (RV+TD)*MF = ($24,232+$18,994)*0.00026 = $17.54
    11. Pre-Tax Monthly Payment (PT) = MD+MI = $527.62 + $17.54 = $545.16 (since I capitalized the $1,717 taxes.
    12. So my monthly payment would be $545.16 - is this correct?

Ok - the dealer accepted my offer on SH-AWD/ADV of $37,768:
    1. No money down.
    2. MSRP = $45,720
    3. SP (Selling Price) = $37,768
    3. BF (Bank Fee) = $595
    4. OP (Options) = $500
    5. Taxes - $904 or $25.11/month - for Broward County, FL.
    6. Capitalized Cost (CC) = SP + BF + OP + Taxes = $37,7684 + $595 + $500 + $904 = $39,767
    7. Residual Value (RV) = MSRP * RV = $45,720 * .053 = $24,232
    8. Total Depreciation (TD) = CC-RV = $39,767-$24,232 = $15,535
    9. Monthly Depreciation (MD) = TD/36M = $15,535/36 = $431.54
    10. Monthly Interest (MI) = (RV+TD)*MF = ($24,232+$15,535)*0.00026 = $16.64
    11. Pre-Tax Monthly Payment (PT) = MD+MI = $431.54 + $16.64 = $448.18 (since I capitalized the $904 taxes.
    12. So my monthly payment would be $448.18

Congrats! $448/mo for a car that stickers at $46K is a pretty decent deal. Enjoy the new Acura.

Hi. Looking to lease a 2015 TLX Advance SH-AWD in MD.
Do you have the following info for the month of October for this model:

    1) MF and RV for 10k/36, 12k/36 and 15k/36
    2) Any new incentives from Acura when compared to September (lease cash of $2250 or anything new?)

Apparently 2016's are slowly trickling into the dealerships so I'm assuming 2015's need to move more than ever..

    Thanks for your help!
