    They're on the ground.

    Have they even arrived yet?

Right now in the Twin Cities they're selling for $500.00 over invoice. The exception is the Touring; that's selling for MSRP.

I have been shopping around for 2016 Accord Sport CVT, in NY Area. Contacted at least five dealers. Tried to get it at invoice with destination for $23,666. Unfortunately, none of them are willing to sell aleast at invoice. Best price I received so for is $23,850 + taxes and fees. Any input is appreciated.

Bite the bullet at a few bucks over invoice or, wait until the end of the year, say December.

Here's a data point. I bought my 2016 Accord EX-L sedan on Sept 5 (labor day weekend) for 26,500 + 300 processing +TTL in MD (DC area). Invoice is $26,954 so I was $150 under invoice if you include all the fees. I emailed about 20 dealers the week before labor day and worked the quote down to 26,500 which was the best I could do. This was nearly a month ago and about 2 weeks after launch, so you can probably do better now, at least around here (DC, MD, VA area)

    Hello Users,

I am in market for 2016 Accord EX with HONDA Sensing in Orlando, Florida area. Can any body please share there buying experience and Itemized amount they paid for the car. I see most dealers are charging $ 700 dealer fees in Orlando area.

I own 2008 Accord Sedan which i plan to keep, thinking between 2016 Accord or CRV as my second vehicle, just worried about the 2015 CRV vibration issue i read online. I can wait for 2016 CRV too as i am interested in getting SENSING which is only available on 2015 CRV touring model (don't want to spend that much on CRV).

Mine is family of 2 adults and one 6 year old kid. With one more kids in about year.

Any advice or input will be very helpful, thank you in advance.

So, after contacting about three dealerships. I received the similar responses, which were $200 to $800 over invoice. I tried to negotiate few hundred dollars under invoice or a least invoice. But they simply let me walk away. So I went ahead and contacted dealer with $200 over invoice. Fortunately, they didn't have the car in stock. While waiting, i decided to contact more dealers through email. None of them quoted the price over the email. But, one did promise to beat the best price by few hundreds dollars if I came that same day. I was very skeptical and though it was just a way for me to come in. However, I decided to visit that evening and I am glad I did. I was able to get the car for $300 under invoice and it was by far the best experience I had purchasing a car.

Any trade involved? If so how much they paid and what was the car (year model mileage)? Thanks. I am looking to get EX-L too but the dealer says "They are selling at MSRP". I told him bluntly "Last thing I will buy at MSRP is a Honda."

No trades. Yeah I was told the same at first but I shopped around and got a good deal.

does this deal look good. Reason to go for 2016 model is i can get honda sensing. Appreciate feedback experience.

    Honda financing 1.9. %for 60 months
  • chandlervtchandlervt Member Posts: 16
Is Honda financing 1.9 for 2016 models? I didn't see that on their site. Based on the EX-L price posted above your post $25400 for EX is high - not to mention dealer fees + tags cannot be $1200. Thats insane! May be its localised to Florida.

I figured to post my experience in case it helps others...

I just bought a 2016 EX-L V6 Modern Steel Metallic (dark grey w/light grey interior) with the decklid spoiler, wheel locks and trunk cargo tray for $30,900 + TTL. So, $1,059 under MSRP.

Dealer was Martin Honda in Newark, DE. Positive experience overall. I was working with two dealers (Union Park, who I also like), and Martin won (barely) on price. I did most all negotiating with each dealer over phone/email. Only stopped at location to do a test drive and see colors in person. My last car was the 2003 EX-L V6 which now goes to my kids, so no trade-in involved.

They had great financing deals, but only on the 2015 models. Since Android Auto was a must have for me, the 2016 was my only option. I also couldn't really wait to see if waiting a few months would help with pricing/negotiation. So, happy overall considering the car just came out.

"I bought the 1st 2016 Accord Touring my dealer got in. I paid just over, $31,000.00. Only extras were the mud guards, 2.05% interest. "

31000 is base price with Destination fees for car plus TTL, and 2.05 % APR if for 60 months?

    Appreciate your reply.

Definitely not going to pay anything above invoice on Accords. Paying MSRP or even close to it seems way too much money. In 2 months, you will see deals flying in on 2016s.

I purchased 2016 Accord EX-L from Huggins Honda in Dallas Ft. Worth area for $27440 OTD. Price includes wheel locks, mud guards, trunk tray, window tint, Title, Taxes. I almost went to every Honda dealership in the area, no one can meet/beat their price (not even close). Great buying experience, fast and easy.

No need. Got the same quote from dealership

I got a quote from the same dealership but on the V6. I feel like these accessories are jacking the price up. How does it look so far?

This is what I am being offered. How do I get them to quote me without all the addons, seems like a steep jump from the market price or the market price not correct.

    2016 Honda Accord EX-L V-6
    MSRP $31,465.00 .

    Market Pricing $25,546.34

    Drive Out Pricing $29,437.71

    This Drive Out Pricing Includes:

    Honda Destination and Handling
    Window Tint
Honda Protection Package: (wheel locks, splash guards, cargo tray)

How could the TTL be $1850? The car sales tax in VA is only about 4%. Did you mistakenly include the dealer processing fee in the TTL?

How did you manage that? The MSRP of the EX-L V6 is $31,465 not $26,900.
  • jpinva1jpinva1 Member Posts: 2
rlbjr2---Yeah. The $1850 includes tax, title, processing fee, and other fees. The car is on sale at FairfaxHonda dealership for $28526 from $30645 MSRP plus destination fee of $820. I negotiated from this price and got it down to $26900 including destination fee. The car is basic, no addons. The only extra is the mudguards.

That's a great price. Like $1500 below invoice.

The dealer processing fee at Fairfax is $585, so he paid $27,485+TTL for the V6, which is $1,361 below invoice. Good deal!

Picked up a 2016 Accord Touring Sedan on Saturday at Napleton Honda in St. Peters, MO. Got it for $33900 with no trade. I would have liked to have gotten the price down a bit more but the Touring model is in short supply. The car I got was brought in from Quincy, IL.

Firocity, That market pricing is for 2015 quote not 2016. I called them and she confirmed. Including the quotes I got.

    2015
    Market Pricing $25,305.52
    Drive Out Pricing $27,269.02

    2016
    Market Pricing $27,642.34
    Drive Out Pricing $29,757.13

They keep changing price. For V4 my first quote was 27449, next one was 27749. Not sure I trust Huggins but since I won't be trading in there is nothing to lose. Walk in with a credit approval from credit union

Best I have gotten so far is below for 2016 EX-L, but haven't contacted more than 3 dealers yet in Northern VA. Again without military incentive it seems too high, and I'm not financing with them anyway.

    Sale Price(including Military $500 bonus) $25,998.00
    Processing $599.00
    VA Taxes $1,135.61
    2YR VA Tags $103.50

    Total: $27,838.11

Throw in: A cargo tray, mud guards, wheel locks, and your first oil change.
We are open today until 7PM and tomorrow from 12PM to 5PM.
I look forward to hearing back from you.

Today I purchased my first Honda since my 1984 Civic.

Don't know what's going on in Atlanta, but these things are being discounted.

2016 EX-L, black on black, MSRP $29,390. Selling price $24,200. All weather mats $130.20.

Dealer fee $699. Stupid GA ad valorem $1914.50. $27,068.70 OTD. Drove a bunch of midsize cars, at $24,200 this sedan absolutely slays everything.

VA state tax Including license, tag, documentation everything was included . for accurate breakdown you do the math. I dont have papers handy now but I think documentation was around 550, tags and license was 107.

Destination was 750. I mean  we negotiated OTD and asked them to do match with OTD. So they did reverse calculation I guess.
