    Got it - thank you so much! By my calculations a 33 month lease would save $25 per month and about $700 over the life. Had no idea you could even lease for 33 months but I'll start asking for that from dealers now.

    33 month term is better on the Mazda3 sedan.

    MF of .00009 and residual is 4% higher than 36 month term.

    Nope. I have a list of cars I am interested in, so I keep asking at the beginning of each month to see if anything leaps out at me as being a great lease. My current lease is set to expire in the next few months.

    Please can I get the numbers for 36/15 lease and 36/20 lease in CT for Mazda3 S GT Hatchback Auto.

    Also I never leased before, is the %residual based on the MSRP or a negotiated purchase price.

    Extra miles are charged at .10-.25/mile and deducted from the residual.

    Residual is calculated off the bottom line price of the window sticker (including destination).

    I am using the Edmunds lease calculator for $20,415 MSRP and $11,636.55 Residual, 0.00013 MF, 39 months, $595 acquisition, $0 Title Reg Fees. I get Loan amount $21,010, Monthly Payment $260. They are advertising $229, 0 down on Mazda USA. What am I missing? Thank you!

    You are missing the discount from MSRP. The advertised lease assumes some sort of discount on the vehicle.
